David was amazing to deal with when purchasing my 2008 fj cruiser. He made the process very easy and quick. He's very friendly, upfront, and honest about everything and went above and beyond to ensure that I was well taken care of! Also, he walked me step by step and explained everything in detail regarding the financing process. David is the most friendly, honest dealer. He makes sure his cars are in good condition mechanically and aesthetically. Recently I referred a friend to David after purchasing my dear Miata earlier this year, and David went above and beyond in helping her finding her dream car. It was my first time buying a car myself, and David was extremely helpful and friendly. Firstly, I was running late, but he stayed for me to come see the vehicle and kept in contact. He was very transparent about everything and answered all of my questions, I even learned quite a bit about cars and car buying/selling from him. He was not pushy at all and gave me some time to think before making the purchase. Once I was ready to buy he was super quick. I was expecting to be in his office for 1-2 hours but it ended up being only 30 minutes or so. He gave me a good deal trading in my old car for a Honda CRV. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a used car and a comfortable person to work with.

I purchased a car from David this week and he was a genuine pleasure to work with. He did not rush me and made me feel at ease. David let me evaluate the car as long as I wanted and answered all my questions. I would definitely recommend seeing David at Coast Auto Motors for your next purchase. I would give him 10 stars.I bought a car from David recently and had an excellent experience. It only came with one key and remote but David said he would keep looking. A few days later he called and told me he found the second key and remote. Saved me a lot of money having a smart key duplicated as well as a remote bought and paired. Thats great customer service. Bought this 2003 Toyota Land Cruiser from David, very honest straight forward gentlemen. I have been searching for a land cruiser for along time now and called and talked to many different dealerships and people trying to find one COAST AUTO MOTORS was the only dealership I felt they were completely honest to me about the vehicle and history super clean land cruiser I bought from David and honestly I was hesitant trying to find one of these older vehicles and actually finalize the purchase. I felt extremely comfortable and safe purchasing this vehicle from David. It was a pleasure and he will always have my business if I m looking for a vehicle he has.Highly recommend for a honest purchase on a vehicle that will have you feeling at ease.Jeremy

David made purchasing a vehicle from him more pleasant than other auto purchases I've had. I posted a review prior to this and it was much more thorough, but, I lost it when I went back to edit it because I hadn't finished. David seems to me like a fair and honest man. Whom, during negotiations made a very emotional transaction for me, not as bad. I would recommend him to friends and family.

I bought a very nice Nissan XTerra, which David gave me a very good deal on. In obtaining this great vehicle at a reasonable price, it enabled me to gift an older Nissan Pathfinder that I owned to a nearby wildlife sanctuary that desperately needed a vehicle. It is certainly very rare to deal with anyone in automobile vehicle sales like David with as much integrity and honesty.

Had a great experience buying from David. He was very accommodating with my schedule since I was coming from more than an hour drive away. The first day I saw the car, it was too late for me to take the car to an independent shop for an inspection which is a requirement for me. David was fine with this and was happy to set up an appointment the next day. I appreciated how he wasn't pushy about getting the car sold and wanted me to be comfortable with my purchase. At first, I was hesitant on coming here because of other negative reviews but I'm convinced now that many people have bad experiences because they do not thoroughly understand what they're buying and get surprised later on because they did not get it inspected or familiarize themselves with common problems on the vehicle. David's a salesman, not a magician. If we're buying 10+ year old cars, there are bound to be some problems and we should budget appropriately. Was the price maybe a little high? Sure, but I was happy to pay a premium for an extremely clean car with documented service records that easily beats other rusted out alternatives I've looked at. Show respect to David and you will get respect from him. Out of all the dealerships I've visited, this place certainly has an inventory above average and I would recommend anyone to get a capable Toyota or Lexus vehicle from here.

