I had the BEST experience at Active Auto Sales! I set up an appointment thru text with Charlie. He was incredibly honest and straight-forward, and made the entire process of buying a car incredibly easy. He answered our questions, we test drove the car, and he let us pay a $500 deposit to hold the car for 48 hours because the bank had closed, so I couldn't get the cash. He accepted a check the next day, which was also super helpful. The entire process from answering questions to completing the paperwork/payment was maybe an hour total. I got a great car for an incredibly reasonable price -- a 2012 Honda Accord with 80K miles for less than $15K before taxes and fees (this was after the salesperson at AutoNation Toyota in Hayward said I would never find what I was looking for unless I was willing to pay in the $20Ks). Thank you, Charlie!

I was referred to Olaf by a friend who had bought two cars from him and he came very highly recommended and my experience with him reflected that. Olaf does not fit the trope of a used car salesman.. he s incredibly genuine and informative. Not only was he just earnestly helpful but he also did me a massive favor. The car I intended to buy was sold over the weekend while I was out of town and by chance he had just gotten in the same model with less miles and in slightly better (it s almost near perfect) condition. He honored the price he was going to sell the other one to me for so I m incredibly grateful and very happy with my gorgeous 2013 BMW X3. Having no knowledge of buying a used car, he walked me through everything and it was a totally easy and seamless process. He also accepted a check which was very helpful. Thank you Olaf! Will send anyone looking to buy a used car in your direction.

Search No more with decisions decisions for a like new used car on your wish list. The Inventory is fantastic. Efficient service. Great prices, low mileage and Fuel efficient slowing down your gas prices. Simple stop and browse or call. I m grateful for my Ford C max Hybrid. I took the long way home beaming from ear to ear. Save your precious time for other life adventures.

I have purchased 3 very different cars from Active Auto Sales (Saab, Mini Cooper, and BMW) and had a great buying experience every time and kept each car for many years. Olaf is very knowledgeable and able to guide you through the car buying process, based on what you are looking for. I have also recommended them to numerous friends/family members and every person has been very satisfied with their experience.

Active Auto is a great little hidden gem used car lot! I purchased a used Mini from Olaf a few months back, and the experience couldn't have been better. Great cars, fair prices, easy financing, and the people couldn't be nicer!I have never had some form of buyer's remorse any time I have purchased a vehicle, but not this time. I was treated well, and got the car I wanted at the rate and term I wantes.They have a great selection of European cars,and every car on the lot is priced fairly, and not a POC. Give Olaf and Active Auto a visit!

Found these guys by accident and I'm so glad I did! Olaf and Charlie have an excellent selection of vehicles and were very up front and honest from start to finish. I live more than an hour from this place and my skepticism about used car dealers almost made me miss out on an incredible experience and a top-notch car!There were no aggressive salesman, no pitches, and NO pressure. Just a few of straight-forward, friendly and informative people who happily provided the service and information that would definitely be missing at any other dealership. I highly agree with the positive reviews about Active Auto, and I'm VERY doubtful of the negative ones.My S60 is perfect and I couldn't be more thrilled. Huge thank you to the folks at Active Auto!

I didn't know much about cars, however; when you need to learn you research and this is something that I'm really good at. After doing many days of research on cars that I thought would be reliable, I went car shopping. It's hard when you are under pressure. After going to every car dealer that I could find between San Rafael and Novato, I found this gem.Active staff Charlie was there to listen to what I was looking for and my range price. He was very patient and I was free to test drive and walk around without any pressure. Have you seeing a woman going shopping for clothes?!?! That was me shopping for cars.This is what I learned about this place: they were open to listen (Charlie and the owner); never pressured me; gave me freedom to ask questions and walk around; and took my concerns and questions into consideration.What I learned as I walked around and google all the cars that I would considered, this dealership had cars that had been ranked really well for the years and models on the lot. Other dealers including big ones - no need for names - had years for certain models that are to be avoided at all cost. This was the first dealer that I did not find any cars that were not reliable and safe.This is a must go dealership!!!!Thank you Active for making this a great experience . I'm really happy with my Subaru.

I had the best buying experience with Olaf! I was unable to get to the dealership, olaf offered a video walk around, was totally helpful, honest, and personable. Olaf delivered the car to me and at was just a great buying experience!

I know Olaf for over 20 years a friend in need is a friend indeed Since I know him I bought all of my cars from him my Porsche my Beamer my Touareg all my 11 cars including my minivanI that I use for work ( nurse on wheels) I even took my boss there I thought she would like one of those Subaru but she prefer the X5what do I know.I turned to him after both of my van broke down I broke down terrible time for anything to happen. I was just back at work.And of course Olaf made it happen I drove out there with my favorite color car blue E3 20 thank you Olaf thank you Tina but thank you so much Charlie . Oh I named her Audrey

Olaf Becker is the man! I don t have enough great things to say about the folks at Active Auto. Service was top notch and I felt like I was really being taken care of as if I were a family member. Called in for a car I saw an add on and walked out the door with it 3 days later. I would recommend this place to anyone interested in picking up a high quality used vehicle in the Bay Area.

Awesome selection of beautiful reasonably priced cars. Very honest and fair service. Olaf goes out of his way to make sure you have a great experience. I would recommend Active Auto to anyone. The best!!!!!

My girlfriend and I went to the dealership and no one helped us or even tried to acknowledge that we were even there trying to buy a car. We looked around for about 20 minutes and still no one, so I personally walked into the office and asked for help and they sent someone out that had little to no experience about selling cars. The guy was looking for the car that we were interested in after we told him what car we wanted to buy not knowing we were literally standing right in front of it. My girlfriend and I had to tell him the car he is looking for is right in front of him and when we started the vehicle up so I could listen to the engine to see if there were any weird noises there was a very loud and constant squealing/humming coming from the car. I used to work on cars in Oregon for a living (I have serviced a lot of vehicles in my time), so out of curiosity of what answer I would get I ask them what was wrong with the motor and if they knew about the squealing/humming issue. They seemed upset, agitated, and embarrassed at the same time so they just ignored the fact about the car and asked if we could wait while they finish helping someone else that was there and put us on the back burner. My girlfriend and I left very dissatisfied with how they handled themselves as a business. These people advertise their cars as if they are top notch when they are practically lemons do not buy from this place unless you want to be screwed over and treated poorly this is by far the worst experience I ve ever had at any dealership I highly recommended not going to this place you d be better off walking.

These people just want to make quick money. Once they get their payment, they won't care about you anymore. Find another dealer, these people just want your money. Half of their reviews are fake w/o a review. You have been warned.

Definitely would like to thank Olaf here at Active Auto Sales for helping me purchase a 2006 Jaguar XJ Super V8. Flew in from out of state and he was more than willing to pick me up from the airport. Got to talking with him and the experience couldn t have been better. Truly a wonderful business man and hope to make a purchase with him again.

Wanted to buy a car from this seller but he raised the priced up even though I was going to pay cash. He said it's because "these kind of car's value just went up." What kind of person raises prices during a pandemic.

These ppl are running smog dmv scams was sold a vehicle that I was told passed smog it had not paid cash out the door so it s no longer there problem they will not give me the title for my vehicle that I paid cash for and still have about 764 bucks in licensing fees that were obviously not used.

Had to wait for 3 hours in the lobby. Then they want to charge extra high on taxes. Save yourself some time. Try another dealer.
