My new mechanic shop! The family photos on the wall only dictate what type of honest and loyal person Larry is. Not only did he fix my car in a day, but he also fixed my AC while he was at it. Thank you! Will be coming back again for my brakes.

Mc Carthy Auto is one of my customers in the California area. they gave us a bad check for payment and have promised payment multiple times. He has gone silent on communications with us and we are unsure how to reach him. I would not trust this location and would advise you take your business elsewhere. They are unfit to serve as a reputable option in our local area.

Had a bad experience with another shop, so I called Larry. Larry and Bob and the guys checked the other shops work and found issues. They finished the large job in a day. Was moving from California to New Mexico and was having some car trouble and was really worried we might not make it with our car. Made a call late Monday night they got us in first thing the next morning. We had a time crunch, they took care of us in a timely manner and got us back on the road in a few hours!! We made it to NM safely. They were really wonderful, professional and reasonably priced!! If I am ever back in the area they will be the only ones who will ever get my business.Service: Engine repair

DO NOT GO HERE! I took my vehicle he had it for days. I kept calling they kept saying they don t know what s wrong with my vehicle. Every time I talk to them they kept saying they test driving it (he was using it for personal use drove it from norco to lake Elsinore multiple times) my car was over a half a tank I get it back in literal E. They left my keys in the car with the windows down over night in the rain!!!! They did work with out talking to me first and tried to charge me 675! And claimed they contacted my warranty and that the warranty denied it. I contact my warranty and they were never called and that the work they claimed they did would be covered under the warranty! He claim he took everything out and left my keys in the car and told me to pick it up! He didn t want to give me any paperwork on what was going on! Do not go here! They will leave your car unlocked with keys in the car over night in the rain! And there s nothing stopping someone from stealing it and driving it off the property! Now I have to put gas in my car and still take it somewhere to get fixed! Wasted my time, gas, and money! If I could give them no stars I would!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

Just awful. Spoke to Larry on Saturday for my car making sound that i have to show him. Told me to come down in afternoon . I came on time and Larry had already left for day. Bob was there i was able to show him the sound . Spoke to Larry on that evening he told me to bring on Monday morning. I left car he couldn't find enough time to get to my car . First he said i din't get time today to drive then he changed his story i did drive dint see problem. I had to call the while day to get that status update from him . He dint bothered to call once to tell he dint see the issue . Since i saw my whole day was getting wasted i offered him if you give me some time i can reproduce problem. He told me will give me call today in Afternoon to show him the sound. I went there again at 430 afternoon and guess what he left for day again !!! No communication at all!! That's just NOT professional at all. I called him and Larry again started making excuses he had an apt and he left early. Btw he told me to come early on Monday but he was not there per Bob and came at 11 even though i took time going there in morning to show him sound.I wasted my whole day and half . Never saw Larry once and he not once called me to tell me status. Then when i spoke to him . He became rude and hung up on me told me to take to other shop. I came in other car with my kids to especially show the sound and he dint care at all. If i was able to produce the issue in 10 mins and show to Bob this tech kept the car for whole day and couldn't reproduce which when i offered to help to reproduce he seemed too occupied with other chores. Don't waste your time here.****Also note at end thy threatened me to sue in court if i give bad review. I have written what exactly happened this was not pleasant experience all with Larry .

I brought my 2003 Toyota Camry to McCarthy Auto Repair to replace the A/C fan, because we had received such poor service repair at the Quality Toyota Service Dept in Corona. (We had been using the service dept at Quality Toyota exclusively for maintenance/repairs for over ten years, prior to going to McCarthy Auto Repair).McCarthy Auto Repair fixed my car very quickly AND for a very fair price. They were very friendly too. They did not treat me like "just a number" like the dealerships make you feel AND they fixed it right the first time! I did NOT have to take it back a second or third time to get the repair fixed correctly, like I have had to do at the Quality Toyota Service Dept.We will definitely be bringing our vehicles back to McCarthy Auto Repair in the future. We will NO longer be taking our vehicles to any dealerships for service. In my opinion, the dealerships are only good for changing the oil on cars and that's it.McCarthy Auto Repair also has a "mobile" service as well, so if we ever need a "mobile" service, it's so nice to know who to call. We would highly recommend McCarthy Automotive Repair.

I am fairly new to Norco (single mother) and was in need of a trust, worthy, affordable auto repair shop. Unfortunately at first I did not choose the right shop to trust my vehicles too. After this first shop, did more damage and lied about what was wrong with my vehicle. I randomly called Larry at Mc Carthy's automotive for a second opinion Larry (the owner) was beyond accomidating,(even fixed the issue for free) offering extensive information on what was needed, or more importantly not needed. Larry is unlike other automotive shops that try to take advantage of women and their lack of knowledge on cars. He went out of his way to go to the first shop with me to help me fight for my money back and explain to the orginal shop why they have lost my business. All the time keeping his presents professional and respectful to the other shop. A true upstanding man, business owner and trustworthy repair shop. I will from now on only take my vehicles to Mc Carthy's and recommend this shop to anyone that needs a trustworth, affordable shop.

Very helpful. I haven't been able to find anyone who wants to work on 1980 MBZ Coupe, they will. Also referred to good Smog place. I will be bringing my "baby" here for any necessary work in the future. Very kind and professional.

I asked him to fix a battery, instead he put a new fuel pump and charged me over $1000. I asked him to check it out and come back he never did, he took me to court and lied to the judge about the work he did . He is a shady man and is still harassing me. Stop Harassing me LARRY WHITCOMB
