I cannot speak any more highly of this establishment and its spectacular owner, John. One of the absolute nicest guys I have ever met full-stop. Brought in my Toyota 86 to get new wheels and tires mounted for an autocross event the upcoming weekend. While he was running shorthanded and with not a lot of time on his schedule, he managed to squeeze me in on a VERY tight schedule that I'm sure was inconvenient as all hell for him and his team - who were shorthanded on a Friday evening.If that weren't enough, John took it a huge step further. During the installation, because of an error on my behalf, the service ran much longer than anticipated, and was looking to be well past business hours. In spite of this, and because John knew that I wanted to have my car track-ready for the weekend, he kept the shop open an extra hour to accommodate me. And not only that, but he himself drove me to another auto supply store in order to exchange the parts that I mistakenly purchased for new ones with the correct fitment.Again, to reiterate: this man stayed open an extra hour - time spent away from his family - and drove me, a complete stranger, to another parts store, all so he could get me taken care of for the weekend.I literally could not have reasonably asked for or expected any better service than John himself was able to provide me. God bless this establishment. You'd be extremely hard-pressed to find a better team than John's at Finishline.

Dropped my BMW off to have some exhaust work, and was told to come back later that day to pickup as it was a small job. I called for an update in the afternoon and was told all was good so I had my friend drop me off as it was close to closing time and could just drive my car home when it was completed. When i got there i was told that it was almost done, and the tech was on his way to go pick it up because they had the work done at a DIFFERENT SHOP. Not only was i not told this before the scheduled date but i was denied the address of the shop my car was at. This is very unprofessional and in my opnion never how a shop should run.

Chris, the owner, is a good communicator. First he made an appointment with me so I could get in and out relatively quick, which at the dealer, I have to sit over 1 hour. Chris promptly met me at the scheduled appointment time. It was my intermediate service on my Prius, e.g., fluids, tires. He explained the tire pressure was down on all 4 due to weather. Price was certainly reasonable -- much more than my Toyota Dealer -- Chris was about 40% less. I highly recommend Finishline -- friendly and ethical owner. I'm a "Car Buff" and have consistently serviced my cars myself over the years. However I have reached a point in life where by my time has become more valuable. Finishline Auto Repair is the one shop I can highly recommend. My recommendation is based on servicing not only my car but also all the cars of a ministry for Single Struggling Parents in which I am a volunteer. I serve as their car service representative and take responsibility for interface with Finishline for each and every car they service for us. Finishline is not only reputable and honest, but also has the qualified mechanics that meet up to my standard. The owner, Chris, is a very amiable person, totally trust worthy, and always responsive to the my many detailed technical questions. Just as a note I am a retired mechanical engineer, had a long career in Aerospace, and own 4 cars 2 of which are "show cars".Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes

They were amazing. I wanted to install the new suspension I bought for my car and install larger tires and wheels along with it. I stopped by to get a quote so they checked my parts, and told me I had the right stuff and they gave me a quote. Chris was very nice and professional. When I called them to make my appointment Chris was able to fit me in the next day. There work was relatively quick and done well. Their prices are reasonable and what I would say are the going rates. Once again they did a great job and I will definitely go back for any other work I need done on my car.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Really enjoyed working with finishline - we dealt with Chris and he was very pleasant. I sent my daughter in for a alignment and was so excited to not get an immediate call from her letting me know that the shop found a bunch is made up work that needs doing immediately!! (that is usually how it goes when I send my girls into a repair shop alone - but not here)Could we have found a trustworthy auto repair shop - I think so. Below was my review prior to the change in ownership. When John owned the shop, I was 100% confident in bringing my 3 cars in. With the change of ownership I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Now that I have had service on two of my vehicles, I can confidently say, Chris is a diamond in the rough. He is the most honest and sincere person I have met in a very long time. He is a fair and understanding person who appreciates all of his customers. He takes the time not only to understand your car needs, but to understand you. His customer service should be the template that other companies emulate. I always leave with a smile and feel like a better person afterwards. While he is still transitioning into his ownership role, he delivers as promised and communicated with you throughout the process.I tend to be critical and skeptical of businesses, but Finishline is one place I can go and feel that I get a fair deal from a great person.If you want to feel confident about your experience, the Finishline and Chris the owner will exceed your expectations.--- --------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------I first came here when my s2000 needed a new clutch. Spoke w/Chris before I scheduled an appointment. Knowing he's a good, trustworthy and honest gentleman, he asked me which day and time was better for me to ensure my car would be ready and time and date would be easier for me.He remembered me, was personable, and of course knowledgeable! It's been too long since I've been back due to life then covid, and am so grateful and glad business is still going well during these crazy times. He wore a mask and noted from our phone call my health concerns.I was able to walk to Target from his business, so I was able to get errands done and a little exercise with Chris' kind help.Car was ready on time; he called after checking I wasn't waiting in the parking area; he was honest about all he found, and even took my payment outdoors since someone was waiting inside already.I'll be back for future repairs and am blessed to have met many years ago!Blessings Chris and Crew!Service: Oil change

