I would like to start by Thanking the owner Mario and his friendly staff for a awesome experience, from the moment I walked in they were very professional.Mario was never too busy to answer any questions or concerns that I had about having to have my Transmission and rear differential repaired. They performed there inspection, then called me with a very reasonable price and kept me updated the progress.. I waited for almost two weeks to post this review driving my truck to work and back approximately 80 miles a day just to see how it performs, and I'm happy to say ,"it runs great "! I've owned this truck for 12 years and it never ran this smoothly, it's a pleasure to drive it everyday now. I'm restoring this truck to keep in our family and this has been an awesome part of the experience. Thank you again Ralph's Transmission. You scored a 10 out of 10 in my book. I will refer anyone who needs a new Transmission or rear end to your shop.

Best Transmission shop in the Central Valley!!! Erica was on point and knows the value of customer service!! They had my Tahoe towed to the shop at no charge and had my Tahoe's transmission (6L80E) rebuilt in 3 days. At Ralph's they back it up with a 3 year 100k mile warranty for peace of mind!! As a business owner myself I understand customer relations and getting the job done right the first time is #1 priority and they nailed it!!Service: Transmission

There s a reason why this shop has been around since 1969 Their service and workmanship is spectacular! Thank you Mario for getting my 2008 Ford Explorer squared away. I will definitely be back if/when I need more transmission work done

This was my first experience with Ralphs Transmission. My F-150 with 369,000 miles had transmission issues, everyone thought the transmission was shot, however, after Mario's team inspected everything, he found only minor problems, fixed it and the truck runs like new. Mario at Ralph's transmission is honest, communicate great and do a great job. I would recommend them to everyone.

While there is no joy in having your transmission rebuilt, the staff at Ralph s are very professional and polite. They proactively communicate and comprehensively explain what needs to be done and why. They also provide a great warranty on their work.

I waited a month to review to give a full review. I went in to get my 2006 gmc sierra with an Allison1000 transmission serviced. They were extremely profesional and they communicated the whole way. I had my internal filter, spin on filter, transmission pan gasket and fluid replaced. This is our overlanding/utility truck, so reliability is huge for us. I am happy to share that the truck has been on one long trip and the transmission is shifting better than ever. I did not go in because I had any issues with it, I went is for a routine job. From the customer service to the job itself, Ralph s transmission treated me right and I will absolutely be going back to take my other vehicle in for some work. Thanks!Service: Transmission

On Wednesday, February 14, 2024 I had to return to Ralph'sTransmission to have my vehicle worked on again. This was approximately 72-days later after paying almost $5300.00 to have a new transmission installed in my vehicle November 2023. A situation that bothered me very much. Why? Not even 3-weeks later after initial repairs my vehicle started leaking transmission fluid everywhere. Especially, in my garage which to be diplomatic I was not happy about. I would also add when 1st picking my vehicle up after the initial work performed Nov. 2023. The entire undercarriage of my vehicle was saturated in transmission fluid. Had I not been proactive in asking to see my vehicle placed on a lift before leaving the premises to view work performed. I would have driven away from shop having no idea of how shop was going to send my vehicle out of the door. Although remaining very much in control and disciplined when expressing my displeasure to ownership. I was offered no explanation on how this could happen. Again, after paying almost $5,300.00 fee to have this work done.At which time after gracefully expressing my displeasure directly to ownership (MJ). I was then asked to express to the technician what I felt about the situation. Which quite frankly I did not feel my responsibility. Especially, since the owner was standing right there beside me viewing the complete "HORROR" on my face. Mind you those repairs were very unexpected and great sacrifice was made to do business the right way. Paying for the services rendered without any delay or excuses. But understand I am far from a rich man nor am I a man that has $5,300.00 discretionary cash just idly lying around. Note to self, I am a self employed person. Translation I can ill-afford a malfunctioning unreliable vehicle. Also, it is totally unacceptable to have one leaking transmission fluid all over the undercarriage of my vehicle burning and smoking each time I drive as the engine warms up. I did reach out to ownership several times by email correspondence and phone the last weekend of January (01.26.2024). At which time we were able to set up a time for me to return my vehicle back to the shop.Let me be clear prior to returning vehicle to shop on the same day that I contacted their business Saturday, Jan. 26, 2024. I had spent almost 3-hrs under my truck doing an extensive deep cleaning (time I will never get back). Which I had no choice but to do as a result of the excessive fluid leaking ruining my garage floor and driveway. Information that I did calmly and politely share with ownership. Finally, I returned to shop and repairs were made and they even threw in a small oil part for $34.00. Which does not begin to cover my time in cleaning my garage everyday and definitely does not cover the 3-hours spent under my vehicle doing a major deep cleaning. My personal and professional opinion at minimum I should have been reimbursed $300.00, and at the very, very, minimum $240.00 ( Cash App: $EABEOWOLF9 ) or $$$ cash. But I was disappointed that this was not even brought up least alone considered. For the record, I believe was not place to bring up given how the business was not exactly handled ideally to begin with. As I spoke to earlier, I am a self-employed individual, I can not be wasting time that prevents me from earning, and I should not have to have the same repairs made after spending almost $5,300.00.In closing I was not going to write a review but the notification to do so kept showing up in my inbox. Also, I wanted to be sure to give much credit, gratitude, and appreciation, to Service Desk Advisor staff member Brea/Bria J. Who is the future of the company and in the industry. Wise beyond her years, very patient, very professional, very capable, very structured, very honest, very, very smart shop knowledge, customer service knowledge, vehicle check in/out, customer care knowledge, and in my humble opinion a quiet storm in the industry and the family run shop. Ralph's Transmission was the best shop I have ever been too. The girls at the counter were very friendly and professional. They kept me up to date on all aspects of the repairs to my Transmission and costs as we moved forward. They also showed me all parts being replaced as well as recommendations on other worn parts that were discovered during the repair process. The shop was very organized and clean! I also liked the fact that it is a family owned business and you can see the passion they have to give the customers an amazing experience! I was impressed ! Beautiful family and Great Service! I highly recommend Ralph's Transmission! Take your vehicle here and you will be satisfied with their Service!

