Surprised by DMV that my car needed a Smog, and the lady said I had 4 days to get it done!?!? I looked to Google Maps to find where to go. I'm only off on Sundays and Mondays so I looked and found Smoggy Smog and Tommy. I looked and surprisingly saw He has a 5 STAR Rating! WOW, I'M IMPRESSED. I read about 5-6 reviews and was shown his reviews looked real. Then one said he only charged $50 OTD! Wow, Again. I went the next morning before work. I got to the shop about 15-20 minutes before Tommy opened. He got in, opened and he was done in just a few minutes. He said DMV would have it in their computer at Midnight! Fast, friendly, and fair. We have had cars smoge checked here the last couple of times and have been very impressed with their service. Seems like lately when you go into shops they have little to know interest and use a customer, but this place take specific interest and you as a customer and treat you like they've known you forever. Will educate you on your car. They have family friendly language if you know what I mean. This place is small, but the service is great . Myself and my family would highly recommend getting your smog checks here. They don't try and upsell you on anything they just get the job done fast and friendly. No price gouging, and very fair on their pricing compared to even the large box places.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. No check engine light on my car when I take it to this place for smog and the guy said not pass smog so I took it to another place and pass smog without issues. So this guy told me to go back next day for another inspection. But third guy only want to charge you twice for the same services. If you looking for a smog place for your car . DO NO GO TO THIS PLACE AND LOSE YOUR MONEYService: Emissions testing

This was my first visit. I am very cautious where I take my truck. It belonged to my dad and he gave it to me before passing away. The owner of this business is truly one of the nicest people I have ever met. You can tell that he is a very genuine person and cares about his customers. His prices are competitive and he gave me a coupon for my next visit. The entire process took less than 15 minutes. Thank you Tommy, I will be back again.Service: Smog certification

Even though I failed my smog test three times now I keep coming back. The owner is helpful and hadn't minded when I showed up right before closing. I recommend calling ahead to set up a time to come in if your cars equipped with a obd1 the sniffer takes a little while to complete it's process. All in all the owners kindness and the service I received has made me recommend all of my friends and family to go to smoggy smog check. You can't put a price on the great service I received but the smog check is the cheapest in town with a inexpensive retest if you happen to fail like I have.

This guy I have known him since I was a kid. Always with a friendly smile and great service. I definitely recommend this place for your smog service. By far the best in Modesto. Please bring your services here you won't regret it. Friends and family this Smoggy smog check is where you want your car to be at.

Needed to get a 1997 Acura Smogged 12/31 and called all over only to hear our machine is down and not working. Thinking this was peculiar and maybe it was a universal system I tried one last place, Smoggy Smog. After addressing the issue of so many establishments having machines that were down, which wasn't true, I was pleasantly surprised that Smoggy Smog was open for business and could smog our old 1997 car. Since they were extremely busy that day I was offered to drop the car off, welcome to wait, or could pick up later, but they would definitely get to the car today. Better yet, I was quoted $78, $68, etc. out the door at the two other places that could smog the car and at Smoggy Smog only charged $50 out the door. The service was amazing, owner very personable, straight forward, knowledgeable, and efficient. It was so refreshing to have such great service and communicate with a "real" human being. Thanks Smoggy Smog for your impeccable service! Wishing you much success in 2021 and a great New Year! We will definitely be back!Service: Smog certification

The service technician was kind and curtious. He was thorough and informative with my smog service. It is located on a busy part of Yosemite with limited parking space, but my experience was pleasant.

Came to Smoggy Smog to get my 2012 Dodge Ram smogged. Tommy was very nice and had me in and out in 15 minutes. Great prices, excellent customer service, I definitely recommend this place!!! Thanks Tommy!!!!
