The room was not clean. The sheets and towels had stains and dirt marks. The headboard had grease marks. The pillows were disgusting inside the pillowcases.The room was falling apart (the toilet was making noise all night among other issues), and there was a chemical smell in the room.Was so uncomfortable I hardly got any sleep and couldn t wait to get out of there the next morning.

AMAZING location, 1 min walk to the mall. Great service, the staff and owners are extremely friendly and helpful! Very clean rooms, the A/C and heater are AMAZING, the shower is AMAZING ! And they have housekeeping to clean the rooms EVERYDAY. I fly to Monterey once a month and this is my spot !! Me and my husband LOVE IT ! 5 stars all the way for everythingRooms: Very quiet and super cleanNearby activities: Mall and so much storesSafety: Very very safeWalkability: 1 min walk to the mall

Had an excellent three day mini vacation at this hotel. Great customer service, very clean room and good location across the street from Del Monte Shopping center. Only minor issue we had was on the first night some guests next door to us were being extremely loud. One lady was literally talking and creaming on her cellphone right outside our room door. My husband stepped out and as soon as she saw my husband she went inside her room. But then continued with the loud noises to the point we couldn't sleep, it was 11:30 pm when this incident took place . My next step was to get out of bed walked to the office to talk to someone about the loud guests and the receptionist handled our issue with these particular guest in a very polite manner. This incident won't stop us from staying here again, we will definitely book at this hotel again. I understand that guest come and go into the hotels at any given time, but let's also be considerate of other guests.

Rodeway Inn is an overall great place to stay. The front desk is very confident and the staff is nice and friendly. They are very accommodating. The location is great! It is located right across from Del Monte Center, a mall where there are many restaurants a Macy's, a Rite Aid, and a Whole Foods. My husband had a lengthy stay at the nearby hospital and the front desk was very accommodating to my changing needs for a room. The hotel is also pet friendly which is wonderful since I was traveling with my Labrador Retriever. They conveniently have a great area with picnic tables, and outdoor fireplace as well as a poop bag station. The staff didn't even mind that when I return my rental car I had to hang out near the picnic area with all my bags for a few hours. I definitely recommend this hotel not just because it's a great value but also because it just overall has a good feeling and mostly because the staff is nice and sweet. Thank you Rodeway Inn for being there during a difficult time of my life!

The people running the hotel were so accommodating and patient with me. A one night stay in my 23ft RV that they don t normally allow because of the limited space in their lot, then extending my stay daily for 4 days they were still very gracious and extremely nice to me.It s been an especially hard journey for me and I am so grateful to the family running this hotel The rooms are spacious, very clean and bed was very comfortable. I loved the landscaping with all the beautiful flowers everywhere and it felt more like home away from home, or staying with family than a hotel. Perfect place to stay and right across the street from Del Monte MallThank you Thank you for everything

We weren t too impressed with this place, we arrived pretty late for staying and check-in process was fast but the problem was they gave the occupied room key to us and we tried to enter the room several times. Later, we realised the light is on and went to reception, they checked on the system and checked the room. So, finally after 10 mins they gave the another room key.The location is great, so close to highway, mall, grocery and restaurants. If your priority is location, go for it and book it. You will be happy.The room was pretty large and clean. We planned to stay for a night. It has pretty spacious parking area, and I guess price/quality is nice.Check out process was also fast, we just left the key to the reception.

This is a great place to stay. I am surprised that there rates are as cheap as they are for what you get. We are close to everything and the freeway. The room and Hotel are super cute. Nice size refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave, iron, and blow dryer. Comes in your room for no additional. Charge. The staff is very nice and extremely helpful. I will always stay here when visiting this area. Recommend this hotel 110%. Thank you for such a great stay!

Super friendly staff! Room was surprisingly nice. I will say if you are in room 105 the valve in the shower makes no sense. You turn it all the way to the left towards hot and the water gets slightly warm. I actually took pretty much a tepid shower. Then turned it off and thought what the heck I will try towards the cold. The water shut off came back on the further I went, and then found the hot. After that it was great for my wife. Plenty of hot water. Place was clean, bed was comfy. The toilet has a bad seal in the tank that caused the water to kick on between every 3 minutes and 20 seconds or so. I just shut the valve off before bed to solve it and mentioned it on check out. But for the money I'd definitely stay there again!

Advertisers pool and breakfast on expedia in pictures but does not actually provide them. Rooms were not very modern and falling apart. Front office was very rude and unhelpful to a customer. Who had their car hit overnight? Apparently, their cameras are just for show and don't actually work.Rooms: Not very nice. Very makeshift put together. Tub did not have a stopper to take bathrooms. Shower head was Grimmy with a lot of calcium covering it. Towels were ripped and towel rack came off the wall.Safety: Cameras don't actually work or at least that is what they told another customer that had their car hit over night. He said it in front of me so it wasn't 2nd hand.Food & drinks: The add on expedia shows them providing breakfast but they don't provide breakfast.Noteworthy details: While not a nightmare, this place is somewhere I would never book again And I would never recommend it. The bed We're not very comfortable and would move off the wall.

