I bought a car from one of Elkhorn Smog's customers who recently passed smog. Less than an hour after I bought the car, the check engine light came on. Turns out there was a huge manifold leak which indicates the smog technician illegally passed this vehicle.

Owner has been there forever. He's fast, inexpensive, short waits, knows how to deal with the odd circumstances and solve issues quick. Very nice man and above all is extremely honest

Awesome service. The guy who did my smog check was super fast even while busy. He also held a great conversation with me as he was doing the work. Great and quick smog shop. I highly recommend calling and letting him know you are stopping by first just to make the transaction smooth. Also take cash if possible it's just easier and more convenient for both parties.

The service was quick but very thorough and informative. The owner took time out of his day with no charge to explain why my car wasn't passing smog and walked me through what I needed to get done to eventually pass the smog check. Very happy with the service.

Nice guy running the place. Showed me where I have a small exhaust leak while running the test. Reasonably priced, would return next time I need a smog check.The place is a little hard to find. A sign near the street would be helpful.

Very professional, friendly and straight forward. The gentleman let me know that I wouldn't pass the test and even let me know what needed to be fixed before it would pass - saving me money. Once I fix the issue I'm obviously returning here for the great service.

Great place to do smog, quick to get the car in and out with minimal waiting time and reasonable prices. Also helpful with looking up part numbers for carb legal items that others sometimes don't do. Highly recommend for hassle free service!

So Glad I gave them 5 stars review...I couldn't re call which smog station that I used 2 years ago with my old Dodge Ram van conversion...I had to call around to find a place that does an older vehicle..The man who helped us was very nice now its smog time again..I need to make an appointment with them..

I can't say I "Loved it" and give it 5 stars (what can you expect from someone that doesn't like life? We can't even give things 5 stars??) but I can tell you that I like this guy and I think he runs a good business. I feel fortunate to have him in my area because he's fair and decent. (yes it's one dude running the shop)

The guy charged me $50 for a failed smog because of a small issue involving transmission light even though the pass was guaranteed. I was gonna fix the transmission but the guy recommended me to retire the vehicle through CA BAR. I didn't even understand why I paid $50 for. Just don't think it's fair to charge customers on "consulting". The job wasn't done but I had to I had to pay the guy $50 for nothing.

Didn't know how to smog 77 corevette and still charged me and I went back for 2nd try and still failed. Went to another smog shop and it passed, Elkhorn smog refused to refund my money, will never refer or us them EVER AGAIN !!!
