Salem was very good to me. A week ago I got a Murano from him and the experience was awesome. He worked with me on the bank and he made it very comfortable for my first time buying experience. I highly recommend him to anyone, everyone.

I just bought a used Lexus RX from Salem Mansoir at Ion Cars in Jack London Square, Oakland, CA. Excellent, fantastic experience start to finish! I had been looking for a couple of months for a Lexus RX. I found his ad in the morning before he opened, he answered the call anyways, he texted me photos upon arriving to work, and tested the electric trunk with me on the phone.He agreed for me to test drive it that am to my trusted mechanic (Jimmy at Precision Auto in San Leandro). Jimmy said he was impressed with the attention to detail and part choices for upgrades that Salem did to place it on the market. Said it was very clean, safe, reliable, and an excellent purchase choice! Jimmy also said the price was great, and so did Carfax. I immediately went to the bank! Salem was super organized and efficient and quick with the paperwork when I brought the cashier's check. The vehicle is for a nonprofit and Salem knew how to do all of the DMV paperwork appropriately!The first few days of owning the vehicle, I drove it over 1k miles, even off roaded it, and there were zero issues.I highly recommend Salem's super clean vehicles and excellent customer service!

Our nonprofit for neurodiversity, California BrainWaves, bought a used SUV from Ion Cars in Oakland to transport people, donations, and haul for events. We are extremely pleased with the condition of the vehicle--even our mechanic was impressed! Seller knew how to set up everything through the DMV for our nonprofit purchase--entire process was seamless, from test drive that morning to our mechanic, mechanic's inspection, to purchasing that same afternoon! Highly Recommend!

The owner is a nice and honest person who will go out of his way to get you a good price and rate. It's a nice clean dealership, the cars are well taken care of and I would recommend this dealership for anyone who is looking to buy a car.

I would rate at 100 STARS if I can. I bought a Honda Civic EX from Selam today and everything just went so fast that I cannot help sharing you guys about how AMAZING Salem is. I thought the salesmen were all sleazy and always try to put add-ons into my list before I visited ion cars. However, he just made everything so smooth and reasonable. It is just like, I sat for a little while, signed a dozen names and the deal was closed. Before I actually paid for this car, he also encouraged me to take a test drive and gave me a comprehensive guide on driving, since I still hold the interim driver license. To be honest, I am gonna say he is a really smart, respectful and easy-going man. I would definitely recommend my friends to check out there!!!

If you are looking to buy a used car READ THIS: It's been 4 months since I bought my car... when I decided to buy a used car, I went to many dealerships/cities to compare cars (model year, features) and prices. I went to car dealers in LA, Bakersfield, San Jose, San Rafael, SF and the Bay Area....I also checked online in Carmax and Shift. From all of these places, Ion Cars - Salem had the best cars/price. He is really professional and goes above and beyond! Salem buys & sells cars in good condition. If you are planning to buy a used car, this is THE best dealership in California!

I had an awesome experience buying my first car from Salem. He's genuine, hard-working and gives great advice when it comes to making recommendations about what car to buy. He completely went the extra mile for me, answered all my questions and helped me to know I was getting a great deal and making a good purchase. All too often, car dealers get a bad rap for being sleazy. You won't find that here. The cars are really high quality as well. You can tell he selects models that people love and cars that have been kept in great condition. I really recommend this to anyone looking for an excellent car, who wants to support a local business and have an overall pleasant car buying experience!Salem took the worry and hassle out of the car buying experience and does all the hard work, including negotiating with the bank, for you! Plus, it's like I made a new friend.Go here! You won't regret it and you'll find a great, reliable car in the process!

ETA: 5 years and my Honda is still looking and running Great.Ion had a car I was interested in, accessible by transit, and 5 stars in Yelp!? As soon as I met Salem, I knew why. He impressed me with his customer service and treated me with respect. No tomfoolery.He answered my many questions, was amiable to getting the car looked over by a dealership mechanic of my choice before I purchased. He even got me better financing than my credit union.I waited 6 months to post this review, truly made this car buying experience a great.

Salem is great to work with. He is straight forward and honest about the cars he sells. He also knows cars very well down to the minute differences. Most importantly, Salem keeps his car in great shape. I recommend looking into his inventory at his website and discussing with Salem for your next used car.

Salem is the very best He is not only handsome, but very nice and pleasant. I appreciate his honesty. Very happy to hear his compliment on my car, since I loved driving my BMW. He is responsive and fair. The whole process took about 30 min. It's sad to bid goodbye to my car, but i know that it's in good hands now. Thumbs up and up! Ion carsThis is the second car we have purchased from Ion Cars in the past 14 months. We could not ask for a better experience with both transactions. Researching cars online, Ion cars always had the best prices and a good selection of used cars.Salem is the best car salesman we have ever encountered, he is upfront, honest, low pressure, patient and very easy going. Our most recent purchase of a 2017 Toyota Camry Hybrid was amazingly easy, we texted him in October of 2019 looking for a new car because our minivan had gone it last mile. We were in no rush because we had our son's car while he was away in college. Salem sent us a text in late February 2020 that he had just gotten this new car and wanted us to see it first. I am amazed that he remembered us 4 months later and found a car that fit all our criteria for the price, low miles and the make and model we wanted. We were in and out of his dealership in just over 60 minutes with a new car.We highly recommend Ion cars for a professional, honest, fair, low price and painless experience for purchasing a used car.Kathy and Sherman

Strongly recommend Ion Cars. I've sold my car to them while being 5,000 miles away (Paris). Salem is a great owner who's been very helpful throughout the process. He clearly and continuously communicated with me at every step of the way, including during the days following the sale. Since I was physically not present, a friend of mine had a Power of Attorney (DMV form) to complete the transaction. The entire process was smooth despite the stress of selling a car from a distance with 9 hours of time difference. As a bonus, I had forgotten my FasTrak toll tag in the car and Salem was kind enough to mail it to their customer service.

