Let me tell you this picture is the furthest from the truth. They tricked me into thinking I was going to get my car smogged for a good price because this sign says that they will price match. So I showed the guy prices of local shops and he immediately got very defensive about price matching and got angry! I was so confused because the sign outside literally says that they will price match. I didn t argue with him or anything because I was genuinely so uncomfortable by the way he was acting I overpaid for getting my car smogged and I left feeling robbed.

Great experience with my smog check today. I came here after reading other reviews on Google about smog places that were open on the weekends in and around Murrieta, and this the reviews were accurate. Very fast and friendly service (was in and out in about 15 minutes...I did go right when they opened on Saturday). Google maps did say they opened at 10am on Saturday, which is why I showed up well before they opened. I've included a picture of their business hours in this review for the correct hours. Will definitely use them again for future smog checks.

I actually was headed to another smog test shop with a coupon...and thought I was there, when I pulled in here by mistake. I decided to just go ahead and have the test done here. I was pleasantly surprised how fast he finished the test and his price was actually less than the coupon shop when you factor in the cost of the certificate ($8.95 included in the $38 price)...which is additional with the coupon shop. He also seemed like a very honest guy, and warned me about the scams those coupon shops pull to underwrite that low coupon price. I will definitely go back here again and have recommended him to all my friends. Thanks again, Jim

scam! Any reviews calling this owner a cheat and liar are true. Free re-test is a lie. Tries to haggle more money out of you. This place is dirty and slow and has a bad reputation, so owner is trying to extract money off the customers by any means necessary to stay afloat. There are lots of good options out there. Use them. This place looks like the cheapest, until you he tries to squeeze you for additional fees and holds your paperwork hostage. Tried to pay for my smig certificate and he tried to charge double. Wouldn't even retest without an extortion fee.

This guy Khaled Zein is very friendly. He answered all my concerns. And he is honest! He only charged $45.00. This is very cheap!We had a chance to have a small chat after he ran my smog test. He was employed by other smog/repair shop around the area. I found out he didn't want to work for them because they are dishonest. Those other shops tell their workers to make sure to fail the customers or even sabotage the cars so that the smog test fails in order to get the business to do the repairs. So he basically didn't agree with those dishonest smog/repair shop management. That's when he decided to open up his own business. To watch out for the average folks. He only does smog test!Go here instead of anywhere else! You got an honest businessman in this smog only shop!.

I have gone here my last 3 smog checks. This gentleman is very honest and friendly. It is hard for ladies to go places because I feel that most people try to cheat them. But this guy always treated me with respect and didn t make me feel dumb when I asked questions. I recommend anyone and everyone to go here. Great service!! The gentleman who helped me was very friendly and efficient. I had my 2 boys with me and he immediately greeted me & offered me a seat while he got the car. I think I was done within 15 minutes, if that. I really appreciated hows fast it was because my sons can get restless fast. I would highly recommend!

As a mechanic myself I Took my beloved s10 pickup here today 4/19 for a smog I had the best experience here I wont take my trucks any where else now not even to the place I been going to for many years now here in lake elsinore. He is super friendly and patient with his customers. He Makes you feel right at home at his place of business. His prices are extremely fair. Today this place earned my business and my entire families from here on out. thanks for the great service!

I needed a smog on Memorial Day, May 31, 2021. I called a number of places that were all closed. At about 10 minutes till 2 pm i was almost ready to quit calling but by random chance this company answered my call. I asked the hours was told he was closing. I then asked if he would wait for me. I explained I was only two exits up the 15 FWY. The owner said yes he would wait. I had not been there before and I got lost. My map app was not working. After a few calls and U turns it was 2:25 pm when I finally got there. The owner was very courteous and helpful. I would highly recommend this Star Station in Murrieta. The owner told me he has been serving the entire Temecula Valley for many years.BTW my wife s truck passed.My happy wife makes for my happy life.Thanks Smog Star test only.Service: Smog certification

My daughter and I went there with a very stubborn VW bug and were at our wit's end. We were treated so kindly and given helpful ideas and suggestions. All we really needed was patience and reassurance that everything would be fine given enough time. What we received was far above that. I honestly can't give a high enough recommendation. Honesty, Integrity, and Genuine Helpfulness is hard to find -- but it abides here for sure.

