I had a great experience with Honda of Oakland. Our salesperson Drake was kind and attentive without being pushy or annoying in any way. He was knowledgable and made us feel like we had no pressure to decide. We actually had fun test-driving and getting to know the options of the vehicle. The sale was right where we needed to be and the manager and financing department treated us with respect. I would recommend my family and friends to this dealership any time!

I had an excellent experience at Honda of Oakland! I just leased a brand new 2024 Civic Touring and they gave me an offer I couldn t refuse. They were professional, HONEST, and friendly no games or time wasted.I had an appointment in the morning and was taken care of right away by Delleon (sales). Daniel, the GM, supported the transaction by welcoming my budget and wants (white civic touring with black leather and accessories). They even went to Hayward to personally pick up the car for me as it wasn t in stock at Oakland. Overall, the transaction took about 3 hours total, which is great. Everything went seamlessly and the entire team at Honda of Oakland rocked. Special shout out to finance (Filipino man with long hair lol sorry, forgot his name) for his great customer service, timeliness with paperwork, knowledge and professionalism.I even got a cool Honda keychain and Starbucks gift card as a thank you from Honda of Oakland. I highly recommend this dealer and awesome team!

Tommy is the man! Kept me informed on what was needed and not needed during these tough economic times. Did not hassle or pressure me for anything the car may have needed service but at the same time making sure the car was safe to drive and operable. Got me in and out within a day! Highly recommend you asking for Tommy at this service center.

I was at the Honda Oakland to do the service. Very disappointed. They are only trying to rip you off the pocket than providing the actual service. They charged me more than 1000$ for nothing and I had to literally complain and got some money back. I showed them proof and everything. They need to do better. Customer service is too bad.I had bought the car from them years ago. Don t think I would be treated that way. They ve changed so much now.

I recently visited Honda of Oakland with the expectation of finalizing the purchase of a vehicle at a price quoted after multiple communications over the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately, my experience starkly contrasted with these expectations, particularly regarding our agreed-upon purchase terms.We had agreed upon a specific model at a set price point, confirmed in writing before my visit. This agreement was the primary reason for my decision to finalize the purchase at Honda of Oakland. However, upon arrival, I was presented with a completely different vehicle.Entering the salesperson's office, it was hard not to be impressed by the walls, wallpapered with "Salesperson of the Month" plaques for the past 11 years, and a trophy larger than the Vince Lombardi trophy for "Salesperson of 2023." When the salesperson claimed he had quoted me the wrong vehicle price, it raised questions about the integrity of their business practices, especially given the salesperson's highly decorated status. How could such a mistake happen with so many accolades? It was clear then that neither he nor the manager intended to honor their written quote.The financial terms presented at the dealership, after the salesperson went back and forth to the manager several times, were significantly higher than those quoted initially. This discrepancy was not only surprising but deeply disappointing, as I had come prepared to make a purchase based on our agreed terms.Having been leasing cars for over 10 years, I have never felt so taken advantage of and overtly lied to. The next day, I visited Hayward Honda, where not only did they have the vehicle ready as per our discussions, but the numbers presented, including the valuation of my trade-in, matched exactly with their proposal. The process was transparent and straightforward, with no need for haggling to achieve the agreed-upon terms.This stark contrast only highlighted my disappointment with Honda of Oakland. The lack of honesty and the apparent disregard for ethical business practices were alarming. Trust and transparency are paramount in any transaction, especially in the purchase of a vehicle. Despite the salesperson's accolades, my experience was a testament to the contrary.For anyone considering Honda of Oakland for their next vehicle purchase, I would advise caution and recommend exploring other dealerships where agreed-upon terms are respected, and the buying process is conducted with integrity and transparency. The awards may suggest a commitment to excellence, but my experience suggests a significant gap between recognition and reality.

If they say they will have your car back to you in a day, expect them to have it for 3 days. Phone service is terrible too. Someone picked up the phone and completely ignored me, continued talking to someone else. Over the phone I heard a service member read out another customers entire credit card number. Don't expect a call back when they say they will

Service department will try to get you. They told my mother she needed $1,100 in brake pads and rotors. I disagreed so I took the the car down the street to XYZ Motors for a 2nd opinion. They put it up on the lift and said her brakes were fine.They also tried to overcharge her for a warranty tire replacement. Don t trust the service advisors here

I went to Honda of Oakland to have maintenance done on my car, the sales department particularly Vincent was very professional and had some very good energy. He detailed me on the service they had to perform on the car, and the things that was complimentary, he informed me about their financial services they have to help you pay if you could not afford to pay for the full service. 1 out of 10 I will give them a 8.

I went here in January to get a used car I eventually didn t get approved instead of telling me I wasn t approved, finance department which was ran by a lady name Yeraldyn (Yera) kept running my credit without my consent and eventually put 4 hard inquiries on my credit when I called the next day she was so unprofessional calling me babe and sweetheart. I called to speak to her supervisor, even left several messages it s now March and no call back from the financial director. Don t go here they ll put hard inquiries and knock your credit down over 80 points just so you can get approved which isn t worth it.

