Fun little place. If you go to the right, good luck trying to fit any car through the tree! Little smart cars are about the only things that can fit with ease. The drive-thru tree is hollow, so make sure to look up!If you go to the left, there's cute tree houses with stairs built inside and a drive on log.The people here are also very nice and have great respect for our veterans.

Loved it! We were driving a Toyota RAV4 and it fit with plenty of space. We went through twice, once with everyone in the car and once with everyone taking pictures of the car going thru. We had fun exploring the kids play houses ( big enough for adults too) and carved bears were fun photo opportunities. It was $15 per car with up to five people in it. Highly recommended!

It was an amazing experience, more than 3000 years old red wood trunk. There are two other tree houses , kids climb on that to the top heart shaped windows . Nice location and plenty of parking spots. There is a gift shop/rest room right next door.Price for entry: $15Ticket type: $15 per vehicle

Honestly, pretty cool experience to do in the avenue of the giants. The drive through the tree takes skill! Advanced drivers familiar with the vehicle is highly recommended. You can see scrapes along the inside of the tree from previous vehicles not aligned properly. Our 2022 Ford explorer BARELY made it through, half an inch clearance on both sides. I live for adventure and this didn't disappoint!

2 bathroom stalls, only 1 working. Does not seem like they meter who enters, so it could be very crowded with lots of people waiting to take pictures, or you could luck out and have the place to yourself. Cool souvenirs, including handmade wood containers. The best thing that is attractive about adding this place to your itinerary is the proximity to the main road. It will only add 4 to 5 minutes of drive time as you head to see other sights. Kids will love the statues, places to explore, and little houses. There is also a children's "walk-through" tree stump.

Unless you have a super tiny vehicle or a golfcart, you will not be able to drive through the tree. No clearance signs posted before payment and no human on-site to request a refund after entrance. Save your money for the gift-shops down the road. It s been 2 months and we still joke about how much of a ripoff this was! The only thing we got out of this place was a good laugh.

This is a tight Drive Thru Tree. There is a bypass but a large SUV like a Suburban, Yukon XL, Escalade ESV, Expedition, Lifted Mid-size truck like a Tacoma, Jeep Wrangler will be a tight fit. You will need a spotter for sure or if you don't mind some roof and side "pinstriping". There is parking outside of the main paying booth next to the Gift Shop. There are also additional attractions on the property to see. Enjoy!!

Many people complained about this place. I honestly don't see why. It is a delightful little area and tree, itself, is just as described. They tell you widths and heights before you enter so why complain if your vehicle doesn't fit? Ours fit, as I checked ahead of time and it was quite exciting to drive in. Look up through the top of the tree, touch the inside just by sticking your hand out the window and then driving on out. Loved it. Plus it is nature made with just a touch of help. You paid $10 per car with an optional $3 walk in

The Shrine Drive Thru Tree in Myers Flat, California, is a unique and iconic attraction nestled within the stunning Redwood forest of Northern California. What sets this particular tree apart is its sizeable hollowed-out base, which allows vehicles to pass through it. This living tunnel of ancient redwood is a remarkable sight to behold. As you approach the Shrine Drive Thru Tree, you'll be greeted by the sheer size and grandeur of this giant redwood. Driving through the tree is an exhilarating experience, and it's one of the few places where you can literally "drive through" a living tree. It's not only a fun and memorable activity but also a symbol of the harmonious coexistence of human visitors and the awe-inspiring natural surroundings. The surroundings of the Shrine Drive Thru Tree are equally captivating, with towering redwoods and lush greenery providing a peaceful and enchanting backdrop. Visitors often stop to take photos and soak in the beauty of the ancient forest. This attraction is a testament to the enduring allure of California's Redwood Country, offering a chance to experience the magic of these colossal trees up close and personal.

This is an experience for kids and adults alike. Although we have no kids with us I would say at least make a stop and live the experience. You can even drive on a log if you wish to. This place also has a gift shop if you would like to purchase souvenirs or something other than pictures to remember the Redwood forest. The prices start at $15.00 up to five passengers and add $2.00 for any additional passengers thereafter.

We enjoyed the place. The tree is very tight squeeze, we were in a minivan. They have a few other things to do as well. The chandler tree about 45 minutes away is much larger but both were cool places to visit.

Do not waste your money or time. It costs $15 to drive through a dead tree stump that is supported by cables to prevent it from falling over. Most cars will have a hard time fitting thru it as well. There is nothing else here. Spend the money elsewhere.

I came just to say I drove through a redwood but it was such a fun little stop! Ten bucks and I drove through, and then you can walk around and see some fun tree houses, and if it's not busy go back to walk through the tree! I had a fun little photo shoot with myself and was having a great time.