The best auto shop ever. Friendly and professional staff. The mechanics are very knowledgeable and did a great job fixing my truck. They charged less than the Chevy dealership quote for less work. I m taking my Mercedes to them next time it needs servicing.

John is the best. He is super trustworthy, thorough, and personable. I used to live near his shop when I began taking my vehicle to him. My Camry was at 80k miles when I first took my car to him. Now it is at 218k miles and running strong. Now I live an hour and a half from his shop but still take my vehicle to him. I have yet to find someone as honest in the vehicle repair business. I will continue taking my vehicle to John's shop as long as he is in business and I live in driving range.

John and his staff have always been trustworthy and great mechanics, too. I can always tell how honest a shop is by how they treat women. John is gracious and caring. He can be trusted to refer you to a reputable specialist (ex: transmission, windshield repair, Smog test, etc.). He is fair is his pricing and dealings. He will keep you car in optimal condition if you follow his advice. Highly recommend this shop! We discovered this 'treasure' of a mechanic about 14 years ago. We have never regretted it.

I have been taking all 3 of my cars to John for over 10 years now and have told all my friends about him. He and his crew are AMAZING. John is trustworthy and very helpful. These days there are not many mechanics you can trust. I trust John. He is always there, friendly, courteous and very helpful. Give him a call, make an appointment. You'll never take your car anywhere else

Very sad and upset with this place, I had a misfire on my ford econoline work van. And they suggested to change my spark plugs and wires. Which by the way not too hard to get too. Charged me close to $600 bucks. I m not really upset at the price, because as a professional myself. I like making an easy buck as well BUT keeping the customer happy ! WHICH I AM NOT AT ALL. As a Professional tradesman like they are, how do you suggest !! I want guaranteed work !!! Very upset I would never come back. STOLED MY MONEY. I would give it 0 stars if I could. DONT COME HERE.

Chris and the team have helped us twice with our car. Their maintenance services are fairly priced and they are very easy to speak with. In addition, they answer questions politely and with enthusiasm. There has not been a time where I felt talked down to and it almost feels like a friendship more than a transactional relationship. Now that Chris has taken over I received the same friendliness, honesty, integrity and service as I always have. Chris is such a great guy and also fun to talk to while I am waiting. Finishline Auto is the VERY BEST I can find in OC. They are honest and helpful. They do amazing work and is incontinently located, you will not find a nicer owner than John and his crew. I've had my car and my family's cars serviced there multiple times, John has always taken time to explain things to us and help us save money. He even help my father drive one of our car back to our house. There are many good shops out there, but Finishline Auto Repair is absolutely the very best. This is what we need in our community, try them you will be back for next time.

