I do not recommend this business!Following is my letter to State Farm regarding my experience with Autobahn Repair ShopHi!I just wanted to share my experience with you that I had with Autobahn Collision Repair in Mountain View. They are on your list of recommended repair shops and so being are supposed to work directly with State Farm regarding claims.I called to get an estimate and had to wait a week and a half before I could get an appointment. That appointment was only for the estimate. I would be required to come again to Autobahn if I chose to have them do the repairs.I received an email from Autobahn with the estimate, and I had assumed since they knew it was an insurance claim, that they would send the estimate to State Farm. After one week I decided to follow up with State Farm who explained that they had not received an estimate from Autobahn and that State Farm had indeed sent an email to them with a link that they could submit the estimate for repair.So I called Autobahn and explained that State Farm had not yet received the estimate. The gentleman I spoke to said, No. You have to sign the approval for the estimate. To which I replied that no, since it is an insurance claim, he needs to submit the estimate to State Farm. He became angry and said, NO! I don t have to call them! They have to call me! To which I said I will find a different repair shop to which he replied in the same unkind, un-polite manner, Fine with me! I have always had excellent service from State Farm since I have been insured with them for 50+ years.In my opinion, Autobahn motors should not be on your recommended list for repairs.

Could not be more pleased with the service here. Kept track of me even during a long wait for the part. Clear and concise information and outline of what was to be done. Would use them again next time we need any service they offer.

The workers were not so nice the whole time when trying to get the repair done, once finished they rudely insisted I had to pick up the car that same day even though I was unable too, afterward when I go pick up my car the rear bumper was not even aligned correctly, and my car battery was dead, over all bad experience I d hope they treat future customers better even if it s insurance work they re still getting paid for the work so every customer should be treated equally.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I am extremely satisfied with the excellent quality of work done here (paintwork and installing new parts). I had a minor damage on my bumper cover. They were able to fix the issue in the specified time even with difficulty in sourcing the parts due to the shortage. They worked directly with my insurance with no effort from my side. The staff here is very personable in demeanor and professional in their work (I worked with Jaswal and Peter). Would highly recommend their services.Service: Body & Trim

So I never ever do reviews but These guys are truly amazing! I got into a fender bender on New Year s Eve & with the ongoing shortage of car parts I was worried when I could get my car repaired. After doing some research and sorting through the reviews I gave these guys a call for an estimate and literally the whole thing from then on was super easy !Peter was great from the start being very transparent with me on the whole process, the overall damage , parts etc. and giving me a realistic timeline of when I should drop off my car!Honestly they finished the car in little over a week and I couldn t be happier - it s looks brand new!Thank you again guys for such an amazing service!Services: Tires, Painting, Body & Trim

I would like to give a huge shout out and thank you to Autobahn Body & Paint. I'm not one that leaves many reviews but I do so when something is exceptional that warrants it. I have been an automotive technician for forty years now. One of my areas of expertise is doing used vehicle inspections; along with the mechanical soundness of the vehicle, it also includes looking for exterior flaws in paint and or body repair. To match a car's paint color, texture and sheen on cars with "pearl" paint is not easy to do. My wife and I picked up her car on Friday and it was absolutely perfect. I am a very picky person and was so afraid of how it would turn out. The work at Autobahn was absolutely flawless. I want to extend a huge thank you to Jaswal, Peter and the entire staff at Autobahn for their craftsmanship in their work, and the fine care they took of my car. I walked away with a huge smile because not only did the car turn out perfect, they were under budget too!In addition, I was having a little trouble dealing with my insurance company and Peter said they are on the "list"with that particular firm and would work directly with them. He advised me to drop it off and they would take care of the rest. The work began later that day.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

My car was hit in the back by someone who should not have been driving. Peter and the team at Autobahn truly went above and beyond to restore my Prius to it's original condition. Additionally, they helped deal with insurance and the car rental place. Thank you! I have been coming to them so often lately, I should have a frequent customer card! They fixed up my car at a great price, and are very ethical. Really fast, friendly work. I've taken both my car, and my ex husband's car here, and we've always been really pleased with their work.

Had some front bumper damage on my 2016 BMW M4 Convertible when I ran into road debris while driving down the highway. Paint on the front bumper was scraped/scuffed, and one of the front parking sensors was driven deep into the bumper. The initial virtual insurance estimate underestimated the amount of damage, but Peter worked with my insurance company and got it all straightened out. Autobahn had to pull the bumper off to both repair the parking sensor and repaint the bumper. When I picked up the car, the front bumper looked great! I m very happy with how the repairs turned out and will use Autobahn again if the need arises.

Had an unfortunate dent directly on my driver side door. Was referred here by my usual service shop, as well as family that've had work done here too. Spoke to Peter and he was very helpful and timely for the inspection, and scheduling for the repair itself (so it was convenient for me). They also have a lot of experience with State Farm insurance so it was a breeze to get everything approved and then fixed. 100% would come here again for future body work.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I am very impressed by the quality of work, attention to detail and careful listening to what is needed. Both Mr. Bagel Jaswal and his manager Peter are perfect "listeners" and deliver an excellent job which is always on time. Due to the flawless work done, I never had to pay a cent for my lease returns.Simply put, this shop is a Class Act!!!

I have been using this place for some years . The people here are courteous, friendly and professional. They have consistently done a great job on my cars. One reason I strongly recommend this place is because they work for me and not the insurance companies. In a recent incident where my car was burglarized, in which a window was broken, they really rough with the insurance company to get an OEM glass rather than an after-market glass

I wanted to give this place a try based on the excellent reviews on yelp. I guess sometimes these reviews can be misleading.My experience with the owner here was completely contrary to what the reviews will make you believe. The customer service, or rather lack there of was extremely surprising. Rude, inconsiderate and dismissive are some of the adjectives that I can use if I am trying to be polite.I would like to point out that you can excuse the lack of customer service if the owner/workers are honest. However, I was lied to over the phone about quote appointment and estimated time it would take to get the car fixed. The owner flat out denied things he had said over the phone and went back on his word completely. Going as far as saying "I don't know what I say over the phone".How can you trust this business with your car when they can't even stay honest with the appointment timings etc. Steer clear (no pun intended).

They care!!I had caused a damage on a private rental car and needed an estimate. Mr. Joslin helped me right away even if a) they were clearly very busy, b) I was not the car owner (he found a way to work around that) and c) they generally want appointments for estimates.He prepared a very professional and transparent document, making sure to differentiate between new and pre-existing damage on the same car part so I wouldn't be paying too much. All this while he was not expecting the car owner to actually give him the repair job. ''I can see this is just one of these situations..'' he stated and didn't want anything for his service.

This is an overdue review for the best auto repair I ve EVER experienced. They fixed my bumper from a backing accident which was a huge ordeal to handle. My auto insurance was less than responsive but that s a separate issue. Autobahn handled it seamlessly for me. If you ve got a luxury & albeit pain in the butt car like me (I ve got a MINI Clubman S 2017), do come here! Another plus, they won t con you just because you re female. AND they give you leftover paint?!!! Who does this?!Service: Body & Trim