I had been looking for a Toyota Land Cruiser for months. I was very specific in what I was looking for and I came across one here. Lucky for me only 2 miles away from my house since the others were all out of state. I was also a little worried about the reviews for this place but decided to call on this Land Cruiser. David was very friendly, knowledeable an accomodative. He let me take my time looking over the car and test driving. He was not at all pushy and his price was very fair considering the demand for this vehicle across the country. Since my search was nation wide and there were so few out there I knew of all of them and his price was definitely in line. I had a car that I wanted to trade and he gave me a very fair deal with that as well. He let me walk away to think about the deal he had made and said he would keep that deal as long as the car was available which was more than fair. I called him early the next morning and bought the car. He was very transparent in the process and the paperwork was done in less than 30 mins. I couldn't be happier with my experience working with David and I would do it again. As far as the car goes, everything checked out with my mechanic and looks good. These are used cars and its as is. I can't expect David to know every little thing that may be wrong with a car but he was extremely pleasant to work with and I felt he did everything in his power to make a clean, transparent and fair deal. If you are looking for a car don't hesitate to call David.

I rarely write a review however I felt compelled to share my wonderful experience with David at Coast Auto Motors . I was in the market for a used truck for my business and after looking at various dealerships and online I found the perfect vehicle . Not only was the price at a great deal but the Carfax on the car was exactly what I was looking for ( a quality vehicle ) . I called to schedule an appt to look at it and David was kind enough to accommodate my schedule by staying late . Upon meeting David , I never felt pressured and could tell he was honest and fair . He explained how long he s been in the business and believes in selling quality over quantity . Every car on the lot was well maintained , low miles and fairly priced . I have to say that David will now be my go to and only person I d refer when it comes to purchasing a car . The experience all around made for a pleasant and successful trip to purchase the perfect car . Thank you David for everything !

BUYER BEWARE! If I could give a review with negative stars, I would!I have been to his place with a friend (the one buying the car). David comes off as a nice guy, and is really good at convincing one that the car is in great state and that you re make the best deal you could. He sold my friend a vehicle that appeared great upon the test drive, which was a very short ride around the block probably to have the issues not being noticed before closing the deal. Right away, leaving his store and driving on the highway the issues started. And that was when we realized that he apparently forgot to give the warranty agreed during the negotiation, and would compromise to no more than $80 for the repairs after being told he was a scammer. Now my friend is stuck with the expensive repairs to fix her vehicle, and he simply will not answer her calls or messages.Highly warn against buying there.

BUYER BEWARE!! Coast Auto Motors owner, David Totakhail does not tell you the whole story about his vehicles, yet he advertises cars as "looks, drives, and feels perfect," and "great condition inside and out." He is not honest, although appearing as a "nice guy." Just know that he does not check his cars out for anything mechanical at all. Cars are sold "as is," along with a three month warranty that is basically worthless. When we recently bought our 2003 Toyota Land Cruiser, we were given only one key. He had implied that he would give us the second key, but after we signed all the paper work, he could not find the other key (It was very expensive for us to replace the 2nd key). The spare tire tools were missing and to replace them has cost us over $200. After taking the car to our mechanic, we have been stuck with $4,000 worth of work, none of it covered by the worthless warranty. Coffee stains were found under the driver's seat. WE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER. Please do not believe David Totakhail that the cars he sells are in good condition. Please be aware. Walk away. I only wish I would have read the other Google reviews before we purchased from him.

Terrible high pressure drove from Madera over 4 hours away and when I test drove the car it was making a weird engine noise so I wanted to have a mechanic look at it a my expense before I bought. he would not allow me to have the car reviewed and was basically trying to convince me to trust him. THEN Basically said take it or leave it. So I left the lot then he called me to offer me a 3 month warranty for free after he was trying to sell it to me first as a good faith to me. Highly warn against buying here.

We just bought a 2007 Highlander from David and had a good experience. My father test drove the car and checked it out for me, since I live several hours' drive away, and the car is everything I wanted it to be. David was accommodating and kind. I would definitely recommend him.