I found that station online, the best friendly guy. The owner running the place always smiling, very friendly. The price is giving in front not like other station hiding more fees. The cheapest place after I called 6 stations. I charged $38 everything included for my ford truck. I will come back here always and will tell all my relative and friends about this place. Thank u Kal for your service and smile. I wish I can give u more stars.

I went here several months ago to get my car smogged, and just took my mother to get hers done. Both cars passed, and the prices were reasonable. Very nice guy, and he is open Sundays. Would highly recommend Mr. Khaled!

The guy is very dishonest. The sign outside said $36 for vehicles 2000+, which is already a bit high. My vehicle is 2001, and my bill was $60 with no explanation why. I do not expect to have to "haggle" to get a price that was clearly advertised.Last time, I used another place and it was $45 total, with no false advertisements or haggling. Please don't support this guy. I will be reporting this to the BBB.Service: Emissions testing

We had 2 cars to get smog checks for with in a couple of days, and we took them both into smog star. The service was GREAT and he helped us really fast. We were really happy with the prices too, we'll definitely be bringing our cars in when ever we need a smog check. Thanks!!!

Needed a 35 foot motorhome smogged. Owner ran out to meet me to guide this beast into the right spot. No waiting. Smogged quickly and even gave me a discount. Great job. Negative reviews are not to be believed.

I just did my car and I was very suprized. First he tested my car to see if it passed and then checked it. It's amazing how fast he did it (10 min) and in such a good price. I have been looking for a man to do a smog check for me in a good price and I think it's this place. Also he's a very nice man.

Just had my 2000 Toyota Camry Inspected. Took 10 minutes. It passed. If you fail pass you don't pay. He was pro. 38.00 cash 40.00 credit. Go see this guy. He will not screw you and is super fast!! Go for iT!!

Wait time was minimal and the owner was very professional. I was in and out in very little time. I bought my second car back for a smog check, but on the way over, my engine light came on. He hooked up his tester and told me what the diagnostic code was and some possible causes. He told me to make sure to drive the car around a hundred miles or so after it's fixed so that it would pass smog check. He did not charge me for the visit. I researched the code and installed a new gas cap, which fixed the problem - and saved me several hundred dollars. He was very professional, I would recommend this shop, especially to those who are nervous about getting ripped off. He did not try and up sell me anything and was very helpful in resolving the problem prior to doing the actual smog check.

Wouldn't honnor the price he gave on the phone. After I show up and the rest is complete he says "that was a cash only price." I asked why he didn't just tell me before I came and he said " you should have known." He has zero integrity and zero customer service skills. I would not go back.

Worst service ever! Do not go! Guy took lady before me, even though I was there 15 mins before her. He has no change to break so make sure to bring exact change. Wants to charge your card so you have to pay fee. Had to walk all the way to ziggys just to break my 20! Do not go unless you trying to waste a good hour sitting around in his hot ass office with no A/C! Do Not Go!

Very friendly, helpful and pricing is great. HIGHLY recommend this place for fast service, Khaled actually helped me with my car and gave me suggestions to complete a couple of repairs my car actually needed, and did not charge me for that, only for my smog.

I really like this place, the technician always smiling, easy going guy. My truck passed with green flags. My frind reffered me to this place . Charged only 38 . Last time i did my smog in temecula charged 60 what a big different. Very cheap. He have pass or dpnt pay and match or beat competitor price.i recommand this place to everyone.

I have taken all my vehicles here to be smogged. They are very friendly and they take you in right away and get you smogged. Never a wait and very courteous. I enjoy the conversation while having my smog done. They are very knowledgeable. I had a vehicle that I installed a new battery in and it couldn't pass smog. They instructed me to drive it and at what speed. They are very patient and the instructions they gave me worked and my vehicle passed smogged with flying colors. I will bring all my vehicles here. I love the customer service and I am in and out quickly.. I suggest using Smog Star they are the best and very professional! They have my business FOREVER!

Because I am used to my car not needing a smog check, I failed to see until the last minute that my son's car needed one. He had to get to OC for work by noon on a Sunday, the day the registration was due. We were in a pickle. We found a location that showed on their website that they were open on Sundays at 9 AM. So he went over there to take care of this before heading to work. However, the website was incorrect and the place was closed. I called Smog Star Test Only to see how quickly they could do his test, because they showed on the website opening at 9:30. Kal answered the phone but he was not there yet because they're hours had changed to 10. However he rushed over to the location where my son was waiting and hurried and got him on his way. It really was exceptional customer service. He saved us!!!
