Wow absolutely the best experience I had taking my 1986 F150 to Steve s shop. I called and scheduled to bring my truck in the next day. Carlos was the person who helped me out. He asked me a couple questions about the brakes and the problem I was having w my parking brake engaging at the very end of the pedal press. Carlos had me drive the truck in and engage the parking brake. He made a couple adjustments and just like that my parking brake was engaging further up like a normal parking brake should. It took him no more that 4 minutes to make those adjustments. Impressive to say the least. Im happy i now have a parking brake considering my truck is a manual transmission. If youre on the fence about taking your car or truck into get brake work done please do yourself a favor and take it to Bush Power Brakes. Excellent customer service and Steve and Carlos are great guys to talk to. Thank you guys

I have a 99 K2500 suburban and all the brakes replaced and fluid flushed by another shop. After driving it the I lost the brake pedal and became very spongy. I was told by other shop the abs controller and master cylinder were goin out. If I purchased the parts, they would install for free. My uncle suggested I talk to Bush Brakes. I went down, spoke to Steve and told exactly what was replaced and the symptoms. After checking a few things under the hood he took it for a text drive and the brakes were fixed. He told what he had done and why it needed to be done. 10 minutes later problem fixed and at extremely fair price. Honest shop. Honest people. Honest service. I will be back. Don't waste time with other shops. Go there first.

Very helpful people working at the shop. They do guarantee their work. When you have a 72 El Camino. You need custom made parts.

Steve Bush was recommended to me by a friend of mine who is a master mechanic. He said Steve was "THE brake guy" in San Diego for vintage cars (mine is is a 1960's Corvette). Steve and Carlos went through the entire brake system and repaired and rebuilt everything necessary in only two days. He charged a very reasonable price. Most importantly, the brakes now work far better than they ever have. Steve will tell you that you don't need to spend big bucks to modernize/upgrade your vintage factory brake system. You just need it set up properly. Like me, you probably won't quite believe him until he sets up your brakes. Then you will be a believer. He is THE brake guy.Service: Brakes

Great place to have your booster rebuilt. I spoke with Steve the owner, and sent mine in from out of state. I had it back within a week halfway across the US. The truck stops great now and no more whistling when I've got my foot on the brake. Thanks again!

If you want the absolute best why drive anywere else. Steve is undoubtedly the best in San Diego. Let me put it this way, other brake shops send what they cant to to him.Hes great with old cars and his pricing is reasonable considering the quality, care and the kindness he treats the vehicles with and most importantly the people. You can go to other places but Steve Bush is the best and repairs the rest. Love this man

Thankfully for me, I found Bush Power Brake Service. I experienced an unusually high level of expertise. Its no exaggeration that they saved my truck from the junk yard.I originally took my truck to the dealer for service and my brakes were working fine (July 17). The dealer told me that I needed a brake job to replace brake linings. That cost $971 for the brake jobthat also included new brake fluid. Afterwards the brake pedal felt very spongy. I took it back and they said that I needed a master cylinder. Another $488 and a total of 2 1/2 days at the dealer. Then the brakes felt that they were on all the time to some degree. I was driving slowly on the freeway when the front began shaking and got progressively worse. I pulled over and let it rest.I continued on but this time I drove past the dealer and went to Bush Power Brake Service. In less than half a day Bush reinstalled the master cylinder and properly bled the brake fluid, and in comparison they charged me a pittance.I consider that Bush Power Brake Service has a level of expertise that other brake shops dream about.I am an engineer and have never previously met anyone at Bush Power Brake Service.

I rated the shop before as a 5star because of an employee and his cust,,omer service. I've gone back for more parts. I needed some brake lines which the auto parts store no longer stock the size I needed. Bush brake makes custom length of brake lines that you need. I took the old one for size. The ones that were made are much too short and don't fit correctly.Called the owner of the business and I explained that it was too short and he said, MAKE IT FIT! As you can see that the brake line doesn't fit along the differential like the second picture which is the other side which Bush brake made even smaller by an inch instead of the one half inch as requested when I put in the order for a second brake line for the other brake line. Not very happy with the job that was done and change my rating to a one!I went back and he replaced the short brake line for the right size with no problems. Thanks for the service. I happy to have brakes again.Service: Brakes

Steve Bush is the real deal. He knows exactly what is wrong with your brakes and he jumps right into finding the solution to fix it with reasonable price. He rebuild my 1970 Datsun 240Z proposition valve due to a major leak. I got my prop valve back right away and now my Z stops right on a dime. Thank you sir Bush from a happy customer.

I came here with two completely shot brake lines that had gone obsolete and couldn't be bought and installed. Steve and crew built new brake lines for me and installed them overnight. Once that was done, they could find the original problem and they fixed that too at a discounted rate. Very knowledgeable, very trustworthy.

I talked to the guy couple days before I was going to take my 1966 Chevrolet Impala. I again called him the day before and he told me he couldn't do it that day so I'd have to bring it in the next day which I said okay no problem. So I get off work I get a ride, which is a hassle to do get time off cuz we're so short-handed at work and get a ride from nobody because everybody that work that time. So I managed to do both I get in my car because my brakes were feeling funny and I drive 20 minutes out there. So I pull up and I meet with the shop owner and he tells me that he can't do it today. After showing my frustration to him he decided to say yes leave it but didn't sound like he really wanted to and I saw that in his face. So I said well nevermind then he said yeah just bring it another day or maybe next week I wasn't cool with that. So you may be one of the best if not the best in town but his customer service totally sucks.
