I didn't have the most satisfying experience in my work with Hamilton's Automotive. I had to get an IID installed in my Tesla and they're one of the only shops which can do it locally in the Bay Area.The cost of the install seemed to feel like they re taking advantage of the customer and charging a rate for labor that s otherwise at a premium. The cost of the removal seems to be the same.When I had issues arise, I not only had to bring it in, I was charged for a "calibration". When I described that I did follow the instructions to use it and it was giving me a "Violation" they seemed to think that there must be something wrong with how I was using the device since they did 4 other Teslas with this device and only one person else had an issue...That said, I've got it installed elsewhere and have had ZERO issues since. So, perhaps instead it clearly was an issue with their install job OR the device but NOT me as their customer. They sadly seemed to lack this understanding and tact of treating customers with more understanding, so I notably won't be back and would encourage others to look elsewhere.Moral of the story; I don t think that they re complete crooks. Rather, opportunistically they as an install shop of these devices and the IID company have a convenient thing of each of them pointing the finger at the other and saying please deal with them/it s their pricing, etc. At the end of the day I know this much, not once was I not charged for something though I clearly had stated that the device and technology in use of a Tesla wasn t working properly. In a little over a month I paid Hamiltons about $900 for not that much time and labor and not a single piece of equipment (ie a part that ever stayed with my car such as a repair, etc). Relatively speaking, I think that the costs were unreasonable for the labor provided and because the IID is something where you re required to get one they feel it appropriate to take greater advantage of these customers as compared to someone with greater choices as a consumer.

Took a car to get a ball joint replacement here and a wheel alignment, worst service ever. A man drove the car in circles for 20 minutes and didn t notice the wheel was not straight. I had no time to double check the service, but I left trusting that the wheel was left the way it was. The steering wheel ended up crooked, to go straight the wheel had to be turned left when it should be in the middle. I have absolutely zero time to take the car for service since I rely on it to go back and forth between jobs and errands. I took it back 1 month later only to find out we had a 2 week period to drive the car and see how it ran before we d have to be charged again for an extra repair with NO notice. Nobody mentioned anything about the 2 week period. Do not go here if you want your car to be messed up and then charged extra for a fault THEY made. Absolutely crazy that I have to pay $40 extra for a mistake they made.Services: Steering & suspension replacement, Wheel alignment

Very fast and quality service. I was very satisfied. Young gentlemen that was helping me was very polite and he knew what he was doing. He was very honest too. He charged me less then originally decided because it turned out that the problem was not as we thought it would be. He explained everything to me and i was very happy. I hope he gets a raise :) thank you for your good service guys! Keep up the good work as you are!

I used to change my own oil but ever since coming here I stopped doing it myself. They always check/top all the fluids and recommend what my car needs. Also great customer service, honest on what needs to be done. Highly recommend.

I have come across Leo at Hamilton's Automotive to have an oil change and body repair for my car. I am thrilled to find him and his team. They are very nice and more than fair. I am so happy with my body work. GOOD JOB guys. I will be sending everyone I know to you. You can find them on 7401 Redwood Blvd , NOVATO. They have several locations so ask for Leo.

I had an emergency with my van, and needed it repaired on Christmas Eve. The service was great, very good price and they got my car up and running within 4 hours. I would highly recommend this shop.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

I went for battery change for my car. Before I go there I called them asked for the price. After the work they charged me more amount than they mentioned it on call. When I asked them they said they already charged. I called couple of other shops before going there. But these guys said lesser price. That s why I went here. But these guys charged more and not responsible. I won t go there again.Response from the owner:Potla, when you came to our shop for new battery we gave you a written estimate and you agreed. We honored our agreement and replaced your batteryResponse from Potla:Hi, Nope you didn't give me any estimate or agreement. I called the shop and you mentioned the price. When I came to the shop, your employee came to me and changed battery. Even you didn't mention the price before charging on my card. If you can show me the estimate you made or agreement I signed, I will take my review back.

I recommend Hamilton s Automotive because they fix my car since I moved here. They did a good job fixing any problem that your car have, also they explain to you clearly any problems in the future the car will have (permanent damage). They are very friendly.

Nice place clean and this guys are awesome they replaced all the brakes around they also installed 4 new tires so I got free wheel alignment not just that they also cleaned my vehicle they do auto details thank you. LEO %100.

Had a screw in my tire and an over charged AC system gave Eddie a call told me to come same day and was less than 30 minutes and great prices would definitely recommend and coming back for future service needs

Nice, but charged more just to look at my tire than Able Tire and Brake charged to actually fix my tire. Sorry, but I won't be going back to Hamilton's.

Terrible customer service bough two tires yesterday one went immediately flat now trying to exchange or refund and being given the run around by worker no manager onsite
