Epic Auto has to be on the most trust worthy shops in the Bay Area. I drive my classic cars 90 miles one way just to have them serviced, because I wouldn t trust anyone else. Allen + Letty Treat you with respect and like family.

Allen is a great mechanic and loves working on classic cars and reasonably priced he has taken care of my 55 Chevy Belair and does excellent work thanks Al for all your help and work on my sweet scooter

I brought my car in for breaks. For months I've felt like my breaks needed to be serviced. Upon checking my breaks, Allen said I still had 40% padding. I was baffled. He gave me an explanation of why my breaks may feel low or loose (cheap breaks). Gave me the option of keeping or replacing my breaks. They said they didn't want to charge me for unnecessary work. However, I decided to just get them done because I wanted better breaks.I liked that he explained it to me in terms I could understand. And I like that they were honest with me instead of just doing the work without consulting me. Cause that can happen.I'll be returning for more services in the future.

Do not! I repeat do not! Go to Epic Auto Repair on Monterey road by Taco Bell. Our family has been so nice to them and tried to support that family since they were new to town last year. Last oil change they way over tightened the filter so neither myself or other shops could remove it. I called them back to ask if they could loosen the problem and they started accusing us of going elsewhere and claiming false claims of mileage on their records. Unfortunately for them I kept my service receipt and caught them with their foot in mouth, 11 000 since last oil change with them. Toyota vehicle with full synthetic can get oil changed every 10,000 miles. Then she said that it wasn t their problem but would happily charge us to loosen the filter. Then threatened to publicly share my information to make me go away. Rude and disrespectful! Funny thing is I posted this to the Morgan Hill Community group and over 10 people have had similar and terrible encounters with them . Now you know.

If you own a high-end BMW, do not take your car here for service!� As other reviewers have already mentioned, they do not stand by their work.I paid over 7K to have my engine timing chain fixed, plus a few other things Allen recommended since they were already working on my engine.� They had my car for over 6 weeks.� I was eventually was told my car was ready for pick up, and days later, when i picked it up, they were test driving my car for the 1st time! Who does that...The Mechanic (test driving my car) tells the owners that my check engine light went on.� So they just cleared the codes. Allen then says, well you car just had major open heart surgery, so the car is just getting reacclimated. Do not worry, it wont break down on you.I drove less than 15 minutes on 101 before I was forced to pull over on the side of the highway due to my engine overheating.This is the only shop I have ever been to where my car broke down minutes after picking it up from being repaired!I also told them that as soon as I got my car back a week later, my car was ideling incorrectly and was leaking large amounts of oil. My car has never leaked that much oil before.� They then told me that those issues were from nothing they did, and my car was running perfectly when I got it back.Took my car back for them to address those issues, and only to be told that my engine timing chain warranty is now voided. They didn't even attempt to fix anything. It took them 5 business days to come to that conclusion. Never communicated that to me until I went to pick up my car.From the time they attempted, the initial repair was December, and it's now April. I haven't even put a 1,000 miles on my car during this time.Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

Epic Auto Repair service has been a trusted family business that have serviced my family s cars. I recently Took my Jeep Wrangler YJ in for some repairs. Allen + Letty were more the accommodating for any questions and concerns I had, on the repairs being done. They were very efficient and quick. They were more reasonably priced compared to other Auto shops in the area. I ll definitely be coming back to Epic Auto in the future for any Repairs.

Allen is a very experienced mechanic who communicates well with customers. I have had my BMW M3 worked on by Allen and his staff from oil changes to carbon fiber installation. He has a passion for cars, and it shows!

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. First I asked for a quote on the phone for an oil change. I was provided total cost of $107 for 6quarts (already on the high side). In person however, I was billed $111. Then I tried using my Groupon, which was expired, but clearly states: Epic Auto RepairFull Synthetic Oil ChangeThe promotional period for your deal "Full Synthetic Oil Change" ends on July 5, 2023. The amount paid ($45.00) will never expire and may be applied toward the original goods or services specified on this voucher.Before going in, I confirmed with Groupon that even though it had expired, the merchant still had to credit the amount that I actually paid for the Groupon ($45) and that I would be forfeiting the benefit amount only. Groupon said yes, because the merchant had already been paid for the Groupon (once it was purchased). I asked them if we could call Groupon together. They refused. So, not only did the owners refuse to honor the pre-paid price I spent on the Groupon ($45) that should have been credited towards the bill, but they threatened to call the cops if I did not pay the amount in full. Since they had my keys hostage and I was already late to pick up my daughter, I had no choice. Then I paid them $115 and they refused to provide me my $4 change. When I asked for my change they stated I still owed them and refused to count the money in front of me on the counter. Really?! Who does that?? I have a large family - none of us will ever bring them business. So essentially I paid Epic Auto Repair $164 for an oil change!!! I had no choice since they were holding my keys hostage. This place is an EPIC FAIL. Hope the lack of integrity from keeping my $53 ($45 for what I paid for their Groupon, $4.XX they stole from me when they refused to provide my change, and the $4 they overcharged me between the time I called for the total cost and I arrived in person: 2 hours later) was worth the loss of multiple oil changes by me and my family for years to come.

I went into Epic Auto Care with a check engine light with a failed smog! Can you say beyond stressful! I had already taken my car to two other shops which could not figure out the issue! Allen is a savior and was able to fix the issue and I was able to pass smog!The work and service was outstanding, prompt and way beyond what could reasonably be expected. As occasions arise, I will not hesitate to recommend Allen at Epic Auto Care! Thank you for the time and attention which was spent on my vehicle. To start off, I would give ZERO stars if possible! As a local business owner, we pride ourselves on customer service and being kind to people. As the lady said it herself, she's "The Owner", is completely rude, talks over you & has an attitude. After her agreeing to a price, she then calls our office to ask for a "First Time User Discount". When she was denied, she asked to speak to the owner. She was still denied the discount. She wouldn't allow me to explain anything to her and proceeded to tell me "Do you know who I am? Look me up!" Then hung up. Way to do business with another business!

