I ve been a raving fan and customer of Mountain View since this location opened. I left my final visit feeling like I was scammed. I don t know if ownership/management has changed, but it s no longer a shop I can trust. My vehicle was dropped off the night before for an oil change. Received a call the next morning while I was at work with a laundry list of thousand$ of problem$, including the vehicle needing new lug nuts. Yes, lug nuts. The wheels had already been removed from vehicle as part of servicing. I was told that every lug nut on the vehicle needed to be replaced (all 20), otherwise if they were forced back on that they d all need to be cut off for the next servicing. Ok, nowhere in the world does this pass a sniff test. Further I m told that each new lug nut costs $16. This seems outrageous, but I m at work in the middle of a meeting and can t drop everything to deal with a car being held hostage, so I ok the work thinking we can chat again when I pickup the car. In the meantime I learn that retail for an OEM lug nut for my car is $6 and that the aftermarket lug nuts have been marked up more than 200%. Reminder, I was told I needed 20 at a $10 mark-up each. For lug nuts. Later in the day I go in to pickup my car, try to have the conversation again, remind them I ve been a customer for 15+ years, have brought multiple vehicles there and am basically told to F-off. So I paid, and will now be F-ing off to a new shop.

Incompetent manager. My wife and I went in to purchase one tire. We were quoted $246 for 1 tire installed. And the manager claimed he had multiple tires in stock with a 2 hour wait. Turns out they did not have any tires in stock. Without telling us anything, the manager sends an employee to retrieve our single tire at their other location. After 1.5 hours I decided to watch them. With our car having not moved in that whole time. The manager, seeing me watch from outside gets the idea to approach me and inform me of the situation. Then I asked why they had the hood open for a rear tire replacement? That upset him. I definitely will not return and will inform all friends and family of this fraudulent business.

Great experience. I always take my car here and I have been taken it there for years and I have never been disappointed with their service. Would fully recommend for any car repairs need to be done.

All I wanted was for my full-size spare to be mounted, replacing the donut I had been driving on, but it turned out I needed to replace four studs for that to happen. What could have been a small headache, turned out to be just fine; the folks here gave me a very fair price and I was out quickly. I am very grateful for their kindness and help.

This place was our saving grace today, thank you Paul!! As we were driving from California heading back to Arizona we got a flat tire on the road, and on a Sunday many tire shops were closed. We called a few places and were told they wouldn t be able to get us in until end of day or tomorrow and it was around noon. We called this place and Paul was so kind in helping us over the phone double checking that they had the right tires for us to begin with, before making the trip. They were so quick to helping us out and getting us a new tire last minute before our trip back on the road. The value for the tire was good and we are just so grateful for them to take us in so quickly and get everything done in less than an hour. Thank you guys!

Extremely disappointed in the service of this store today. I'd come previously and everything ran smooth! Granted Paul at the counter wasn't the friendliest to me. Figured the job could be a lot for someone to handle sometimes. Either way, job was done so I couldn't complain. Because I had come here previously, I figured might as well get a rotation here and a brake inspection while I'm at it. Made an appointment and everything and had it confirmed over the phone that they could work on Teslas. So I come in today to an also unhappy Paul. I had said I had an appointment for an inspection and immediately cut me off to tell me they don't do inspections. Didn't even let me finish my sentence :. I told him I miscommunicated and forgot to say "brake" inspection. Maybe it was another bad day for him, just rubbed me the wrong way. So we got to completing the check in and he calls me as I'm in the car getting the key to tell me that they actually don't do brake inspections on Teslas. I 100% understand and am willing to abide by policies, however the miscommunication within this store was extremely disappointing. I was told by Ossie (not sure how to spell his name) who had asked a technician once I called, that this was something they were able to do. I ended up cancelling my appointment for the day, even though I really could've used a rotation. I hope communication gets better at this location and Paul at the counter finds some happiness in life. Until then, I will not be returning to Mountainview.

I know it can be hard to decide where to take your car, but I promise you, there is no need to look any further because this place is 1000% percent legit! I was driving and the engine started knocking and this place was the closest mechanic. I called them up and said I was down the street and they said bring it on in. I got there in 5 minutes. They came out and immediately started assesing the vehicle.They did a diagnostic and found out that the alternator and belt needed to be replaced. Their work was fast - same day service and completion - they did an amazing job and provided excellent customer service the entire time. I got the car back with a new alternator within hours and it drives like brand new again!If you want fast, efficient, high standards, and complete auto care, this is the best great place to go! I can't thank them enough! I highly reccomend Mountain View Tire and Auto Service!Ps. They even provided a military discount because they support the troops!

I knew that it was a high priced center that generated high repair costs for customers when I saw financing options front and center. I often use Mountainview centers for repairs....so I tried this one. My oil change and inspection was more than the dealership! .....and the other Mountainview locations..even with military and AAA discount. They found that I needed over $700 in work based on "mileage " . The staff were not friendly and I asked for a reminder sticker for my next oil change and that did not happen. I will not be using this center again.

Very disappointed with a simple coolant flush. I checked the coolant reservoir when I got home and found out it was empty! I called Paul & told me that they put Preston coolant but when I came back to top it off, the mechanic put a cheap color orange container coolant. My concern was, they did a lousy no quality service. Can you imagine driving for with an empty coolant reservoir? Don't recommend this shop at all.

