Never Experienced a Life threatening experience till one of your staff memebers Tried to Not only Crash into us purposely but destroyed our car w my 3yr son on the back passenger side. And is Now pleading Not Guilty when he s the one who was road raging like a Maniac. John is his name says he was late for work to excuse his reckless behavior as in excuse. This man has past reckless driving record, and shouldn t be working for cars if not able to properly drive around others. I m not living In the city but be safe around this company drivers people . Our car(Benz) His Truck(non-Damaged)

The team at Bay Brakes has been servicing our vehicles for going on 10 years now. As a woman I feel comfortable bringing my vehicle here for service because they're honest and easy to work with. Recently my husband and I we're driving into town and our car had an issue and we went to Bay Brakes and they fixed it for us in 15 minutes! Nice clean waiting room, fair prices on tires and service. Also safe to bring nice wheels and tires to them for mounting and balancing. Would recommend them 100%.Services: Auto body & trim repair, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Auto emissions testing, Auto maintenance

The mechanics seem to really know their stuff, but unfortunately, they use extremely low-quality replacement parts. It seems short-sighted to do a big job like replacing a solenoid or struts, that are very labor intensive, and use parts that fail within 100 miles. Low quality parts, not only fail, they can destroy other systems in the car. If they used OEM parts, which is how they price their work, they would be 5 star shop. I don't want to harm the reputation of this business, if you specify OEM parts, you should be fine. Update, they installed junk quick shocks on my old Honda Element and they failed within 5,000 miles. Anytime they get a bad review they pull the old "you must have us mistaken" baloney.Services: Electrical repair, Steering & suspension repair

Was visiting Monterey when I had a extremely loud noise start to come from my tire. I went to Bay Brakes after reading reviews right at their opening. At first was told they had a pretty full day. I explained that I was just passing thru and was trying to get back on the road. Not only did they put it on the lift and diagnosed the issue within minutes but said they would squeeze me in. So appreciative we agreed on a time and price. Got a call several hours earlier than expected saying i was ready and even had several $$$ reduced since it didn't take them the estimated time. If you are looking for a fair and reasonable shop I would definitely give them a chance.

These guys are the BEST! They've consistently and significantly undercut competitor prices by literal hundreds. They are flexible, amenable, informative and Very easy to get ahold of. these guys do amazing work and often go above and beyond (ex: free tire rotation with oil change, coupon offers on website, etc). Most importantly they don't take advantage of your lack knowledge or talk down to women! My wife feels very comfortable doing business here all on her own. These guys are awesome! My go-to place for all my automotive repair needs. Let's me know what services are necessary and when. Not like the dealerships that tell you that you need everything replaced and done now. Prices seem reasonable.

Super nice and friendly. Got me an appointment super quick. Got my Tesla model 3 tires rotated and balanced. Super clean waiting area and bathroom. Gave me an under-the-table military discount too. Highly recommend.

Bay Brakes customer service was on point! I called in a hurry, my brakes were grinding, and I had less than 2 hours to pick up my daughter. They effortlessly took care of me with great attitudes even though my expectations were a bit demanding...haha! I was so relieved! Thanks Randy & team! I changed the tires for Audi Q8. The service is good, professional, and the price is good as well. You'll need an appointment though.

The customer service at Bay Brakes was excellent! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and take the time to explain everything they were doing. Safety is very important to them. This place is absolutely the BEST! Took my Lexus to get both my brakes and rotors done. They not only told me what i needed, but serviced my car the same day! Staff knows how to greet and treat their customers like family. I'll never go anywhere else or recommend anybody but Bay breaks

Nice spot. I have my work van here for routine stuff. They're nice to have for inspections. They inspected my Civic for free when I had issues a couple months ago. If you're stuck waiting there's some places to hang out nearby, McDonald's, park, wharf, etc.

Great customer service, extremely fair prices, and most importantly HONEST. I took my car to get a patch on a tire, and they easily could have told me I needed a new tire to which I would ve gotten one. $35 later, my tire good as new with a patch and I was out the door.While local tire shops refuse to patch and repair tires to get you to buy a new one, these guys are great! Highly recommend these gentlemen.

I showed up as they opened and asked if they could do an alignment as my car was veering 2 lanes to the right in a bout 5 seconds if I took my hands off the steering wheel. They were super nice and had it done in 45 minutes. I am extremely grateful as I am on a road trip and did not feel safe the way my car was driving.

I visited Bay Brakes today with a slow puncture on my rental car. The shop was very clean and organized ... That impressed me immediately. Rolando was able to organize repair of the tire quickly. I was just visiting the aquarium and my cars breakes started to act funny and took it to Bay Brakes. They are outstanding. They are super nice. Justin and his guys know what they are doing. They made me feel so much better about my situation. I would definitely recommend them if anything is wrong with your brakes.

Do NOT take your Volkswagen here under any circumstance!! Their misdiagnosis was so OFF that it cost us our entire engine. Our first time here was for an oil change. Two days later when the check engine light came on the car was losing power and you could feel it physically when driving it. Bay Brakes ran the computer and it had 8 indicators. A mechanic here said it would be best to replace the main sensor that is making all the others pop up and it would cost $450. The appointment was two days later and on the way to the appointment the car broke down! It broke down on Fremont near some other auto shops. The shop it broke down in front of was a VW specialist I didn t know about before. He was amazing and competent but unfortunately it was too late and the engine was done. It was a timing belt issue and this VW specialist was BAFFLED that anyone could diagnose as a sensor problem when it was clearly mechanical. It was the timing belt that was off. Also we were told the oil filter replaced by Bay Brakes was the lowest quality despite paying $90 full synthetic complete oil change!! That $90 was nothing compared to our now wrecked engine. We can t afford a $7000 engine replacement so our best option was to scrap it. I deeply regret going to Bay Brakes.

Bay Brakes Automotive & Tires has been servicing my company vehicles for 3 years now and they still impress me with each visit. My recent vehicle has improperly serviced brakes and the original owner lost the key to the wheel locks. Randy was able to send us in the right direction and helped us through the entire ordeal and in the end was fair with the pricing because we went through so much. If you want someone in Monterey who will go the extra extra mile for you're car and family shop with Bay Brakes Automotive & Tire.

You may or may not know how it feels, when your son or daughter moves 1,600 miles away from home. I worry enough for anyone. That was 3 years ago, for me. Bay Brakes has relieved so may of these worries for Beth & I. Randy, Justin and their mechanics are so wonderful to work with. FAIR & HONEST and so knowledgeable. These people want only the best for their clients. So, so glad that we found Bay Brakes for all of Andrew's automotive needs.

Very nice guys. Price was exactly what they quoted and done on time. Was traveling thru from Oregon and they had me fixed and back on the road in 2 hours. Couldn t be happier with them!!!!

I called and asked for an estimate for brake pad replacement, I was told it is illegal for us to replace your pads without replacing your rotors . This is complete B.S., the employee said his manager told him to say this. I spoke with the manager who tried to justify this statement, although was incapable of providing the law that requires your rotors to be replaced at the same time. If this is your company policy, say so, be transparent with your customers. Do not try to sell additional services that are unnecessary and justify it by saying it s that law, that is false advertising.

Very Disappointedthe quality of work and Costumer service was Very poor .I couldn t help to hear how One of the supervisors or possible owner was yelling at one the employees in front of public.Poor guy just turn Red and kept on workingStay away from this shop .I found a good repair facility across .Go check it out .Have a blessed day
