Chris is the best. He will always go out of his way to get my car fixed as soon as possible. He takes time to explain exactly what is wrong and exactly what has been done to fix it, and he always fixes it, whatever the it may be. Chris and his amazing team never fails to help me out. Three generations of my family have been coming to him, and even now that I live in another state, I still drive my car to him when I know it needs a look-see. He will happily show you exactly where in your car something went wrong, he's been honest with me about parts or services that my old car was going to need, and he does everything he can to be open with you. I know with him, there's a difference between a recommended service and a required one. Most mechanics would just do the service when recommended, but he'll consider whether it's needed. He's helped me save probably hundreds of dollars by looking for the source of the problem instead of just replacing the entire thing, and his entire staff is as amazing and kind as he is. I've scheduled visits back to Modesto to meet with family solely so that I could come back to California Auto instead of finding someplace local. There's no place like home, and no place like California Auto!

Chris is amazing. He goes out of his way to explain everything and fits you in when you are out of a car. Honest, hardworking, excellent customer service, quality work and personable ! They were all nice folks however after dumping hundred s of dollars fixing AC he explained that it s leaking from the inside cabin and we don t do that kinda work. Why didn t he say it was leaking from the inside before taking money for a easy fix under the hood that didn t solve the ac leak? Why not explain it was leaking from the cabin. I wouldn t ever go back or refer anyone. They could have diagnosed the broken evaporated and or core before waisting money on fixing parts that didn t resolve issues.

Chris has been my mom's go-to mechanic for years, I towed my vehicle there knowing he was booked for a couple weeks due to the holidays and he called me the next day and told me the issue and fixed it rite away! I highly recommend them and will be back, Thanks again guys!!

Literally the best place to take your car, they do it all and they do it well. Chris and everyone there are honest, skilled, professional mechanics. My Grandparents have been going here since she moved to modesto many years ago and I haven't went anywhere else since owning my first car. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you!