Our journey with Ralph's began with Erica, I had no idea how the diagnosis process worked with transmissions. I'm fairly knowledgeable with cars, however, transmissions are still pretty new to me. Erica was very descriptive in the way she explained everything to me so that I understood. She followed throughout the entire process with us, keeping us updated in a timely manner. Everyone in the office was very understanding and helpful. I have a 1 yr old and a baby, they never made me feel they were an interruption to them when explaining the repair process. The repairs were done in a timely manner to get my baby (truck) back on the road quickly. Thank you to all the staff at Ralph's, you are all amazing!!

I write this review after the repair was made and ran my chevy silverado pick up. Was anxious to make the call here the 1st time since I know it was going to be a major repair but from the 1st call to where the truck is now, it was all worth it. Bri made this whole conversation and transaction go very smooth and explained everything my vehicle needed and needless to say was at the shop for 2-3 days with a rebuilt transmission . I ran my vehicle to Santa Cruz with passengers and a loaded cargo trailer and felt relieved to be able to drive my pickup again after more than a year of being broken down. Thanks to Bri Mario and all the techs for this excellent professional service. I will definitely look foward to do business here in the future and I highly recommend this shop to anyone needing any transmission services.Service: Transmission

Transmission in my 2017 Dodge Journey went out. Ralph's Transmission is the only shop who was willing to repair my transmission. Other shops said to take my car to the Dodge dealership. Erica and the staff at Ralph's Transmission was extremely helpful and explained everything detail of the repairs to my transmission. Ralph's Transmission rebuilt the transmission in less than a week. I have peace of mind with a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty. I would have given Ralph's Transmission 10 stars if I could. I highly recommend Ralph's Transmission. Thank You Erica and the Technicians at Ralph's Transmission.

Ralph's was AMAZING!!! They were able to tow my car within 30 minutes of calling them. They were super quick, professional, and kind. The tests they ran showed nothing wrong, so they ended up not charging me since they didn't "fix it". I was definitely not expecting that. I will be coming back for any issues I have, and will be sending everyone I know to them. Ericka, at the front desk, was super helpful when I called and explained everything very well. If you need your car fixed, I'd definitely come here!!

I have been going to them for the past 5 years. They always show me and explain to me what needs to be done. I have had nothing but positive experience with their customer service, mechanics, and owner. I know I will get honest feedback on the my vehicle issues. If its not transmission issues, they will let you know. I don't have to worry about my vehicle when bring it here.I had to get my vehicle towed all the way from Ukiah (breakdown from a camping trip) just to be seen by them..... it was worth it!

My truck was having shifting problems. My code scanner gave a few different codes, some of which were shift solenoid errors. I dropped it off at Ralph's. I got a call an hour later informing me that it's most likely an electrical issue. I gave the the ok to diagnose the problem. Received a call later that day and was told the the problem was found. Gave the ok for the repair and asked them to check all shift solenoids to make sure they're good. I received a call the next day to let me know that all fluid levels and solenoids are ok and my truck was ready for pickup. I couldn't be more pleased with the service that I received from Ralph's transmission.

If there is a more professional shop out there I haven't found it yet. The staff at Ralph's were extremely professional, friendly and quick. Ralph's helped me diagnose a transmission issue and helped me hold my dealership accountable for repairs. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. Offered to tow my car to their shop and have diagnostics done free of charge. They found exactly what was wrong with my transmission and were very upfront about the cost. For my 2019 Nissan Sentra it was P17F0 which is a full CVT replacement. Like any good mechanic would, after my transmission was dropped out they notified me of things that looked worn, which in my case, it was my rear main seal, among other things. The decision was mine to have them replace these parts, they offered to put the transmission back on and give me the car back. HOWEVER, If you choose not to then it will cost you more due to labor, which is why they let me know they were worn. As for the people saying these guys were just cash grabbing, you couldn't be more wrong. Ericka treated me and my family with respect, and never tried to hide or sneak anything extra in. I even left a pair of Gucci glasses in my car and they were still there when I picked it up. That's how professional these people are. Thank you again Ericka (I really hope I spelled your name right!) and everyone at Ralph's Transmission. You got my family and I back on the road and we couldn't be more grateful!!!
