My parents have been using Aurelio to service their vehicles since the 70's. I work in the auto industry and no one compares. He is friendly, punctual and most importantly, HONEST! Honest in recommendations, honest in pricing. Good, reliable work. My parents are older and drive foreign vehicles so people like to take advantage, but not Aurelio. He has also replaced a wheel and tire on my own car for a fraction of other shop's quotes. I'd give 10 stars if I could!

Got blown up tire and stopped by Gomes tire the other day. Manager was extremely helpful to immediately found me a replacement tire. Loved his approach with solution oriented mindset. Very cost efficient and clean-cut professional fast work! Highly recommending this business.

I have been a years long customer of Gomes Tires. Faithfully buying my tires from him. Recently I let him do my brakes. He did not let me know I needed rotators! I have not been to a brake shop that did not do this in the past. In fairness to this establishment, when I brought my car back and he checked why my wheels were shaking, said I needed rotators and he did it free. I am still upset that he did not catch that in the beginning.

One of Oakland's infamous potholes did a number on my long-suffering Prius's right front tire. I wasn't sure how much more wear the other tires had left in them, but not only did the folks at Gomes assure me they were in great shape, they tried to repair the busted tire. It was beyond salvaging, but the replacement they sold me was very reasonably priced compared to what my friends have paid at other places.As a young woman who doesn't know a ton about cars, I usually feel a little trepidation asking advice from mechanics at the point of service because I *know* I would be so easy to upsell to. Gomes Tire and Services Center lived up to their great reputation and I came away feeling confident that I got exactly what I needed. I was also in and out in under 15 minutes. I will definitely be coming here again if (when) another pothole strikes!

Came for a flat tire and they started to work on it immediately. Charge was fair. Very nice friendly staff. I was impressed on how well equipped and organized they are. Show room, waiting lounge, restroom impeccable. They are at the same level of the other big name guys and I'll be coming here for service in the future. They offer more than just tires. Highly recommend.

They weren't busy brought me straight in and repaired my tire fast, I appreciate there fast honest work! They even checked my brakes and tire pressure on all 4 tires, they are awesome!

Had a flat in the morning. Saw this place was open at 7am. Gomes saw the issue as I was driving in. His employee noticed my other tire was going to go soon too. Got two used tires for a very reasonable price. Got in and out about 20 min.

Quick and affordable. It is nice that I can drive up, drop the car off, and come back when it is done. Though I recommend trying to drop the car off as early as possible.Also appreciate the fact that the mechanicals don't try to upsell you. They will give you their professional opinion, but if you need to go the less expensive they listen and respond to the customer's need.

This is an HONEST business. The people there are courteous and professional. I normally go to Costco for my tires but I couldn't wait 2 weeks for an appointment. Yesterday (12/15/22) I went in to get a puncture repaired ($35). It was crowded with customers but it took about 20 minutes. The Costco folks move at an absolutely glacial pace compared to the pros at Gomes Tires. Today (12/16/22) I went again to get two used tires (nearly new for $75 each, with installation and all) for my other car. It took less than 30 min. I think I've had longer waits (before any work was done) at Costco even with an appointment. Gomes Tires is an absolute East Bay gem. Thank you!!

So glad I found Gomes! I had two broken tie rods, a flat and needed alignment repair after an accident, and Gomes got me up and running within 24 hours! My AAA tow truck driver recommended them and I could not be a happier customer. Very fairly priced and excellent communication and service.

I went in yesterday to get four new tires for my car. Only $300 and they fix flats for free. They also balance and rotate your tires after 5000 miles or twice a year.

I hate to make this place any busier, but they're truly incredible. I've gone in thinking my brakes and belts definitely needed to be changed, and they kindly corrected me then fixed the real (and much cheaper) issue. They're fast, friendly, and affordable. Truly a win-win-win place to go.

This morning, I had a totally blown, shredded rear passenger tire with rim exposed and damaged. The AAA tow driver recommended Gomes Tires. I checked their reviews online and called to let them know my tire problem and Mr. Gomes said come on in. Today, AAA towed me and my car in to the shop at 8:10am. I told Mr. Gomes what I needed. He looked at all my tires and made suggestions. I got exactly what I needed, 2 new tires and one new rim, plus balancing for $375 total and I was out on the road by 8:45 am. I plan on going back next week to get two more new tires. I am thoroughly pleased with the work and service of Gomes Tire & Service Center. I will recommend Gomes to others and continue to do my tire business with them in the future.

Been going here for years and the Service is SPECTACULAR! Mr. Gomes is ALWAYS Pleasant, professional, accommodating fast, trustworthy and fairly priced. As a FEMALE you are made to feel as ease that you ARE NOT being taken advantage of. A BIG PLUS for me! It's why he has remained in Business for so long! Since around the early 80's. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

I like the owner and the place is clean and welcoming for a garage. They work quickly.But it's the result that matters most. I brought two cars to have the brakes replaced. Different makes and models. BOTH vehicles squeal when I apply the brakes. Front tires. I didn't fully notice at first due to limited driving during pandemic, but it's become super loud and annoying.No, I would not recommend this place for brakes.

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I'd be rolling out two new tires in ten minutes flat. Incredible prices. And you know, I mentioned it to my friend, he said he was also saved last minute at Gomes tire. So there's a reputation.Amazing. Thank you again.

I went there for first time thur oct 6, 2022 , I was impressed by the person I spoke with , either the owner or mgr , spoke great English . I was so impressed I did not go to Costco later that day . I bought 4 copper tires which he suggested , as well as the Mich I had planned to by .. jeeze they not only installed my tires but cleaned my filthy hub caps no company , including the dealer , Hyundai , ever clean my hub caps . Fantastic. Our van got a nail in the tire during our road trip, we found this shop and they patched it in 15 minutes for $45. Amazing service and prices. Super impressed also because previous tire shops have damaged the TPM sensor when changing tires and this shop did the job perfectly!

Refreshing to come across such a honest, efficient, and reliable tire shop, with no frills, no hassles, in-and-out, timely service. Love this place! Found it on Yelp and all the 5 star ratings are spot on.First, they don t just do tires. They do oil-change, brakes, suspension, etc.Second, they are straight-talking (read: no fluff, no hard sells, no bs, just what should be fixed and when and why), as quick as they need to be while still doing quality work, and they treat women well.Next, the owner is in the trenches with all his staff on the floor, and his daughter is super knowledgeable and is probably the reason I see so many female clients in the waiting room.Fantastic gem in East Oakland!

I usually come here for my tire needs. The owner and staff are friendly. I live in fruitvale, but tend to all my business in Alameda, but happy to finally find a good family owned business in these parts of Oakland.

It's like someone in your family owns the most friendly, knowledgeable and trustworthy repair shop. It's almost a joy giving my money to them. I wouldn't hesitate a second in recommending Gomes for any car issues you have.