Couldn't be happier - this is our "go-to" car place. I discovered John and Finishline in early 2014, shortly after my husband and I moved to Orange County, and we are so impressed with our experiences here that my husband, who was always staunchly for exclusively using the dealership for maintenance, has switched to Finishline - he's a believer! We find ourselves raving about it to anyone who brings up car repairs.John always puts you at ease, and is very honest about what needs to happen now and what can wait. Once I had some work done and would need to return the following week to finish it up, and he did not charge me the first day, saying I could just pay all at once the next week. Genuinely great customer service - he truly cares and you leave smiling.I also think his prices are not only competitive, but in most cases, quite a savings over the dealership.

John and his crew do an amazing job! It is nice to have a reliable and honest mechanic. John is great at letting me know what is wrong with my car and provides a time line with recommendations on how soon I should fix things to work within my budget. I highly recommend his shop! With his expertise and honesty, you can't go wrong!!

Finishline did a great job figuring out and finding unseen issues my vehicle. It was a big job that took about a week to fix all issues. Chris updated me by phone, several time through the week, walking me through the repair process. I appreciate that Chris gave me progress updates. Have had several issues with my Buick Rendezvous. Finishline has responded perfectly each time and has fixed each problem quickly and never overcharged. Great service, reasonable cost. What more could you ask?Once again towed in, this time with a dead starter. They fixed it and did the lube and oil change that were due, replaced a burnt-out stop light bulb, and had the car ready to go before 1:00. Can't ask for better service at a reasonable price.

John and his team have taken care of me and my older Toyota for over 10 years. I've finally bought a new car, but as soon as the free warranty stuff has expired, I will be bringing my new car to John. I have never had to replace anything that didn't need replacing with John. One of the most honest and trustworthy business men that you will meet. A rare exception in the automotive business! I have recommended him to all of my single girlfriends!

I have been going to John and his crew for all of my cars for over 15 years now. I would never and will never take my cars anywhere else! I drive over from Laguna Niguel to visit John as he is worth the drive. John is honest, trustworthy, and very reliable. The work done is top notch and he always is able to accommodate when we are in a bind. Thank you John for providing a service that is hard to find in this industry! Went to see John about our Buick. He had it for a long time and checked alot of it. He told me straight off that he thinks it would not be worth the cost to fix. I liked his honesty and he told me exactly what it needed to be fixed and the cost of estimated cost. I recently missed an oil change and dropped by to make an appointment. John dropped what he was doing and told me to bring my car up so he could check my oil levels. Sure enough I was low - he topped off the oil and scheduled an appointment a couple days out. These guys actually care about you and your car. Reliable repairs by honest people.

Finishline services all my company vehicles. John is very trustworthy and he only will do work that he is asked to do. I would recommend this shop to anyone, whether you have a new or old vehicle. Why pay a dealership for unnecessary work at high prices when you can go to a reputable shop that works with you instead of against you.

Decided to try Finishline after reading all the great reviews. I was not disappointed. My older car had not been serviced in over a year and I was worried it needed a lot of work. John advised me that my car was in great condition and only needed an oil change and brake fluid. I was extremely relieved and appreciated the obvious integrity of this business. I'll recommend Finishline to friends and family.

I've been going to Finish Line for about 1 year with both of my cars. John is honest, efficient, and the pricing is competitive. Most importantly, John is honest and efficient, which in the long run saves you money. Did mention that John is honest and his team is efficient. I've only had two mechanics in my lifetime, that were so honest, that I didn't feel like I needed to get 2nd opinions on any major work.How do I know? I had taken my car to another shop which was recommending that I replace the differential on my Toyota Minivan. I took it to John for a 2nd opinion. He didn't think it was the differential, but couldn't rule it out, so he recommended I take the vehicle to a transmission shop for a 3rd opinion. They determined it wasn't the differential, just a bad front bearing, which had just been replaced by the first shop.I took the car back to the first shop with the transmission's shops diagnosis, they confirmed it and replaced the bearing at no charge.John saved me either $3000 for a new differential or many thousands for a new car.I've been taking my cars to Finishline since then and they have been stellar!