Do not go through a dealership if you have other options. I was warned to be careful of car salesmen but I had no choice as I didn t have the funds to buy used direct but needed a car for work. I felt manipulated and scammed at every turn. Some folks were kind but many were incompetent. During initial signing after hours of negotiation the employee snuck a hidden fee into my contract. Be on guard especially if you are a woman handling things on your own. Let them know early what you will or won t tolerate. I m so glad to be done with this place forever. There is no need to apologize, no matter what you say i am not recommending anyone come here

I bought a used Honda yesterday after searching the inventory of multiple east bay dealers online.It was a really great experience with Brian and Yera, from the 1st text in response to my inquiry straight through all the not fun stuff, to when I pulled away in my new-to-me CRV that checks all the boxes and makes me very happy!There was no hard-sell, I felt respected and heard, and I would recommend them to anyone.Thank you!!

The service was good and staff very professional. My wait for a tune up was four hours and I even had an appointment. I have been serviced at Honda for over 7 years with each of my cars. Your service wait time is unexceptable.No coffee or snacks I can understand but not the four hour wait for a simple tune up.

I had some difficulties find a sensor for a 2020 Honda Civic but Sal Castellano was extremely helpful, patient, and professional. He really put in a lot of effort assisting me in my most complex situation and was able to resolve it. Thank you so much Sal for your professionalism and extreme help. Brought my car in for repair, the price they charged was higher than other honda dealer. Didn't do a good job replacing the battery, according to the other honda. Called 3+ times, left messages, they never return my call, Couldn't get hold of them. Won't be back.

They were friendly and fast but sold me a mickey mouse service contract that was very difficult to use anywhere but Honda of Oakland. I tried to get routine maintenance at Honda of Freemont and they laughed at me and said they wouldn't accept my maintenance contract. Got a refund on it but they took $500 because it was "in effect" for a year despite the fact that they paid out $0 for maintenance (or anything else) over the life of the contract.

Tommy Jung helped me recently at Honda of Oakland. Tommy worked above and beyond what I expected to get the work done on my car at a price that I could afford and live with. The initial quoted price was much too high for what I was willing to pay for my 2012 Honda civic. Tommy worked tirelessly to get me discounts and eventually we were able to get all the necessary work done but at a cost that I felt better about. I have been taking my Hondas to Honda of Oakland for 40 years. This is the first time a service advisor has worked so hard to help with getting me a more reasonable price. I know he did a lot of work behind the scenes to get this done. It made me feel like a very valued customer.

I haven't bought a vehicle since 1996. I purchased the last Honda in Santa Rosa, and will never again!HONDA OF OAKLAND IS TOP NOTCH! Hocine Secouchi was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I didn't get flooded with email, texts ortons of phone calls. He checked on me and after time, I picked him. I will 100% recommend him and Honda of Oakland. I have never experienced such a high level of integrity and customer-first commitment to resolution of a highly complex situation whereby Honda of Oakland could have easily blamed the manufacturer of the used EV I purchased from them *for stripping the vehicle of its most expensive/significant add-on package after driving it off the lot*.This was Honda of Oakland s first time selling this particular model and my first time purchasing it, so they never suspected that the specs that were on the car (and included in the purchase price) could or would be remotely removed once the manufacturer got wind of a transfer of ownership. However, HoO assured me from the outset that they would explore every solution possible to make sure that, at the end of the day, I would get to have the car we both thought I had purchased from them.After trying to resolve through the manufacturer to no avail, the dealership ultimately still made things right at no small cost to Honda of Oakland in a manner that could not have shown more integrity, accountability, and responsibility to their customer. From the initial purchasing process to even making my way through the shock of the largest car purchase I d yet made gone Awry, the salesman all the way up to the regional manager made me feel like I was in capable hands that refused to let me down. And they never did. Car dealerships tend to have sort of a reputation for being kind of money-focused rather than customer oriented My experience with Honda of Oakland has me wondering if this is simply a myth, or if this is truly just an exceptionally trustworthy and sincere business that runs itself at elevated standards. (I have a strong feeling it is the latter.)I would recommend this place to *anyone* seeking a reliable vehicle and an above and beyond sales experience. Though I didn t even purchase a Honda from them, I consider myself part of the Honda family fleet for life after this!

Lots of effort to get me to make an appointment. Receptionist was okay. Very pricey. Spent over $800, no car cleaning inside. Check out was as if I had charged the shop.

I bought a car there on Friday 9/29. Had a great experience with salesman and staff. However, today I went to get an oil change as a precaution and they showed me the dipstick completely dry and no oil in the car. I was told at the dealership that the car is inspected but clearly not the case. Very disappointing.

Thanks to the efforts of Hocine Sekouchi and Luke Saechao, Honda was able to locate and secure a replacement mirror for the passenger side rear-view mirror in my Honda CRV. This part was installed last week and now, after 3 mo, the vehicle can be used without the loss of the mirror. My only concern, it that when I first approached Honda Service in late August, I was told that the mirror was on back order, but when I called multiple times I could never reach anyone in the Service Department to find out the status of the order.

I and my wife recently bought Honda pilot at Honda Oakland ca. I really appreciated the way sales people and Finance Manager really care about the customers needs. They know how to do business, whenever not satisfied, they do their best to find convenient alternative. You deserve 5 stars! Keep it up.
