I drove my car 2,000 plus miles from Minnesota in two days. I turned it off and when I tried turning it on it wouldn t start. I read so many reviews from different auto mechanic shops nearby and I decided to choose Bay Area Auto Repair because it had good reviews. The one thing I was worried was that they would tell me I had multiple things to fix and dishonesty. But Danny, the owner, was quick with telling me it was just the battery that needed to be replaced and didn t oversell me anything else. He even showed me the diagnostic tool he used to verify it was the battery that needed replacement. They ordered the battery that my Kia 2013 needed. I left my car with him at 1pm and by 5:30, the same day, the job was done! I only paid $170 for everything. Overall, I had a good experience and will come back again in the future for my auto mechanic needs.

I have been coming here for over 10 years. Great prices, Danny gives me a heads up of what I will need to do to maintain my car in the next year so it doesn't come as a shock to me when, say, I need to replace my brake pads. I ve been coming to this auto shop for the last 3 years and have always received excellent service on my Subaru Outback, without fail. The owner Danny has always made time for me, even when he had a lot on his plate, and consistently charged very good prices. Even when I lived in Reno, I would get my car serviced here whenever I visited the Bay as the service and prices were so good. If you re looking for a great mechanic, this place is for you.

Danny replaced the clutch and flywheel on my Chevy Prizm. He was very informative and honest; the work was done quickly and well. The price was fair considering he also replaced the seal and transmission oil. As a bonus, my car was also washed and cleaned inside and out. Danny is the only mechanic I would bring my cars to. I'm not the only one who feels this way, since he's usually super busy. He'll show you the parts he's taken out and usually your final bill is going to be less than what he initially quoted. If you're not in a huge rush, he's who you want to call. An honest shop in an industry plagued by a reputation for swindlers.

As others have noted this is an honest, upfront business. They do a good job at a reasonable rate. The owner, Danny, explained everything to me, showed me the broken parts I'd authorized fixed and cleaned out my car! His explanations were thorough with no ego; he also showed me how to avoid the problem in the future. I highly recommend this excellent local business!!

Excellent service and speed at a very reasonable price. I took my car to the shop in the morning with front brake issues, by the end of the day the problem was fixed, and cost less than I expected going in. Danny even took the time to clean the matching components in the rear of the vehicle and gave my car a quick wash. Will definitely be going back for future fixes.

I have been going to Danny before I can drive. It's been more than 22 years that my family have been going to him. He is honest, fair pricing (I assure you that you are getting the lowest price for the best skills. Trust me, I have asked around. He is NOT in it for the money), and very very quick turn around. Go see Danny! (Yes Danny, I know that my oil is way over the mileage. See you soon.)

We brought our 03 Toyota Corolla in right before they closed because it wouldn't start (needed a new starter). By noon the next day it was fixed and as a bonus they charged us less than any of the other places we got a quote from. They were super helpful, responsive and did a great job!
