Good service. I showed up at the location without scheduling in advance. Since they had available slots, I only had to wait for one customer ahead of me, and then they assisted me. Within 15 minutes, I had the SMOG inspection completed.

Never even got a chance to review the actual service. They don t answer their phones. I called several times. I left voicemails. No return calls. I even sent them a message on their website for a appointment. No return call.First impression is a Epic Fail.

Best smog check business in Monterey and beyond. Getting an appointment is easy. The site is clean and pleasant with patio umbrellas and chairs to relax in while you wait. This is a local, family owned business and you won't find better!

Clean Air is locally owned. They did a great job. I was in and out within 15 minutes. Use local owned business when you can. They actually really care. Family has been here 70 + years. Locals

A friend of mine who operates a vehicle rental business recommended this business to me. I came in for a smog test, they told me that they were full up for that day, but that I could schedule an appointment a few days later. I agreed upon a time and made a note in my calendar then and there. When I arrive for my scheduled appointment, two days later, they refused to see me, As they were apparently done for the day at 11:40 am, on a Friday. The same time as my appointment. I guess I must have made a mistake, as according to them my appointment was 25 min earlier.They seemed nice on a personal level though.Service: Emissions testing

Place is great, they don't set up appointments, they just help people when they show up yet I've never waited longer than 10 minutes there. Recommended by my mechanic and now I never go anywhere else says the girl with three cars.

My smog connection for the last 20 years! Very nice and charming owners and if you need something beyond just a smog check, they will provide good guidance. If it's simple they can do it or point to someone who can if your mecha needs more!

Geoff , was super nice. Always maintained a social distance,wore his mask. The woman who took my call to make reservations was also nice. I felt like she new me because before we said goodbye..she addressed me by my name. That alone Says alot about they're customers...that we just aren't people. * * * * * 5 STARS

I was referred to this place by my new mechanic. Called to make an appointment & spoke w/a woman who was a bit abrupt on the phone when having to explain location. Upon arrival sign posted to wait outside which I did for about 3min before I said anything to the woman inside.. like "hello" since she didn't address me. The gentleman doing the work on the car was very nice & pleasant. Did the job, smog chk in & out 10-15 min max he said thank you, took care of transaction. Woman in office interestingly enough changed tone & came to give me my reciept & wished me a good day. Hmm a nice place but was glad I made the appointment for it looks like they book up pretty quick during the week. Shorter hours in Friday, inexpensive on smog $54 on 2000 Toyota. I'll be sure to go back.

Impossible to find and seemingly closes at random unposted times. I had to take off work only to find them closed at noon on a weekday with no notice or sign or anything.

Amazing place, the gentleman that helped me was great (unfortunately I didn t ask his name) but he must have noticed my handicap placards and took really good care of me. He even walked my payment to the other building so I don t get wet. Thank you buddy very much.

The best professional in the area. I needed to smog check my volvo and all (literally all except Mike's Auto) mechanics in the area were telling me that I needed to drive it for more time in order to restart the monitors. Jeff from Clean Air was the only one who knows his job enough to tell me that my car was exempt of that specific test. A real professional, like no one else around.

I was jerked around by the lady here for a smog check . I was told that I needed an appointment that is no problem gave her the year make and model of my truck. The next day I came in for my appointment and then after getting there 10 minutes early she tells me that my truck is to old for them to work on. If they would have told me that the first time would have saved me time and money. Get a clue don't go to this place .
