I had my car sent here as recommended by my insurance company after my catalytic converter was stolen. It took about a week for the repair. They communicated about everything except method of payment. I only found out when I picked up my car that they charge 2.5% to use a credit card. After having to occur unexpected expenses because of the theft of the converter I got hit again on the way out. So be aware they except ATM cards, money order or cashier checks.

They took a lot of time to repair my car. They texted me most of the time to get updated. But nothing happened. They took more the 96 days to finished the job. personal opinion. I won't recommend them..

Nick C, and the whole G&C Auto Body Crew was amazing, professional. I want to thank Nick for handling the situation between the other party insurance because I know personally they were extremely hard to get a hold of. Everything was nice and they even clean the in side and out side of the car! Thanks guys

Seems like they are REALLY over booked. The people inside were trying their best and did a great job with their repair in the most cordial way. That being said, they cancelled my car's tow that THEY themselves recommended a half hour after the towing appointment. Additionally they took over a month for what was seemingly MAYBE a week repair. Although it was smoothed out when getting my vehicle, they told me 3 separate times that my car would be ready on a specific day and each time did not answer calls / did not reach out. Perhaps the management needs to step up to support the wonderful team at the Oakland location. I'm happy with the work, but in all honesty felt completely trapped in my choice to get my car repaired here.

My insurance sent me here when my catalytic converter was stolen. Everyone I interacted with was super nice and professional and the repairs were done quickly. They even did a minor repair on my bumper for free several weeks after I got my car back! Nothing related to my insurance claim - just super nice and helpful people. Overall, it was a way better experience than I expected. Many thanks to Jason and the rest of the team.

I want to sincerely thank Jason for his help throughout the entire time he had my car. He was honest and very professional while trying to help knowing that the problem was out of his hands. The flexibility and ethics of each one seem to me that they make a good match to have excellent customer service. Don't look at another auto shop, just go here, you will not be disappointed. I was visiting Oakland briefly while en route moving with all I owned in my car. I had my catalytic converter stolen off my car the day I was leaving Oakland while still needing to drive 6 hours and move in to my new place to start a new job the next day. I was horrified and so stressed but the staff at G & C were so accommodating, reassuring and beyond helpful. They helped with a rental, made me feel safe about all of my belongings in my car, even watched my dog while I picked up my rental. They worked so hard to make sure the parts for my car got to the shop in time for me to be able to get to my new job on time. Several of the workers stayed late to reassure their guarantee and to get me safely on my way. I feel SO grateful and supported during such a stressful situation. They kept me in the loop by giving me updates with the parts and how long the repair was taking with calls periodically. The team at this facility is top notch, Jeremy, Josh and Christian really made it all happen and the repair by the mechanic was excellent work. I never write reviews and they completely deserved my time because they helped me tremendously and I am so appreciative! I cannot stress enough the excellent customer service, empathy and wonderful quality repair work conducted. They made me feel like a priority and treated me with great respect and not just like another customer for $$. I received great service at G and C auto body for my car which the front bumper had fallen off of. Jason Carrillo helped us pick out the parts we needed and the team ensured that it would stay on despite damage to the body of the car. Sean at G&C was awesome and made a great impression for the entire business. I stopped in without an appointment for a minor issue from a fender bender. Sean explained the process for a proper repair but also told me that he wouldn t go to those lengths for his own vehicle. Instead he helped me with a quick buff on his own time and sent me on my way. What kind integrity! I ll definitely come back here to work with honest businesspeople the next time I need body work.

If you want a part time job trying to figure out what is actually wrong with your car and when it will be done this is the spot!!! They told me repairs would take 11 days. It has been 6 weeks. They told me to pick my car up twice when it wasn't actually done. I even showed up at the shop for them to tell me it wasn't even there! Nobody even bothered to call and tell me. They have zero respect for your time and don t communicate anything regarding your car.