Epic has been my "goto" shop as it's local to me, inexpensive and friendly. I have had my 2010 Ford Transit Connect, 2011 Prius, and my 2001 Ford F-250 diesel serviced by Epic Auto Repair and have not been disappointed. As you can see my vehicles run the gamut of automotive technology and Epic never took longer than they estimated, or cost more. Highly don t recommend this place!! Back in July 23 I took my civic in for an A/C check, they said it would need new compressor, etc and would cost over $1300. I didn t make the repairs at that time but they still charged my card $140 for the inspection/diagnosis (which was explained prior and was ok, of course).Fast-forward to October 2023, I bring in the same vehicle for a new starter installation. The front desk lady says it ll be $732. I approve and they do the repair, when I return to pay, I also pay with a card but once I look at my statement later that evening, I realize the lady charged me $762! So I call back the following day to hopefully get it corrected and the same lady says we have a sign on the front desk that says there s a processing fee applied to every card payment I recall seeing the sign but I figured the processing fee was the standard 2-5 bucks but nope. She says the fee is 3.8% and basically the extra 30 bucks is rightfully their s.I explain to her that I m disappointed and I reminded her that she didn t even mention the FINAL total price BEFORE she took my payment and that I feel like I don t want to give them my business anymore in the future. And the woman rudely replied ok that s fine, bye and hung up.If I had known outright beforehand that I would be charged an 30 bucks just to pay them the agreed upon amount, then I would ve paid differently. The woman gave me a letter-sized printout receipt that stated the $732 total RIGHT before charging me $762 and she NEVER said the difference in totals.Also, when she charged me $140 on my card for the A/C inspection, it was a flat $140 charge (no additional fees)! But NOW that she s adding a couple dozen extra buck$, she doesn t feel the need to let her customers know the exact amount before she happily takes your money.Shady practices here, while the work is done seemingly fine, I ll never return to this place. I ve been going here since it was Precision and was happy with their work for the most part, but she needlessly lost an ongoing customer in a 30 second phone call.Look elsewhere

Awesome shop. Allen replaced my entire engine and did a great job. It was a huge job, the whole front end had to come off. He got it in, performed tests, and retested until all the seals and valves were properly functioning. Allen and Letty were so generous in supporting my Foster the City event I brought my car into them for it's repair. I dropped off my car the night before and now it has a new thermostat housing in time for summer! They are personable organized and have a clean waiting area next to the charming downtown Morgan Hill.

I just had the best experience with Epic and wanted to share. Epic replaced our oil pan at the end of last year. Some how the dipstick was damaged in the process. When I brought this to the attention of the team a new dip stick was immediately ordered. A day and a half later I had a new stick and they even topped off my oil for good measure. Hey folks. Allen, the owner, knows his stuff. I've taken my Ford Explorer here, and my Ford focus (oh and my Ford Ranger). Over the last 11 years, since I've lived here, Allen has been my number 1 go to guy for all things auto! He and his team are quick to diagnose, and quick to fix everything I ever need. I even brought my mom's Saturn suv to him, because the quality of the work and the efficiency, combined with the super customer service are top notch. And it doesn't stop there. Allen has many clients with incredibly high end luxury and or performance cars and they trust only him to repair and even modify their rides. Allen builds and races race cars, for goodness sake!!! This man KNOWS his stuff, top to bottom. They did a great work reparing my old Alfa Romeo engine and the Mercedes 600 SEL. I'm very happy with the price as well. They worked during weekend to have my cars ready. If I could give this auto repair shop a ZERO star, I would just because of their customer service. To be fair, they didn t have a chance to preform the actual service so I can t comment on that part. However as I normally always do, I arrived a little bit early just to be on the safe side. As soon as we walked into the office, I went up to the front desk to check in since I was a little early and get all the paperwork going since I purchased a Groupon oil change. The front lady immediately was extremely rude about me just speaking to her. I ignored her initial rudeness and just thought she was having a bad morning. She finally gets my paperwork going asking for my voucher, address and all the vehicle information. She told me my car would take a cartridge filter instead of a spin-on filter and that it would be additional money. I am not cheap in any way, I love a good bargain but I am not dumb either. I ve done work on my vehicle before (not a professional but I ve changed tiny things) and I know for a fact that it takes a spin on style oil filter.She proceeds to print a invoice, gives it to me and tells me to sign. I looked over the invoice and asked her why she was charging me for a different type of filter. She went on about once the mechanic gets under, he will verify and the charge will be taken off. I told her that sounded fair, however it didn t make sense for me to sign this invoice; where I m required to pay a certain amount, if the filter had not been verified yet. She SLAMMED her hand on the table and demanded me to sign the invoice. We was so shocked and kindly told her that I would be taking my business elsewhere. She then yelled FINE, GO, GOOD. I was so confused why a business would have someone with that sort of customer service up on the front desk.YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.I thought their Groupon $40.99 Full Synthetic Oil Change was a really good deal but after seeing their customer service alone, you get what you pay for.I ended up paying a little over double at Gilroy Lube Auto Repair but was incredibly satisfied with their whole service from the very beginning to the end.DO NOT RECOMMEND AND WOULD NEVER RETURN.Lesson learned.Service: Oil change

Excellent service. Friendly. The staff and owner will go beyond to accommodate and provide a service you will be happy with. I came in for oil change. It was done professionally and an engine light came on. The staff without any issues decided to troubleshoot my problem. Thank you Epic.