Loved working with Salem. The definition of not pushy salesman. He was knowledgeable about the car and open about both its pros and cons. He bent over backwards to work with me, and I have owned the car for about 6 months now still running beautifully and is everything I could have hoped for in a car. If I move back to the area I ll definitely work with Salem again.

TOTALLY LOVE ION CARS! Usually they say the best liars are salesmen, but Salem was totally honest and genuine about my best interest! I would recommend anyone and everyone to this car lot! They have great inventory for great prices with a great owner.... It literally doesn't get any better! I will be back for my next vehicle!! Much love.

Couldn t be a better experience in buying a car in the Bay Area than at Ion Cars. I got the best deal on a used Hyundai Accent. Salem has lots of option in terms of make and model of the car and I felt assured that I was getting the best deal.This is not your usual car dealership. There are no sales guys trying to pressurize you into something substandard and rip you off on the interest.Salem was very upfront about the issues with the car I was interested and did not hide anything and it made the decision making easier. Once I decided to buy the car, the paperwork went very smoothly and I was out with a fine car on the same day. I was proud of supporting a local business.Nest time I need a car, I am DEFINITELY going back to Ion Cars

Salem is the kind of sales person I aspire to be. He's never pushy he's always trying to help you get what you need. He's honest and sells good quality things that he can get behind. It's been about 3 years since I bought my car there, I think it had about 70k on it when I bought it now it has 100 k. There's only been one repair of any significance. He sold me a solid vehicle that I used for Uber and other businesses.

Shopping at Ion Cars with Salem was by far one of the best experiences in car shopping I have ever had. Salem, the owner, is a special person who really went above and beyond for me. He takes the upmost care of his cars and his clients. The Lexus 400h hybrid that I purchased from him was clean, inside and out. Not one issue. Amazing!!Two weeks after buying the car, a woman ran a red light, T-boned me and totaled the car. I went back to Salem to help me with me with getting the DMV records expedited for insurance, and he advocated for me in numberous ways that he did not have to. He helped me with the value of the car for insurance, handling dmv records, and working with my credit union.Salem is a mench, and wonderful guy with a big heart and a mouth full of sarcasm.I Highly, Highly Recommend Purchasing your next car from Ion Cars.And I send the biggest blessings to Salem, Ion Cars, and all the clients who purchase the super clean cars he brings in the door!I am so grateful to have worked with him. A word I can describe this place--professional . Salem is a very nice, passionate guy and with good attitude. He came to my place and checked my car from Oakland to San Francisco. And we closed our deal with a great price shortly. I was surprised I find this place on Yelp. Highly recommend to people who would love to sell or buy car here...good choice.

I have my dream car thanks to Salem at ion cars! I can't believe he made it happen for me! I'm still pinching myself. I very highly recommend buying a car from Salem. His inventory is immaculate and he will work really hard to get you the best financing possible. Thanks to Salem I'm driving a beautiful car and want to shout from the roof tops...woo-hoo!!

This is the only place I will buy a car. Just bought my third car from Salem. This one was for me, the other two for my sons. Salem knows about cars, has always been willing to work with me to ensure that I am a satisfied customer. In the past when I was looking to buy a car, I left the car lot feeling dirty. I have never felt like this at Ioncars. I have referred friends and co workers to Ioncars. Thank you Salem for running a business with integrity.

Salem went above and beyond with our purchase. We are in Southern Nevada, the car was in California and the finance company was Arizona. Plus we re in the middle of the vivid 19 virus. It took awhile but communication was open the whole time. Thanks again Salem.

Salem was awesome. I have been super skeptical of selling my car to people on craigslist and other people I've searched on the internet. I originally saw all of the great comments on yelp and was sold. There aren't many reviews here but if you are weary check out some of those! I called him this morning and he scheduled to come meet me in SF. He was so unbelievably patient with me and I was a space cadet and forgot my title back at my house and he was so nice about it and waited for me to go back and get it. He bought my car and i signed over the title that night, after we dropped off the car he gave me a ride back. Super cool guy, if I ever decide I want the car life back, I will go to him!

This is a review long over due. We were two danish touists who bought a car for a road trip back in 2017. With no previous arrangements, we went to ion cars and recived the greatest service! All we needed was a car duable for our road trip and with no knowledge of the amarican used car market, this place had every opportunity to rip us off, but didn't. We bought a car for around 1200 dollars used it for 3 months and where able to sell it on craigslist for the same price.Coming from Denmark we had tons of paper work to get through and we recieved help and guidance at every step. The two of us are recomending ion cars as much as possible and hoping to again start a US road trip from here. Many thanks from Tobias and Jesper from Denmark!