G&C auto body is 1/2 block from my house and I've never had to use their services. Out of curiosity, I drove there today to see how much they would charge me to repair the right and left front fender "seams" of my 2010 Toyota. I met Sean, the gen. mgr, who came right over and instantly perceived the issue. Shortly after, he asked one of the mechanics to fix the problem using screws and ties on both sides (forgive my auto jargon, I am no mechanic!) and I was out of there in less than 20 minutes. The best part was receiving a hug from Sean and he didn't charge me anything because he said they take care of their neighborhood neighbors!!. I must add, the shop was packed with vehicles, and he told me this neighborhood has been good to G&C and they like to pass it forward when they can. Thank you Sean and G&C! Needed a new bumper and this was the easiest, best outcome I could have hoped for given the circumstances. Turnaround time was less than 24 hours from drop off (after parts had come in which only took about a week). Tim was communicative and helpful throughout. Car looks brand new - this place is quality.

I've used G&C Auto Body twice recently and they did an excellent job at fixing my car so quickly! They are very responsive, work fast, and are incredibly flexible. Lastly, their staff is very friendly and communicative. I was struck on the freeway and it took out my left front end, didnt even see it coming. Geico recommended G&C Auto Body for damage repair and I'm so grateful they did. Sean assisted me the entire time and made me feel rest assured that my brand new car ( yes brand new car dang it!) was in good hands. Well it certainly was. G&C made my car look brand new after I experienced an unfortunate side swipe. The door shell and rims look brand new just like I bought it from the dealership. The work was done in 3 days! Amazing! They even vacuumed and washed my car. They also picked up my rental and dropped off my car at my job. This place deserves 10 stars! Thanks G&C!Service: Body & Trim

Fantastic service! I tore out a fender liner running over a curb .bought the replacement part but decided it was beyond my skills to install it. Called Sean, the manager, and arranged to bring the car in for them to look at. Arrived at 8am and by 9:15 was heading home with the repair done They have earned my business next time I need a body shop.Service: Body & Trim

G & C is in my neighborhood, so I went to them for a quote to repair a broken door handle (very botched attempted theft). The price was fair, but more importantly, Christian was incredibly helpful. He was warm and friendly and made a lot of additional effort to try to locate a used part to keep my cost down. The door works smoothly, and I really appreciate the level of service offered here.

Great work . Long wait time to get your car fixed, went from one week to two weeks and one more day. Called day before I came they said car was ready morning went to pick it up but it wasn't ready

I'm very impressed and happy with the work Sean and G&C did for me. They were able to get me in very quick, with an incredibly fast turnaround time, and charged a very fair price. Would highly recommend this place to my peeps. They took care of my car in a timely manner. Excellent customer service, they kept me updated throughout the process and answer any question i had along the way. Car looks brand new and they gave it a nice wash before they handed me the keys. My driver side mirror was ripped off by a passing truck while it was parked on the side of the road. Sean from G&C Auto Body in Oakland took care of everything despite numerous staffing and supply chain challenges at G&C thanks to COVID (this was during the Omicron surge--eek!). These issues were obviously not the shop's fault, but Sean kept a positive attitude throughout and expertly navigated the situation with utmost professionalism and composure. I walked away with a mirror (original factory parts, not some yucky refurb) that was good as new and with no out of pocket costs because, bonus, Sean took all of the hassle out of dealing with the other driver's insurance, too. Several weeks ago, someone crashed into my car. I looked for different shops online to schedule an appointment to get an estimate to get it fixed. Almost every shop I called was booked out at least two weeks (just to get an estimate,) some, even longer. (It's already a stressful situation having a damaged car, but the delay just added to that stress.) Since G & C was near me, and everyone was scheduling out weeks ahead, I decided to schedule an appointment to get an estimate from G & C Autobody. The woman I spoke to confirmed an appointment for today at 9am.I show up for my appointment and they said that I wasnt on their estimate list and that they couldnt help me.Maybe they forgot to write my appointment down, or something came up, I dont know. I just know I waited two weeks to get this appointment and they werent able to help me.

I thought I found a good auto repair & body shop in my neighborhood, but when I showed up for my appointment - there was no appointment in their system - and I was denied service or wait until next month! Oh, and the manager was sorry, too. They recognized that I called to make the appointment, but apparently the person on the phone didn't record it or there was another step to confirm the appointment which I was not told about.Very frustrating and a waste time. MAKE SURE YOU CONFIRM YOUR APPPOINTMENT!
