G & C Auto Body did a great job repairing my car. They work as a team and were always courteous. My only issue was communication broke down regarding car completion on a Friday vs the following Monday. They created an expectation that a Friday end of day was to be expected. So, I made plans for the weekend. At 3 pm that day the suddenly admitted that completion would be Monday. I had to cancel my plans that weekend but was happy that Monday. The car looks almost new so overall I am a very satisfied customer.

Body work fine. Left the logo signs off the trunk area. Work was done in June.We were Promised! that we would have them in Aug. Not so our next wait was by Dec. Not so.Very indifferent ;the response is can t get replacement..I m going to let USSA know. Extremely upsetTook the insurance payment did not complete job. Will never do buisness with them again

We had a small accident in an Audi Q5 and this was one of the closest AAA repair options. They were excellent in communicating all aspects of the claim and what was covered by insurance. Repaired the car quicker than they originally estimated. And I have had no problems with it since being picked up. Quality work had an affordable price, great customer service and really nice people. Highly reommend

Communication is not great with this office... I got into an accident on a Friday. I called on Monday to schedule an appointment for an estimate and their first appointment wasn t for over a week. At least the estimate went quickly and I scheduled repairs. I was told that if I brought it in on a Monday morning then it ll likely be done by the end of the week. So I scheduled for 8am on a Monday.When I dropped off, I was told that I would be called with an update. I called Tuesday afternoon there was no update, but was told that I would receive a call. No communication on Wednesday.On Thursday morning, I left a Google review (mistakenly had put it for the San Rafael location) and I received a call back almost immediately. Finally an update- my car 'should' be ready by the end of the day on Friday.

Above and beyond! G&C staff and especially Elden were professional, courteous and friendly -- a hard combination to be all three at once. They understood what happened with my car, stayed on top of my insurance claim, kept me updated and got everything done ahead of time. They took care of my rental car and were just awesome. We were very pleased with the ease and efficiency provided by Elden Lew and the other staff we worked with at G and C. We had been dreading the process but it was easy, pleasant, and they restored our beloved car to its nearly new appearance. G and C updated us as the work progressed and we appreciated their attention to detail and, especially, the quality of the repairs. We cannot even tell that the car had been hit. Really a professional organization. I brought my car in because they were on an approved list by the the insurance company of the person that rear ended me. I m glad I did. They got me an appointment fairly quickly, laid out everything that needed to be done, and took care of all the extra details like setting up a rental car. Elden was great and the job done was completed early and was impeccable. High recommend from me.Service: Body & Trim

G and C did a great job repairing my truck. The work was done in a friendly and timely manner. I highly recommend G&C and would use them again. They were recommended by my GF, who also had a very positive experience, so I had high expectations which were met if not exceeded. They also detailed the truck, inside and out, very nice touch, the truck was a mess when I dropped it off!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Avoid this place at all cost. They don't really care about their customers. They are not on time and have a very poor costumer service. I was rear ended and I dropped the car at this body shop. The manager told me that it will take 2 weeks max. to repair the car and he said he is going to give me an update every week which never happened even once. I ended up calling him to get an update. After a week, he said he needs a part (blind spot sensor) which is going to be delivered the following week and he is going to call me and let me know. Again. never happened. I called him and he changed the story and said the part is not available. He hold my car for two months claiming the part is not available. I stopped by, got the part number, came back home and found the part after two calls to dealerships. I called him back and gave him the numbers to place the order for part which was on Friday. I called him after two hours again to make sure he has placed the order and he confirmed and said it will be delivered in two days. I called him on Monday and he said he hasn't placed the order yet and came up with another excuse. I got the district manager number and called him to talk about how his manager is working. I left the manager a voice mail but never heard back from him either. They eventually repaired the car. When I got the car back and drove it for a while I realized the bind spot sensor is not working properly and has a blind spot. When I was picking up my car, I saw another costumer who had almost the same problem like mine. Long story short, avoid this place.Services: Painting, Electrical, Body & Trim

Very professional and prompt. My E350 Mercedes driver side door was crashed. Wisely, Elden ordered and inspected all of the parts before starting the work. Once I got the car to them, 4 working days and one weekend and I got my car back in perfect shape. I would recommend them without a doubt. Elden is also very personable and attentive. We took our Company Van in to have the sliding door repaired and they did a great job.they have great communication with you and keep you informed if parts are going to be late coming from other places. Very personable as well. I would take my own car there if I needed to have work done.I Recommend them.

