ok.so i would give this place 0 stars if i could. so the new owner name is jhon african american big heavy set guy. he might be half partnered with someone else. they bought this building but still using the old name on building. main mechanic is JHON. a scam artist.!! me and family have been going to him a few times. wich is a disater. he claims do everything even electrical. but most of the time ive had to bring the vehicle back for the same reason. he rebuilt a transmission on my honda accord twice because it failed the first time. also on one of my trucks he had to rebuild twice. and recently my dad had his engine rebuild on ford f150 and had to bring it back because it failed due to this guy ordering CHEAP PARTS online and putting them in the cars come to find out, instead of getting parts from local auto parts store. just to profit more money !!.JHON will tell you to bring the car in the morning and it sometimes will not get to it the end of day. sometimes he will fix promblem if its simple. and most times he will tell you he couldnt get to it because he has other cars he is trying to do all at the same time and he also has another fulltime job in bay area so he definitely dont have time to fix cars. he has other journey man mechanics or his nephew work on the cars wich dont know much. this happend to me recently and was the final straw. i brought my truck in for a tail light to connect to a trailer. tells me to bring on a sunday i did. so he checks it out. and tells me the place he gets parts from is not open so bring back in morning. i ask whats estimate cost, he says 150 i say ok. i bring it back in monday morning, he then has truck and trailer all day long it gets dark i ask whats up with my truck. he says other parts need to orderd. he dosent call all day. no text. i had to reach out to him. just for him to say he couldnt get to it and dont have time..mind you i go to pick up and he trys to tell me i need singnal switches and cost is going to be 200 for parts 300 for labor ect. wich he has done alot in the past. i said im not paying that and thats ridiculous ! he then SNAPPED on me and told me DISRESPECTFULY to get the F OUT and dont come back. we had exchange of words then he pursues to charge at me like he was going get violent calling me a bunch of names and slurs because i called him out on his BS. JHON may act like his the nicest person but behind the scenes he is not. JHON or this place is not PROFESSIONAL and youll be sorry taking your vehicle there. ive lost money over time due to his OVER CHARGING and lost of TIME from work not having my car or work truck done on time. and suspiciously when something gets fixed something else goes wrong with my cars wich i cant prove but this guy a total SCAM ARTIST. !!!

These guys got me ready for a cross-country road trip, and saved me some money! Dan really is the best mechanic in Modesto. He took time out of his busy day to make sure my bumper cover was secure, so I could keep working while I waited for my appointment.Great service, reasonable prices, quality work, and the staff is friendly/willing to go above and beyond. When my bill exceeded my debit card limit, the receptionist drove me to my bank in her own car. I cannot recommend this Family-owned, local business enough! Absolutely outstanding!

Kurt repaired my 6.0 vortec engine in my Hummer back in July of 2020, and he did an excellent job. Very happy! Had misfire codes constantly driving me crazy even though the vehicle ran fine. He removed and had my engine heads rebuilt. Now that a lot of time has passed, but not a lot of miles, don't drive it that much, I feel confident writing this review because I believe I am fixed. I appreciate that when I needed to bring my suburban in without notice to have it looked at, I was told to bring it over.It was around three in the afternoon, I needed repairs done right then to not have serious damage done. They worked past closing time to make sure I could go home that day with my vehicle. Thank you Miller Automotive.Service: Steering & suspension repair

I visited Miller Automotive while I was home for Memorial Day weekend because the a/c in my 2016 Honda Civic was having issues, and they fit me in first thing in the morning on the busy Tuesday afterward. Kurt Miller, the owner, chatted with my dad while Tamia at the front desk took my info and made the experience as smooth as possible. My dad enjoyed his conversation with the owner, and mentioned that he thinks he's found a new favorite mechanic, my car was ready in a couple of hours and my drive back to OC later that day was nice and cool. 3 weeks later, and everything is still top shape! Thank you guys so much for the pleasant experience and great service all around!

