Only 1 star because I couldn't leave a negative star. I took my truck in there 12-12-23 just to diagnose an oil leak. Truck sat there all week, brought it back on the 18th, sat there until the 20th, they finally put it up on the rack and decided they didn't want to pull the protective covers off because it was raining. So when I went to pick it up that day, the very bright David at the counter let me know I was low on oil. (I brought it in for an oil leak). He told me bring it back after the holiday, I brought it back 12-26-23, sat all day, when I went to talk to him at 2:30pm same day he informed me I was next on the list, brought it back 12-27-23 still nothing. I do not recommend The Country Car Doctor plus multiple people have warned me about being over priced, glad I didn't stick around to find out.

Big thanks to David and the crew at The Car Doctor. I had a very difficult to diagnose clunk in my Miata that another mechanic had given up on. The guys spent days trying to track down the clunk, which they eventually found involved some aftermarket suspension parts another shop had installed on the car. The car is back up and running with no clunk and the bill did not reflect the number of hours they spent on it, I'm sure. Thanks Car Doctor!

Paid to have an inspection on a car I was buying and they failed to tell me the Radiator had a bunch of STOP Leak in it. I'd like to add the guy who was selling the car worked there. Dishonest.

Can't say enough on how great they were. We were traveling through and had a problem with the brakes on our truck. I called them to see if there was any chance they could look at the truck. Even though they were short staffed because someone was sick, they said to come on by. We got there a few minutes later and they had us wait in their lounge. The mechanic got to our truck next, found we had lost a bolt to our brake caliper. While they didn't have the exact bolt, they had one that would work fine. All in all we were there a little over an hour, they charged us $101 for 40 minutes and a bolt and sent us on our way home. They were pleasant, courteous, professional, and most of all efficient. If we lived in the area they would be our mechanic for life.

David and crew did a fantastic job diagnosing our issue with our 2008 Nissan Xterra. Suddenly lost power, brakes, steering going down a hill.We were worried we would be stuck as we are only here for the summer and drove across country to stay at our cabin in Arnold. The guys fixed us up in a couple days and went the extra mile by installing a fuse bypass so if it happens again we can replace it easily while on the road! Yeah guys- you rock!

This is a solid shop- honest, helpful, and knowledgeable. I took my truck in because DMV said I needed a smog check. Rather than just do the work, they explained that DMV made a mistake and thereby saved me a lot of of money and hassle. Respect!

Does anyone know how to reach David or the owner? I have the cash to get my car out, but no one is checking messages or returning calls during the blackout. I have a friend driving me up TODAY from Modesto to get my car. We'll be out front by 1:30PM, or earlier if possible. I'll leave a note on the door with my phone number, if they can just come by and get it, call me, and exchange cash for keys (and car), then I can be wheels up again.

From cars to R.V."s and everything in between, always great Service. Complete parts department, they take the time finding the right part (even if it is $13 sale). Knowledgeable, popular with locals, reasonable prices, trust worthy, timely repairs, close to Main Street. I love that they explain their pricing which is always fair....

Stopping by to leave off cupcakes for the hard working crew at the Car Doctor. Not only good service, but they have Propane, RV parts, car parts. And an oil dump station.

Place was great in and out let me pay for it over the phone so a friend was able to pick it up over all very satisfied with there work thanks guys at car doctor i appreciate it

Expensive. $130 to smog a 21ft motorhome. Next time I drive to Sonora. $85 there.