BUYER BEWARE! If I could give a review with zero stars, I would! Here's how David Totakhail conducts business; He informed me that the only issues with a 1961 Cadillac were a an inoperable power window and an issue with the AC. Paid David for shipment of vehicle from California to Pennsylvania on his word that the vehicle only had specified faults, David had excuses regarding my speculations and would not allow me to have a mechanic inspect the car before payment. Against my better judgement and desire for the vehicle, I sent him the money. Upon arrival the advertised "rebuilt" motor ran terribly, the interior accessories did not work AT ALL. Upon receiving my complaints, David insisted that the damages occured during transport. The pictures are timestamped and were taken on Davids lot. They clearly do not show a "perfect" body condition. Essentially David has conned me into buying an expensive paper weight that is now sitting at my local mechanic pending thousands of dollars of repairs.David Totakhail is a very shady business man, his sales practices involve lies and deceit along with benefitting from buyers in different states. My lawyer has been contacted along with the Better Business Bureau.This review serves me no purpose other than to try and save other potential buyers from falling for Mr. Totakhails shady business practices.

This Clown called my Craigslist add about a Vehicle I m selling. Verbally abused me out the gate claiming my suv is not 4wd, when he hadn t seen the car, sent him pictures of the drive train and transfer case also the factory 4wd emblem, he still denied reality. This guy is a straight fool. Would never consider doing business with him.

I went last week to look at his three Landcruisers. They all had issues which I pointed out and incensed the owner. He yelled at me that I was a tire kicker and not a buyer. He wouldn't allow a mechanic inspection and kept the test drive to a minimum. I spent maybe 30 minutes there and he said I wasted his time. Anyway, I bought a better one the next day after he was dismissive and abusive. Good luck.

I have been going to Dave for over 20 years now. He has always done a great job and has our best interest in mind. He treats me as though I were family and I considered him Uncle Dave! I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family and others as an honest business man.

I wish I could leave negative zero stars for this place.No joke David completely ripped me off.This man is completely driven by GREED and cares nothing for consumers.He sold me a vehicle that appeared great upon our test drive and in less than 2 weeks the brake light and check engine light came on.Now I am stuck with the expensive repairs to fix this vehicle.Complete DECEITFUL THIEF!Do yourself a favor and stay away!

I came here to look at a Lexus SUV. The car looked to be in pretty good condition from the pictures online, but when I saw it in person, I realized that was not the case. For example, the wood trim on the steering wheel had been painted over with house paint, but none of the pictures online showed the steering wheel. The car was pretty rough and would need a lot of work, so I made a low offer, and the owner flipped out, started screaming expletives at me and threatened me to get off his property. Very unprofessional. I would stay far away from this place.

Very honest guy. Works mainly with Toyota s and has been in the car business for over 30 years. He sold us a 2012 Corolla with 42k miles for a great price and in amazing condition. My family hopes to do business again with him in the future.

Mr. Totak it's a pleasure to do business with.It was my first time buying a car and Mr. Totak had the patience to explain me all the details,terms and conditions.We are happy owners of a Audi S4 from 2011. He is very knowledgeable and straight forward type of person . Just listened to my friend call this dealer asking about a 2006 Land Cruiser. My friend asked for more photos of the SUV and the Carfax. This is totally acceptable because the photos on the website were low quality. Guy took pictures of his computer screen from his website, and refused to provide the carfax, and told my friend that he didn't think he was a buyer anyways. Stay far away from this place, as the previous reviewer said.

Went in to check out a landcruiser. The landcruiser wasnt at the location so we had to go pick it up from his "storage". Once we get to it I notice the gas was super low and asked if we would make it back to his shop. He said "of course", 2 blocks in and we run out of gas and are stuck on the side of the road waiting for 20min. We took the down time to check out the car, we find some things we didnt really like. Now we are back at his shop space and I get to looking around at the body and notice it has alot more dents and scratches that were not visible in the pictures. My wife and I decide maybe we should think it over before committing to it. We were nothing but kind to him the entire time even after wasting our time due to his lack of preparation. When we told him we wanted to think it over and we will call him back. He replys with "dont bother calling me back, I don't want your business." This guy needs to grow up. I would recommend staying away.

He sounded normal on the phone but once I got to his store things didn't match his ads. Miles not correct, other problems not posted in ad. Very misleading, false advertisement. After I told him I would report him. He went crazy and started dropping 'F' bombs and shouted to get out. Totally unexpected and caught me off guard, I think he keeps a weapon under his desk because he keep reaching for something as I quickly left.