Horrible service and room smelled like we walked in a smoke shop, while they call it non smokingroom. Shower didn't work properly, all devices were plugged out and we had to move bunch of furniture to plug it all back in. Why?!? Definitely what you pay for.We asked a Receptionist if early check-in is possible and if we could use restroom, he was rude and after long wait told us we need to pay and no public restroom. I do understand not always you can check-in early and sometime you need to pay, but we don't have to wait for God knows how long and no need to be rude. He was literally sitting there and making this face like we came to his own house and trying to stay the night. Took ID and pretended to do something, when he already said no room is available. Why do you make us wait then?! We were going to leave, but instead waited for no reason and not even a simple "sorry".Do not recommend!

I liked room 121 the most, I think the 2nd one we were in was room 131? It was right above 121! My friends liked that one more :] We stayed as we got stuck in Monterey due to our car breaking down!Walkability: Quite a few places to easily walk to from there! :]

Younger female night clerk was super nice (she earned 5 stars) but the elder female clerk the next morning was unfriendly and rather rude (she gets only 2-3 stars) when we inquired about staying a second night. Bring your sleep mask if you expect to sleep in...the sun comes streaming in through the plantation shutters at the crack of dawn with no blackout curtains available. The room was quite clean and the bed comfortable but wouldn't go out of my way to stay there again...

Very nice staff the rooms were clean and actually much better than I expected since I was looking for an inexpensive room. I was pleasantly surprised when I left for the day and room was clean and in great shape was not expecting serviceNearby activities: Within walking distance to fisherman's wharf there's a mall close by that has some great food and other choices for shopping and leisureSafety: Just feels nice and safeWalkability: Find me a places to walk to close by

The room wasn t clean. There was hair on every pillow, comforter and sheets had cigarette burns, there was hair all over the bathroom, in the sink, the toilet was disgusting. Refrigerator leaked water like they had defrosted it for a few days, the bathroom window didn t close properly. Luckily enough my wife and I bring Lysol wipes, Lysol spray, and disinfectant to every hotel we stay in and had to thoroughly clean the room before we even unloaded the car. We would of left but there were no vacancies anywhere else in town. We tried to check in at 2pm and the lady said the room still needed to be clean, well if she called the room clean when we checked in 2 hours later then they must be some nasty folks. Also they had no extra towels, not even 1 towel, the maid all the towels on the property were dirty. We will never stay here again and recommend bringing your own cleaning supplies if you decide to stay here.

Extremely clean, quiet and gorgeous gardens...customer service is terrific and the prices can't be beat. Each Rodeway Inn is independently owned so don't confuse this location with other not so desirable places. We return here year after year and are NEVER disappointed. Prices are terrific & the family atmosphere is fantastic!! The rooms are upgraded with marble & stylish decor,

We stayed in a King Bed room for 2 nights. Hotel was immaculately clean! Both nights were very quiet and could not hear any street traffic or neighbors. The bed and pillows were so super comfortable and cozy! Heater worked awesome! Staff was very friendly and responsive. Would definitely stay again!

Very friendly owners on site. The rooms are super clean. Refrigerators only, no coffee pots or microwave in the room. They have a great breakfast from 7 in the morning till 10, Continental only. For the budget-minded it is a safe area convenient to gas and shopping. Don't hesitate to book here.

The suite with the hot tub is great, very clean, great internet connection, soft comfy bed. The room on the other side of the hotel had a firmer bed, okay internet connection, and had dirty walls and blinds. wouldn't hurt for the walls to be a bit thicker but not too bad. Friendly staff. Would come back

The rooms were clean and tidy. Lots of noise from the upstairs neighbors, and no spare toilet paper were the only downside to this quaint roadside motel.

Nice large room. Upgraded my room without warning but can't complain about getting more for less. Funny smell but just opened the window and went away. Kinda shallow tub...not made for two. Working microwave, minifrige, hairdryer, and plumbing. Overall worth the price.

We stayed in one of the lower rooms. Paper thin walls. Sounds like your entire earth is shaking, if the person above goes to the washroom. You can also hear exactly what people in the rooms next door are saying. This is crazy poor construction. The maintenance is also quite poor, our bathroom door had to be lifted to open since the hinges were lubed and corrected.Anyway, I would avoid this place if possible.-

Most people would give this place 2-3 stars. I feel obligated to give it 4. It is NOT a 4 star hotel but it is also deserving of a higher rating than you would expect for a Knights. It is in a great location, friendly staff, and clean rooms. I booked it because it was inexpensive but at the end of the day I'd say it was amazing value. Comfy beds, good bathrooms, not loud from neighbors, and helpful staff. Don't hesitate to book here.
