First, let me say that we could've easily been swindled and taken complete advantage of, due to our timeframe and predicament. We were headed home to meet our children coming home from school after picking up our camper for other repairs. We were in between San Diego and South Lake Tahoe, CA. We didn't know anyone in the area for repairs. We saw that our power steering fluid was low and were making our way to Oakhurst to fill up at Auto Zone. Unfortunately, our power steering failed between Bass Lake and Oakhurst where we had to make an emergency stop and wait for a tow.While waiting for a tow, we did a quick research for a reputable shop. Most shops were "booked three weeks out" or unable to give us time to address the situation. Lee was actually referred to us by another shop, and he didn't promise anything more than to look at the issue, take time to diagnose, then see if he could give a more realistic timeframe. We liked that forthcoming honesty.We arrived while Lee was at lunch and setup in his parking lot. He didn't have us waiting too long before he came over and looked closer. He had hoped it was just a belt, but the first look revealed otherwise. So, he said he'd have his tech (Ramsey) take a deeper look. We watched for a bit as Ramsey assessed the situation closer. The power steering pump wasn't holding fluid. So, he worked diligently to find the source of the leak. We eventually gave him time while we headed to Southgate Brewing for lunch and to evaluate our options.About the time we finished our lunch, we received a text that our truck was done. We walked back over and everything was tidied up pretty well, as well as locked and secured. Lee informed us that we may need a pressure wash to really clean up the fluid spill. But, it was ready for the twisty drive home.What can we really say? Our expectations were greatly exceeded. We had already accepted that we may be leaving our vehicle and renting a car to get home quickly. But, we were able to get back home with less than a half day delay. Thank you, Lee. You've got an amazing crew and we'll happily provide a quality reference for anyone looking for a repair shop around Yosemite amd Oakhurst.Also, thank you to Scotty with the towing company. I was very shocked to receive the service we did after reading all the good reviews. Something was wrong with my husbands truck and we called the mechanic at lees. His name was shawn. Shawn came to our house and put 4 new cats that we just bought on our truck for us. He rearranged the exhaust pipe and now it covers the oil draining bolt so we cant do oil changes. He had us tow it to the shop. After a diagnosis we were told it needed a new head and it would be 2500 all together. Awesome sweet deal. Its there for a week and we are called by our coworkers that theyve seen our truck driving out to ahwahnee out to bass lake. Whatever We figured it was to test it or something. We call they said it will be done in a few days. When we get there we are told its 4500. Whatever we pay it. We drive the truck home and now it doesnt drive. It starts but doesnt drive. So we had to take it to another mechanic. They dont know what lee s did and when we asked shawn he says he doesnt know what his boss did to the truck. Its been 3 years and it just sits in our driveway.

We were headed to Yosemite on New years day and our altinator seemed to be not charging correctly. I had tried to call 3-4 other places in town and no one answered. I was told to give Lee a call. He answered and was able to check out the vehicle within 20 minutes. Great service. I would highly recommend giving Lee your pantronage.

I drove over a ramp and my rental car s back left wheel was stuck in sand. After using a car jack to move the car, I was very concerned to see that the ABS light and the engine light were both on (and a couple of driving assist systems were impaired as well). Lees was the only shop that was open on this Saturday (or in his own words, he s the only one answering phones because people need to get home). He helped us inspect the vehicle and checked the engine light. We were then confident enough to continue to drive the vehicle and return to the city. Thanks Lee! You really saved us when we were in need.

I believe I was divinely led to this mechanic. I experienced a heater hose blowout after driving up to the goat meadow trailhead and Snow Play parking lot. I had AAA and had my truck towed there. I have been on the road 3 years now as a single woman traveler and I must say it's pretty sketchy out there. Not only did he fix the hose he also found that I was traveling with no air filter as when I had my oil changed back in Louisiana they did not put the new one in. Not only that he checked all my fluids.... Can I tell you back in Florida I had my power steering hose replaced $200 however they did not put power steering fluid in it and did not tell me. From the bottom of my heart I thank this garage for their integrity, honesty and thoroughness. I want to add that they're calm laid back demeanor gave me strength when I needed it. Oh I also want to add that I thought this would take days or even a whole day I just can't believe how quickly they got me back on the road safely... This garage is a rare breed and I highly recommend them. I wish I could give them five stars and a moon. I have a collection of business cards that I have thumbtacked to my ceiling in my camper... Not many I might add get this spot of Honor in my little world. This one is going right in the middle boy I wish they could travel with me... Lee had my car towed to his shop and the transmission quit driving so I asked the dealership as it been 3 weeks and they said they would replace it or fix it for free. I went and told Lee in January shortly after he towed it less than a week. He said the transmission was being repaired and would be delivered tomorrow. So after months and lies he finally had the outside mechanic rebuild it the beginning of April and I got it April 7th with a bill of $3,900 which I'd never agreed to and had a hard time paying. Very disappointed with the lies and the time it took to complete.Service: Transmission

Had a fantastic experience with Lee. Our car broke down near Oakhurst on a Saturday so finding a mechanic was near impossible. The only guy who our tow thought might be opened was Lee. And lo and behold he was! After two days our car was good as new and we were off. Thanks a lot Lee!
