Good mechanics and prices are reasonable. I have known him for around 10 years, and he is a good man. And great mechanic. I went back to day Feb 27, 2024, and he faster find the car problem. He again charged me with a good price. Tham others. $210 less than another place.

Cheap, simple, trustworthy. This garage's focus isn't your money, but the fact that they are able to complete their work and learn from them. "Satisfied or reimbursed" I've always been satisfied to go there and decided to make them my main auto repair as they provided every service I ever needed so far and for a fair price without complications.

The best! I thought my car needed a new fuel pump, but they found out that wasn't the problem at all. It was a fuel module! They ordered it for me, and put it on ASAP!! they are very reasonable, good, and fast. The best of the bay! Hands down!!!

I decided to give BT auto repair a shot since I read a lot of good reviews. I needed to check the compression on my 97 Honda CRV since it wasn't running to well. I gave him a call to ask for a price estimate, he said $50.00 which I thought was a pretty good price. Since he was going to take off the spark plugs to do the compression test I asked him if brought my own spark plugs will he be able to install them and he said yes for an extra $15.00 I was pleased with this price.When I got to the shop I greeted him and told him I was there so he can check the compression on my vehicle. He responded by saying I don't have time today even though he had already told me to bring my car in. He saw that I was displeased and changed his mind and said he'll do it in 15 minutes because he was just finishing up on another costumers vehicle.After he was done he started working on my car right away. He did the compression check and installed the new spark plugs and when he was finished all he said was "ok finished" and handed me the spark plug box that I brought with some numbers written on it which was the compression of each cylinder. He didn't explain to me what it was or if the compression was good or bad, he didn't tell me what was the condition of my old spark plugs or anything. So I started asking him questions about what options I had to make my car run better and he was being really short and not too helpful. I decided to pay him and keep it pushing and go to another shop that can give me more information about my vehicle.

John is indeed an honest man, he allowed me to gather parts for my 2001 honda accord v6. Which was in terrible need of a timing belt and waterpump change. Due to my personal expertise in cars. I wasn't charged a diagnostic or inspection fee. I heard that most shops will just look at it and charge a whopping 80 dollar fee. John charged me 300 dollars for labor I felt this is a good deal. I was able to drop the vehicle off at 0900 hours on May 27th 2016. I received a call from John and it was completed at 1500 hours the same day. Which I felt was amazing. I would recommend bt auto for labor intensive jobs.

I have been a customer of BT Auto (Oakland) for more than ten years. John is an honest honorable man. I tell all my family and friends about him, and I even tell strangers. I mean really, if I see someone having car trouble, I stop and give them Johns number and address to his shop! That should tell you something!