This place is a joke I took my car in for a check engine light and it left with more problems than it came in with. It had bolts missing coolant leaking everywhere oil leaking I took it back 3 times and they said they couldn t see any leaks anywhere I took it home raised it up myself and recorded where the leak was coming from took it back and they still tried to deny anything wrong with the car until I showed them the video. According to them my head gasket blew mysteriously after they worked on it. 6 grand later I get the car back still doesn t run good owner gives me the I did the job myself like if that means anything obviously he didn t know what he was doing. 8 months later the motor blows up we take it to another shop come to find out they left the car out of timing and bolts came loose inside the cylinder head save the headache go to a real shop your backyard mechanic is better than these guys.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Dropped car off, they did work without discussion to see if we would like it done. 300$ for a plug in sensor to be replaced, that was just bought new and replaced last month. Band aid job, because it won't even fix the issue (we knew that). Hey at least they could discount the 300$ part back 100$. No progress on the vehicle and money out of my pocket. Would've gladly stopped at the diagnosis $.Services: Transmission, Electrical, Brakes

Miller Auto repair is the best shop I have ever used. From removing and installing new engine to our suburban to fast reliable honest work done on my commuter car. They are hands down the best of Modesto, Ca. You want honesty, professionalisms, awesome customer service, fast reliable workmanship. Here's my honest review. Maybe they do great work but, that wasn't the case for me.I called to make an appointment for my car to have front struts installed and all three motor mounts and to be finished the same day because I am a medical student and rely on my vehicle. I had all the parts and gave them to the shop along with the car. I paid a little under $600 (590 something) for an incomplete job and new issues.1. They did not finish the same day as they said. This caused a massive inconvenience to my family and me. I asked for the same day for very specific reasons, and I was reassured that it would be done in one day. It was not. Understandable but, frustrating still.2. When I went to pick up the vehicle I was notified at the desk that my CV boot (cv axle) was wearing out and that I will feel some wobble...So, NOW I have this issue? I never had that wobble before. What I think happened is that when they took the boot off the old strut they didn't compress the axle as they should have and caused damage to the CV.3. The job with the struts was done complete but, they only installed 2 of the 3 motor mounts. The mechanic let me know "hey, I saved you a couple of bucks because that mount didn't need to be changed." (this saved me nothing as the price did not change) Well... I didn't ask for that, I don't care if they were all new, I asked 3 to be changed and that wasn't done.4. Car is now vibrating again, albeit not as bad, but because they didn't change all three motor mounts it makes me suspicious. I'll just change it myself.I would not recommend this shop to anyone who needs simple honest work done. The search for an honest shop in Modesto continues. Valley Tire Sales on 9th Street has been the only shop I can say does the job you ask. Simple, no gimmicks no bs. Also the Valvoline on Mchenry.Also, I knew I shouldn't have left my car there but, I did. When I got there in the morning I watched as the mechanic opening up the shop, side scrape (left) a Silver Honda Accord while reversing it out of the garage because he forgot to open the doors all the way. But, because I already waited a week for the appointment and needed the work done as scheduled I went against my judgment. I won't make that mistake again.Maybe they do amazing work but, that was my experience with Millers.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment

There's automotive shops and then there's your go to place! This is the place to get your repairs done! Honest, fair priced, honor warranty's and great communicators. I never worried about a thing while my car was bring repaired.

Charged me for a diagnostic didn t even call me to tell me the part was on back order and they couldn t even do anything to my truck they were just gonna let it sit there for days while I thought they re were at least repairing something truck sat there for 3 days they didn t do a single thing except tell me the part was on back order and charged me $160 for absolutely nothing worst mechanic you can go to in ModestoService: Auto engine diagnostic

I've been down the road a bit and have used many shops over the years. Miller's is without a doubt the best service I've ever experienced. The office manager is a dynamo and makes things happen. GREAT ENERGY!

ive been ripped off by a few mechanics and my car would never be fixed how i expected, but this shop has always been honest with their work and prices; customer service as well is excellent, i never take my car to anyone else now

The worst place to go to get your rear end replaced I was charged 4200 for my rear end which was still messed up just left the mechanic shop and these guys missed a main bolt on my suspension left my main computer plug unplugged when They returned it so my speedometer wasn t working my AC was not working Left my driveline loose so now I have to replace my driveline rivets because they re all beat up on top of that they said I need a new battery so I said they can replace it these guys left my old battery I know this because my speaker wires are still connected the same way to the same battery so they lied about the battery placement for extra moneyServices: Steering & suspension repair, Steering & suspension replacement

My go to shop for repairs. These guys know their stuff !!! A few other shops couldn't figure out my cars issues. These guys knew just what to do and had me running again.