Great fast service. I had a noise coming from my brakes after I changed them myself the day before. Went in without an appointment to get a second opinion on what to do about it and got fast service right away. I was only there for 20 mins and they told me what was wrong. Took my car home did what they suggested and solved the issue completely. Great experience and happy to leave a good review.

Came in for an alignment on my jeep told him the track bars need to be adjusted because the axle is not centered. They said not a problem after taking a half a day off of work because they don t take customers after 4 o clock. The guy was done with my jeep in less than 30 minutes cost $130 which they did not charge me I told the gentleman that he did not touch my track bar which was what I came in for. He said, let me let you talk to the tech instead of talking to him his self after speaking with the tech, he was back inside on his phone sitting down in the lounge, he came over and handed me my keys turn around, got back on his phone and sit down said we re not gonna charge you didn t even look me in the eye. Actually, he said it with his back turn towards me. Which is funny because they re the ones that wasted my time I told them before they started the alignment what I wanted, and he acted disappointed because they were not able to complete the service. No sorry no nothing not even a recommendation for another shop to take it to.

Great place. The owner the mechanics the staff, everyone just wonder. It is very hard to find honest mechanics these days. I was so glad to find these guys, they took care of me and have a customer for life. I will always come to them. Definitely recommend this shop.

Today was quite a hilarious experience but I did actually appreciate the manager s honesty. He said that even though you make an appointment to get work done it is a first come first serve basis. He also said if I wanted the work done promptly that I should take my car to Valvoline. My experience here felt like a Curb your enthusiasm episode! That they also need more then two hours in order to do a simple oil change even with the notice of an appointment. This place didn t need its work to speak for itself, the manager let me know ahead of time. Thank you Mountain View manger.

Ozzy was fantastic! Had an issue with our skid plate and he took care of it. It's Sunday and they had a small crew on. He was Manager-in -charge and once they realized the other job that they were working on would take longer he decided to do it himself to get us back on the road. Mad props to Ozzy. Thanks so much guys!

I love the boys at Mountian View Tire (Clinton Keith location). They never disappoint, and I always get exceptional service. I'm a frequent flyer to getting flat tires and they always take the best care of me. They are thorough and fast at getting me back on the road. 10/10 would recommend to my closest family and friends.

Dropped my car off with no appointment for a new battery and was surprised when they called to tell me it was done only 2 1/2 hours later. I expected it to take all day with no appt and the day after a long holiday weekend, but they were very fast. Paul, the guy who helped me at the counter, was very upfront with cost and made the overall experience quick and painless.

I wish I could rate this place with a zero. Took my car in for the serpentine belt and tensioner to be replaced. They called and said it was only the belt that needed replacement. Turned out the tensioner needed replacement as I requested at the beginning. They damaged the tensioner so I had to take it in again. They damaged the engine cover and imply it was already broken. Manager says they would order a replacement but a month has gone by with nothing. 3/1/23: belt squealing again. Advised to drop car off early the next morning. Take the car in early but no one is there. Keep calling but no answer. I have called for over an hour but got no answer.How they've got more than a 4 star rating is beyond me. My advice is to go somewhere, anywhere else. I'm opening a complaint with the BAR and the BBB on this facility.Update: It's September 20th, never received a response about the engine cover replacement.

I had my Honda element serviced for a master clutch and slave cylinder and brought my own parts to be placed in. The job was done horribly. The car lasted me 6 months before it needed the SAME parts removed. On top of it, come to find out they didn't even use the parts I brought and swapped them out for cheaper parts. I DO NOT recommend this place at all.

Highly recommend this location for your auto/tire repairs. Alan and Leroy helped me tremendously last weekend with a nail in my back right tire and yet again one week later with my left tire. Purchased 4 new tires with them, and I am so grateful for all their help. They will be my go to tire shop from here on.

On 6/18/2020, I had tire issues. I called a competitor and drove to that place of business with a last minute appointment. However, they got slammed so I called Mountain View Tires and talked with Rick. He said he could get me in and back on the road for a appointment I had in San Diego even though it was last minute. True to his word, Rick and his staff got me back on the road. I made it to my appointment with 15 minutes to spare. Rick and the staff at this location understand customer service. Thank you for your hard work, dedication to providing speedy work, and truly caring about clients. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

We've been taking both of our vehicles here for years, from everything from tires and brakes to a new transmission. All times the staff was knowledgeable, service was done well and prices are fair. They make every effort to keep their customers happy and to ensure the job was done to our satisfaction. We will continue to bring our cars here and I highly recommend!

Always pleasant and honest when dealing with me. I originally came to this store from another Mountain View Tire Shop solely based on the management reviews. I've not been disappointed since. They understand that some are capable of working on their own vehicles (particularly front and rear breaks, changing filters and the like) and are willing to just give you their findings to let you handle it. Hard to find out there in a cutthroat environment of tire shops. Very satisfied!

I would give 5/5 stars if only they didn't shoot all four of my tires with a nail gun as soon as the cars wheels touched the ground from the jack. They forced me to buy a complete set of new tires, and if I didn't they would tow the car from the garage. At least they gave me free water.
