Sohail was my sales representative and he was very considerate and transparent when it came to the process and making sure that I would leave with the best deal. It seemed more like a relationship than a transaction and that felt very reassuring when purchasing a vehicle!! Thank you so much!!Abdul was our financial manager and he was absolutely amazing!! I purchased a vehicle today which was pretty easy. Terry helped me with all the questions and concerns I had. He also was very patient and assisted me with the whole purchase process. Abdul who is the finance manager was very helpful and gave me a fair offer.

I came to Downtown Toyota/Subaru of Oakland on a Sunday and it was busy so I waited a little while for help but then I was assisted by Terry- he showed me the car I found online, 2023 Subaru Outback and we took the car for a test drive. The car price was what they call a pure price so essentially there was not a possibility to negotiate a lower price but when I inquired if paying for the vehicle without financing would allow for a discount, his reply came across as sarcastic and condescending and with that I left. I called the dealership once home and Tory, the receptionist, was very polite and had the sales manager Mark contact me shortly after. Mark did have the same reply for me as Terry but with a completely different attitude: with an understanding and helpful tone, as a result, I decided to move forward with the purchase of the vehicle and returned the next day, Monday which I would highly recommend over visiting a dealership on the weekend. Anyway, I met Mark and he left me in good hands- Raj is a sales associate and he showed me the vehicle again as well as let me look at a couple other vehicles I was considering. Raj was pleasant, conversant and friendly, even giving me feedback between the two cars I was considering. I was glad I came back to give this dealership another chance. Abdul was the finance manager that set up my payment and the interaction with him was also excellent! Between Mark, Raj and Abdul this place has a winning team. Thank you all for the service recovery effort, it paid off and as a bonus I also have a beautiful new vehicle for the first time in 25 years!

My fianc� and I just had the best experience buying our family car from this dealership. We set up our appointment online the day prior and our car salesman Sahail had the car waiting out front for us when we arrived. He made the process seamless. We test drove the car, felt no pressure and had our questions answered. Abdul handled the financing and answered all of our questions! He was kind and authentic so nice to work with. My first time financing a car and I had many many questions. This whole process was great and I am so happy with my purchase!

Long time customer, bought my first car here over 10 years ago and now buying another. Great customer service. They go the extra mile to make sure you get the car you want and the best price. I don t like to write reviews but my vehicle purchase today at Downtown Subaru of Oakland warrants one. Terry assisted me and made my experience so easy and much more fun than any other vehicle purchase I have completed. From the moment I shook Terry s hand he was helpful and conscientious. He was not bothered by my many questions and was courteous in response. He made me comfortable in determining what I wanted and did not pressure me. Terry found the car that fit my needs and wants, a new Outback Onyx XT, and made the transaction as seamless and efficient as possible. I cannot recommend his services enough since it was the nicest vehicle purchase experience I have been a part of. Thank you Terry!

I had a salesperson by the name of Derek this morning and all went very well. He showed me the car that I was interested in. I took it for a test drive. And everything worked out. Derick was very nice, when helping me out with the purchase he ran me through all the details of the vehicle in a very easy way to understand. As well as showed me around the car telling me all the features. I'll definitely tell friends and family about the dealership and to ask for him.

Quincy was fantastic. He was able to get us into the corolla that we wanted for the price we were looking for. We tried buying the same car from fairfield toyota and they tried charging us 2k more. We were happy with the service and appreciate Quincy's service. Brandon in finance was also fantastic!

Terry is the salesman who helped us buy a new Subaru Forester last week. He was friendly, relaxed and knowledgeable. I had been to 4 different dealerships looking for a new car. Finally I ran into a salesman named Quincy at Downtown Subaru. What a great experience. I never felt rushed or pressured. I left feeling like I got the exact car I wanted for a price that I can live with. A+ I will be sending all of my family and friends his way when it comes time to make another car purchase.

As soon as I learned my break/tail lights were out, I went to the dealership as a matter of convenience, in an attempt to avoid delays with ordering parts, etc. I requested to have the mechanic change my oil and rotate my tires while there. I was told all fluids would be topped off as part of the oil change service. After several hours, I was given the following summary: "all 4 brake lamps in rear of vehicle in op due to wiring harness rusting out...P&A generated for both lamp housings and trunk housing including bulbs and harness for trunk hatch. Cost for repair $1,816.53." I trusted the technician when he told me they attempted to replace the bulbs but they were rusted shut into their sockets. Because I couldn't afford to pay $2k that day to replace the entire electrical system including the trunk hatch which was operating fine they stated that my car was unsafe to operate and I needed to tow it off the lot. I decided to look into changing the lights myself. After consulting the car's manual for 2 minutes, I realized I was more than capable. I bought all bulbs from an auto parts shop ($15 total) and managed to change every one of them. Granted, one socket contained a fair amount of rust, but with a little pressure and the appropriate tools, I was able to remove the burnt out bulb. I applied an over-the-counter anti-rusting substance ($1.79) for good measure. There is absolutely no reason a few broken bulbs warranted a complete overhaul of the system and rendered my car useless. The least they could have done was replace the bulbs in the sockets that were so easy to remove and contained absolutely no rust (pictured). I was charged $235 for the lights evaluation alone. To add insult to injury, they didn't even fill up my wiper fluid! All-in-all I paid $368.99 essentially for an oil change (that they didn t even meet their promises on) and tire rotation. Can't help but feel like this happened because I m a woman.

Quincy and Shafi are excellent salesman. They got me what I wanted to pay for the car without any extra add ons and been straight forward. Process was quick and simple. I would recommend them if you ever need to purchase a vehicle here. Abdula from financing was respectful and offered me a great deal on the maintenance program package and gave me a discount which was greatly appreciated.

I dont usually write reviews but I needed to let other shoppers know how great of a job they're doing over at Oakland Subaru. Brandon told us he was new but we couldn't tell because he was very knowledgeable of their inventory and mutually helpful explaining which car and financial options fit our needs. Most importantly we felt reassured, constantly informed( my girlfriend ask a lot of questions) and at no point did we feel that anxious pressure you usually get from dealerships. It felt natural and we connected more with Brandon, like he was working with us not working to get over on us!Highly recommend!!... will be sending all my friends and family back to this dealership!