Our car had been hit and needed a new bumper and the side hammered out. Elden Lew got us in right away on Monday, and by Thursday it was all done!! The car looked like new! The side didn't even look like it had been hammered out - it was like new. The paint job was perfect. They even replaced a tiny area on the bottom of our rear door and painted the whole door - perfectly. The car was completely washed and vacuumed out. Elden even gave me a jar of paint to fix up some dings I had on the front of the car (not related to the accident). He then proceeded to paint them for me!! He even drove the car out of an awkward area - to make it easier for me to drive out. Elden also told me that because we had AAA, the work was guaranteed for LIFE! So, if any paint chipped off, etc. (for LIFE!) we could bring it in and get it fixed for free - even if we moved to another state, we just had to call AAA and they would send us to a local autobody to fix it up for free! Elden Lew was completely polite, professional, quick and thorough - everything and more that you want when dealing with a service person. Too bad I can only rate 5 stars...After a door ding at a sporting event my insurance company referred me to a local autobody shop however the wait was too long. I found G & C and lucky me, they were an approved vendor!From appointment setup to car pick up everyone at G & C Novato came through! They even arranged my rental! Their work is flawless, the color fade matched perfectly and my door looks amazing.I don't recall the gals name at the front counter but she is a multitasking ninja! They are non-stop busy. Walk-in appointments, constant phone calls, etc. Every time I've gone in she has been professional, courteous, and friendly.I ended up having a quarter window replaced by them after my door dent. Both times I have been super pleased with the outcome.Matt and his crew are a fine example of what customer service is all about.

I don't often review places online. Most places give decent service and then expect you to fall over yourself in love with them. G&C is not one of those places. The two unfortunate times I have needed their services were both exceptional experiences. Making an appointment was easy. They were in constant communication about where we were at in the process. They dealt with the insurance company. I've had other places put me in the position of being middle may every time they needed information from my insurance. The work was done on time as promised. I wouldn't think of taking my family's cars anywhere else if we need service in the future.

Great staff and service. Got two windows broken in a smash and grab in the city. Brought my car in for extensive scratch repairs on a Wednesday and by the following Tuesday, the repairs were done. They coordinated everything with insurance. They even scheduled the rental car service be there when I initially dropped my car off and brought the rental car back on the return. Will be back for any more repairs or issues going forward.

A car rolled back into us on a hill and damaged our grill and front bumper. We worked with Elden from G & C in Novato and he was wonderful! Polite, knowledgeable and the work was finished when he said it would be. Most importantly, the car looks and drives like nothing ever happened. The paint is a diamond white and they were able to match it perfectly. Thank you, Elden and the G & C Novato team!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Today I needed a minor fender repair but it was urgent because I had a long drive ahead of me and I was in an unfamiliar place, Novato. I found G & C autobody by google search and was thrilled that they were only 3 minutes away and 30 minutes before closing, I was very lucky. Mike was able to take care of me right away and I was on the road again within 5 minutes. He was kind and generous. I really appreciated his help. I felt very taken care of and if needed, I would consider commuting to have any future work done. I highly recommend this shop for its excellent customer service. Thank you again. Erinn

I dropped off my Subaru at the Novato location, and was told that they were going to need to transfer it over to the San Rafael location. The next day Erik said that they were going to keep it at the Novato location. He said this was due to my insurance provider. Not completely sure what the real reason was. My insurance provider required photos of the damage, and apparently G&C sent them such poor quality They couldn t use them. Finally my insurance got reasonable quality photos so they could the give the go ahead to finally finish the job.I got the car back, and the rear cargo compartment was in shambles, and they had pulled out the privacy shade, but never put it back where they found it. I generally keep my car in good shape, and I was appalled by the shape my car was in when it was returned to me.Erik asked for me to give him a review of the service, and would like it if I gave him a ten, as he would get a talking to by his boss if their service anything less.Today, I went to fill up with gas, and flipped the gas lid lever, and the gas lid would not open. After several attempts, I had to use my key to pry the lid open hoping I would not damage the lid in the process. When I finally got it open there was masking tape still in the filler compartment which was keeping the filler lid closed. Someone else under the same circumstances may have given up trying to open the lid, and would have had to call a tow truck.Bottom line I am very disappointed with G&C, and will never go back to them as I m sure that there are other auto body shops that pay much closer detail to their work, or at lest I hope so!

I had a small hit and run with my car, it looked like some one had backed into the front bumper with a trailer hitch. I took my car to G&C in Novato. I was very please with Gary and all the employees, the work was done right and on time. Their friendly demeanor and helpful attitude was over the top. Check them out!

Employees at G&C Autobody were all very professional, courteous, well-trained in their job positions; repaired my vehicle in a timely fashion with reasonable cost. It was so helpful to have a loaner car for the time in which they had my vehicle. Waiting area comfortable; restrooms very clean.
