We were greatly pleased to discover Novato Auto Service. We have been back a few times since our first visit. Prices are fair, workmanship and staff excellent. If you have a woman in your life that is scared to trust someone. Send them here. They take care of you. Not advantage of you.

Super happy with my service! My key got stuck in the ignition and I was calling around to see who could take my car in. They were able to fit me in early and a couple hours later my car was ready. They also fixed my car door and now I can fully open it.

This shop was excellent! I was able to drop my car off Sunday night, they checked and did everything I asked. I got a text with link to a quote of the work they were suggesting and I was easily able to approve it. They were timely and professional. I will definitely take this car back and other cars to them! Special thanks to Scott, who talked me through the issues I was having and listened intently to my description. Novato Auto Services is the most honest and professional auto service business that I have experienced. I take both my Toyota 4Runner and Class C RV to Scott Kaplan, Owner. Novato Auto Service saved the day and my 2008 Suburban! Another repair facility could not or would not repair my vehicle. After waiting for weeks for help from the loser repair shop I talked to Scott at Novato Auto Service. He listened to me and was confident he could help. I had my car towed over and within a day Scott diagnosed the problem, gave me a quote, and set about getting my vehicle on the road. He replaced the transmission, was communicative along the way, and offered a warranty that gave me piece of mind! Scott and his team were first rate mechanics not afraid of to dig in and help keep my valuable vehicle in tip top shape. Scott, Wife, and Son are a great family business who listens to their customers car issues, repairs them in a timely manner, are polite and fair. Scott takes a lot of pride in his work and is a great Car Mechanic along with his son with many years of experience. We were extremely happy we went to Novato Auto Service. As always, Novato Auto dealt with issues of my 2001 Dodge, Dakota, in a timely, professional manner. Well, the mileage on my beloved 2003 F150 archaeology buggy--which has done 16 deserts, 12 mountains, two volcanoes and one caldera from hell--was down to 8 miles per gallon. The tail pipe emitted a "perfume vapor" approaching the vile exhaust an aging smelting factory. On idle, she did an admirable rockabilly shake, rattle, and roll. If you find you have a lurching disaster like this one--complete with eternal-flame engine light--Scott is the mechanic you need. I say "look no further" with absolute confidence that you be happy with the service, the price, and the spectacular shamanic healing he will do on your vehicle. And you will be asking the divine powers to shower stardust on my pointed little nerd head for sending you in his direction. He is, frankly, very, very, very smart and impeccably fair. Ease on the down the road, friend.

I had used Novato Auto Service many years ago but have not used him for a while.The car wouldn't start.and Scott checked the usual suspects and when they proved not to be the cause he he found that there was some corroded wires were the cause. Price and timeliness of repairs was more than acceptable.I'm going to use them for all my auto repairs from now on.Service: Electrical

I recently went to this Auto Service and was helped by one of their mechanics Scott and within an hour was able to help me with the initial issue I had with my tires. Due to my car being older I am often hesitant in getting additional repairs or modifications however this time I was assured that with a few repairs to my car it would be running so much smoother and this is without a doubt the best mechanic care my car has received in the past 5+ years. After having Scott check my car out it runs better than I've ever had it running and even budget was was much less than what I was expecting to pay.5/5 I will absolutely be coming back and recommending others to this Auto Service.Aside from that their reception room accommodates a few people at a time and in it are posted their general prices for their work as well as visual examples of the variety of oil change they do. This location is across from a fire station and there is plenty of parking in their lot.
