I came here last year for my annual oil change as I have an older model ford and the staff are very friendly, fast and knowledgeable. Will be returning soon for my next scheduled oil change and for my low tire pressure light to check my tires. Overall great place!!! Also reasonably priced and convenient location near my apartment

Eh. They left some oil inside my car on the cup holder, feels a bit sloppy. I had to wait for a part they said they had already ordered the night before when I got turned away after waiting for half an hour while they left my car running. But they did the oil change, it was relatively quick. The staff are nice and they take time to explain things.my recommendation is to come before 4pm or call ahead to make sure they have the right filters and oil if you re getting a change, not having the right parts seemed to be an issue with multiple customers getting an oil change when I was there.

Fantastic experience at The Jiffy lube at the intersection of Miramonte Ave and El Camino Real. Very efficient, trustworthy, good advice. They are not trying to make extra money by recommending unnecessary products and services. They said they did a bunch of stuff to my car they didn t do? Like there s a paper verifying that they filled my tires and checked for fluids and leaks and such and they definitely did not

Really bad service on the phone and in person. But they really want to up sell you. Make sure they accept the coupons if you have them before committing to the service.

This is a hard review to write, because I like the staff at the Mountain View Jiffy Lube, but find the franchise's practices and the quality of fluids they use questionable and not uniform to OEM standards. I worked at another garage doing fluid changes before and thought it would be a straight forward process. Overall, it was not a smooth experience and not transparent. I am leaving a 2 star review as "could be better" due to my personal experiences here.Strike 1: I went in for a coolant change (drain and fill). The two gentlemen I dealt with called the service two different things; one called it a "drain and fill" before the service another called it a "coolant flush" after the service. This is confusing as one is a drain an fill, while the other drains, flushes the radiator with a cleaner fluid, and then refills the system with the correct coolant. It's a different service entirely (and the costs should be different) and the fact that they misrepresented what was done is concerning to the customer and tells me that the team is not on the same page.Strike 2: When I picked up my car I noticed that the new coolant was yellow, while the correct coolant color should be pink/purple. They never contacted me or made it sound like they made sure this was the correct coolant to put in. The wrong coolant can cost hundreds, if not thousands of dollars down the line due to corrosion and failed water pumps and seals. They did not talk to me about it; I actually had to ask. To which they said they didn't know what fluid or brand the coolant was. This shocked me, because if you don't know what brand or coolant type you put in how do you know if it was 1) the correct type or 2) when to replace the fluid next time? For all I know they could have put red bull in my coolant. The brand they said they used was no where to be found online and I have no idea how to verify if they put the correct coolant in my radiator. All I know if that my radiator coolant temperature is fine, but I don't know if the anti-corrosion additive package meets OEM standards or voids my warranty, because no one can 100% tell me what was put in it.Strike 3: When refilling coolant you have to turn the heat on high and have the engine running, so the new coolant goes to the car's cabin heater core that was previously drained. The coolant system is connected to the cabin heater core, which warms the cabin air in cold weather. I know this because I was a mechanic in a past life. The moment I turned on the heat to high and full blast, my low coolant light goes off like a Christmas tree! I tested the work and it was not done thoroughly. I was furious, because my engine started to overheat, so I drove back slowly to get it checked out.The were surprised to see me so soon (literally after 25 minutes). I told them that they have to turn on the heat to cycle the new fluid into the heater core, because it is now empty space that was drained of the old coolant. They topped me up and sent me on my way. Everything from a temperature perspective seems fine, but I don't think they used the correct or high quality coolant.The result is I saved a little bit compared to the dealer, but I have no idea if the correct "universal" fluid was put in or how the quality if the fluid is. For all I know it could be Nesquik.From a former blue collar worker to another, I am writing a nice and honest review. They need to standardize what they call different services (as it can be misleading), know what they are putting into your vehicles (to know quality and service intervals), and do the services the right way, so we are not left stranded on the road or with a huge bill in a few years.

Literally the worst experience ever. Don t even bother going here unless you want your car to be messed up. Literally left my car without filter because of their workers CARELESS mistakes then when the manger put back my filters AFTER driving back here they didn t even put them in right. Went in for an oil change and was told they didn t have my 016 oil but had 020. I asked if it would cause damage to my car using 020 and they said it s fine for this time but my next oil change I would need to go to 016, so there served no point in changing my oil. Literally this place was a nightmare to go to and what kind of training is going on if they are literally stealing car parts.Service: Oil change

So my battery died half a block away from this shop, which I d never been to. After a quick call to confirm they carried car batteries, I sauntered over there to buy a battery. I also politely asked to borrow a few tools and offered to leave my credit card as collateral. They did me one better, and a tech drove me over to my car and replaced the battery for me. Now that s what I call excellent service! Lol.

I came to this location in Mountain View after going to the Wheel Works close by and getting a quote that was almost $1,000. I went to Jiffy Lube and got a price match for each service and they were a 3rd of the cost. They were so nice and explained everything to me. They gave me discount as it was before the holidays. I will DEFINITELY be using Jiffy Lube again in the future.I am going to say that the entire team is professional and welcoming, but I would like to point out 1 person in particular who went out of his way to help my husband and I, Justin. This is the first time I go to JiffyLube. I decided to choose JL after quoting a few mechanics nearby and JL is undoubtedly the lowest. Some of the other offers I got are almost double the price.The work is done on time and the staff are all friendly professionals.I will definitely seek help from JL first next time.

Went in for a oil change. They mentioned my headlight was out, which I thought was weird due to me changing my own headlights only 3 months ago and my headlights working fine that morning. I go buy a new headlight and when I went to change it there was no headlight bulb in my car.Just ridiculous

Although the synthetic oil option is pricey at $95, vs $45 for the standard option, I went for it this time. I arrived an hour before closing on a Thursday night and no other customers were there. I got seen immediately and the service took only about 10-15 min. The people were polite as well.

Long wait, glove box paperwork scattered, and poor installation of cabin/engine air filters. My car went straight into the bay when I arrived and the oil change still took over an hour. I do the air filters myself since they upcharge $75+ for a 10 minute job. They pull them every time anyway. This time they lost my cabin air filter screw and forgot to screw the engine air filter cover back on. Now when checking out they also tell everyone that there are signs of an oil leak which they did to me and two others while I was sitting there. When I got back into my car everything from my glovebox was also scattered on my passenger seat. Odd seeing as there is no reason to even open the glove box. Could have been a bad day for the staff or new people in training, but three red flags = a review worth posting.Service: Oil change

Don't go here. We went for a simple belt replacement (on September 12th), and when they were done, the check engine light was on. They said it has nothing to do with their work; took no responsibility. A real auto shop told us that their work caused the problem. Now our car is grounded, our plans for the week destroyed, and we expect $$$$ in charges fixing the car. Unbelievable that such a place is allowed to do business.

Justin changed my headlight and wiper blades quickly. I was in and out in about half an hour with no appointment. When I arrived, someone greeted me immediately and said it would take 5-10 minutes to take an estimate, and then Justin came over, took my information, had me sign the estimate, and fixed the problems.

Do not come to this place! unless you want them to break your car.We came here to do a simple serpentine belt replacement, and came out with a check engine light. Young employees have zero experience in anything beyond an oil change. While changing the belt they opened the crank pulley and messed up the car and now we are going to sue them for the hundreds of dollars in repair that we have as a result of this simple visit.
