A great location and deal if you're planning on visiting Yosemite, Sequoia National Park or any of the other local parks. Yosemite Valley is about an hour drive away if there's no traffic. Sequoia was about 1.5 hours away. Super home like space and comfortable beds. All the guests there were friendly when I stayed and we quickly became good friends meeting for exchanging our travel stories at the end of the day. The outdoor cat there was also so cute and hung out on the picnic table in the front a lot. I purchased food at the grocery store near Fresno before driving up here so got a better deal and selection than what the limited local stores had to offer. I recommend that if you can. The pizza place nearby was very good though. There is no AC so a stay during cooler or not as hot months is better. There are several fans but still AC is AC. I stayed the beginning of June and it was fine. There are also no lockers for storage so leave your things in your car if you want. I left my clothes in my luggage next to my bed and didn't have any problems. There are also no shades on the windows, which I guess helps you get up early! But it would be nice to have shades to sleep in a little longer.

We had a great staying. Super clean and cozy, the kitchen is well equipped but I couldn t find a toaster or microwave maybe I missed that. It was good choice because we went to Sequoia park after Yosemite and the hostel is on the way.Rooms: They have a big bunk bed it is very spacious. The only thing is the beds are made of metal so they are quite noisy when you move during the night not even the earplugs helped.Oh there isn t air conditioning but it was totally fine because there are a lot fans.It is a nice little hostel.

Without exaggerating, I just loved this hostel. It's really cozy! They did a really good job decorating and designing the common areas and the kitchen was fully equipped, with oven and all! There's a fireplace, a barbecue and a lovely cat who likes to say hi!The rooms and bathrooms are clean.Of course the hostel is a bit noisy, but its fine with earplugs.Lovely people and a good location.Still a 2 hour drive from Yosemite though!

I really liked this hostel! Super clean, cute, and very hospitable/ personable. I really enjoyed the feel of being at home, and I was very fortunate to have such wonderful roommates to share my female dorm with, it felt like a slumber party! I really enjoyed the other two that were in the co-Ed room. Overall, I had such a wonderful stay that I will definitely be back!!!Nearby activities: While this was in a very small town, they had so much to do in town disco/ dancing, bars with live music, food.Safety: I felt super safe in the area and with the other roommates.

The hostel is super cozy. The other guests were great, giving it a really nice social feel. I only stayed here for a night and never met the owners. The other guests were the ones who showed me around. It felt very hands-off, but not in an apathetic corporate way.If you're looking for a low budget place that's not too far from Yosemite, go here.

A really nice and cozy hostel, has all the amenities you'd want! Kind of hard to call this a hostel, as it has a very homey environment with lot's of board games and a shared living room. Really recommended!Kim and Heather are super friendly and let us stay on a short notice, were very welcoming and generous.Bathrooms are newly renovated, and the rooms are awesome. The only downside which wasn't really a bother is that there's no AC, but many fans that work great. Loved the kitchen, has everything you could want in order to cook :) plus a coffee maker!

While traveling through Northern California, I had the pleasure of staying at the Jackass Hostel in North Fork, CA. I have stayed at hostels before while traveling and have had a usually enjoyable time. And the Jackass Hostel was no exception. The living room offers large flat screen television with streaming options, video games and board games. The kitchen offers everything you would need to cook a nice at home meal. The spacious bathroom offers a large shower. The upstairs bedroom has four bunk beds and eight beds altogether.I really enjoyed my night at the Jackass Hostel. The staff and fellow guests were very cool and chill. The place had a warmth and comfort about. If you are ever passing through North Fork, CA., I highly recommend the Jackass Hostel.

Our stay at the hostel was very pleasant. The host was very nice and greeted us upon arrival, then showed us around to our bunk and amenities available. WiFi was free to use, along with access to Netflix, Amazon Video, and HBO Now. A full kitchen with spices, cookware, and a good selection of accoutrements was available for use by guests. Lots of literature for exploring Yosemite National Park was available to look at on the living room table, along with the host being more than happy to answer any questions we had about the area. The bathroom was newly remodeled with very nice slate tile on the floor and in the shower. The beds were standard cot/ bunk beds you would expect at a hostel experience. The host has a new puppy in the process of being trained who was very friendly and fun to play with. Overall a great experience.

My favorite hostel in 8+ years. Great hosts, close to Yosemite; well thought out rules, strictly enforced, that benefit the comfort of all guests. Can't recommend enough, 3rd stay in less than 2 years. If you like hostels you'll love this one. Note: if you've never stayed in a hostel, the rooms are shared, few bathrooms to many, quiet hours are enforced.

This was a lucky finding for us! clean, cozy and comfortable hostel. Our host was so nice and friendly, she explained the house rules who help everyone to rest and have a good time. Outdoor area is beyond cute! A lot of places to hang, enjoy nature and rest. <br/>Will definitely coming back again.

Really enjoyed my stay! Clean beds, hot shower and nice staff!! Not to mention lots of board games and Netflix on the big tv in the main room! Nice, quaint kitchen with lots of appliances! Very sweet puppy that also lived there which I thought was a great plus! Kindof in the middle of nowhere, but awesome for the price if you re heading up to Yosemite!

On my way driving to this hostel my friend gets a message that it's 10pm and they assume we found somewhere else to stay then don't pick up the phone. We spent the day hiking in Yosemite and want a bed to sleep in. We had these reservations for a while. I'm sitting in the car wondering what I'm supposed to do as I write this. Horrible of you guys there was no rule about curfew either. And apparently if we show up there is a dog guarding the place like WHAT?!

This place is very quaint. Located in a small town that you will enjoy exploring. The host is incredibly kind and helpful as well as the owner. You have access to the kitchen, living area, bathroom, and outside shower. They have chickens and two cats. There is also a creek at the bottom of the hill in the back.

Friendly and cozy, although the bunk bed is a bit wobbly. Convenient stop if you are leaving Yosemite and want to rest before returning to the Fresno Airport.
