Fantastic work and customer service! Absolutely the best for my Range Rover!!! Thoughtful careful work at prices that don't break the bank like the dealer! Duke and Gus are fantastic and always go the extra mile!Update: Just used their services again recently and once again 5 start service like I always get. I happened to get a flat (slow leak) on the way to getting my service done and they took care for everything within a day and had my car back in my hands within hours. Duke and the people at British 4x4 were first class every step of the way. They helped me with a ton of problems on my car, nearly needed a new engine, and they were able to fix it for me at a very reasonable price compared to dealership pricing.

I have been coming to British 4x4 for many years. I have had nothing but great experiences from them. They are honest, knowledgeable and always great to work with. I have had a ton of work done with them from regular maintenance to major repairs. (I do a lot of off-roading) These guys go above and beyond. There was one time about 3 years ago that I was set to leave for Norcal on an off-road excursion. On the Saturday of departure, my alternator went out. British 4x4 is usually closed on Saturday's but I had my RRS dropped off there. Joe happened to be in the shop working on his personal truck. He dropped what he was doing and worked on my ride. He sourced a new alternator and I made it on my trip. I was blown away by their customer service. I've had to replace my air bags and compressor, and they gave me the best pricing and quality work. Always the best quality! Chris is always very helpful. I am grateful for this place. Because of British 4x4, I am still able to play on the trails and build great memories with my family. Thank you guys for all the help!

Duke and his team have been top notch. I rarely do these reviews, but feel like I owe it to Duke and his exceptional team. We have (4) cars in the family and take all of them to Duke. He is extremely fair and provides a great personal touch. Getting the cars washed after they have been serviced is a great add on (and thank you Duke for that). The team is also very accommodating and has helped our family when we have needed such help -Thank you Duke

I recently had the pleasure of working with British4x4 Unlimited and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. They installed mud flaps and fixed side steps on my Defender 110 and did an outstanding job. The team was extremely professional and friendly, and they completed the work in a timely manner. Not only was the quality of their work exceptional, but they also charged a very reasonable price. They truly went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with their work.

We have taken our 2 Range Rover Sport(s) to Duke at Britsh 4x4 for years. He and his crew are honest, professional, no-frills, and provide quality craftsmanship. They are also highly communicative and help remind me of scheduled maintenance - which ultimately saves much $ on costly repairs. Overall, a 10/10. Fast and effective repair; I have been taking two range rovers to British 4x4 for years, and the next service of my f-type jaguar will be here. They know these vehicles well. Recently got preventative maintenance done on the 2015 range rover's cooling system and supercharger at around 90,000 miles (a little later than I should) but worth every penny; drives like new and no problems.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

Thrilled to have found Duke! I've been ripped off by Range Rover (RR) Newport for years. They fumbled on getting me in for my latest service needs, so I finally went looking...Duke came highly rec'd. & answered my call in a moments notice. He expertly troubleshooted error messages I was getting over the phone and diagnosed my car's issues on point. He took my car in immediately and was done w/repairs & a service w/in a day. All this @ more than 1/2 the price RR Newport would have charged me. Won't be going anywhere else w/my RR needs. Duke is the best!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Amazing service! Duke and his workers at British 4x4 did amazing work on my older Toyota pickup. I did notice they specialize in Land Rovers and Range Rovers, but they did willingly take it my 1985 Toyota pickup. Their knowledge of automobiles surpasses those of other mechanic shops that I ve been to in the past. The best part about my experience at British 4x4 was how well Duke communicated with his customers. Not once did I feel like I was bothering him with dumb questions. Wow! Look no further for your Land Rover or Jeep needs! Absolutely incredible service by Duke and his team. I only have amazing things to say about the work they did and their customer care.My 2006 Land Rover was diagnosed in less than two hours (at no cost to diagnose) and the work was completed same day. Duke was super transparent about the alternator issue and costs associated. He made sure to call and text me to communicate efficiently. When I went to pick up my vehicle, not only did the vehicle run perfectly, but he went above and beyond by giving my vehicle a full detail and fixing an issue I was having with my electronic key (without me even asking). Also I wanted to mention he offered me a loaner vehicle for the day while my Rover was in the shop. I truly felt like Duke and his team treated me like family, and I couldn t have asked for better service!This a stark contrast from the experience I had with the local British Performance Inc. shop just days prior (disclosure: do NOT go here). I first went to them for the same issue and instead of providing quality service, they quoted me 6 hours at $150/hour just to DIAGNOSE the alternator issue. I was totally taken advantage of, and I m so happy I decided to take my business to British 4x4 instead.THANK YOU, THANK YOU. Duke is the absolute best!! So honest, kind, and reasonably priced. My mom has been using Duke for her Mercedes for quite sometime. Having recently purchased a new Benz myself, I was hit with overpriced repairs from Mercedes dealership with unpleasant service advisors. Duke was very prompt and upfront about the prices I would be paying. Had my car in and out the same day!! 20/10 recommend. I had a lot of issues with my Toyota 4Runner. I had taken it to Toyota several times and each time it was something different and within a week of them fixing it the issues would return. British 4x4 came highly recommended so I decided to take my car in. Within a few days, Duke was able to find the issue and fix my car. It s been running smooth for months! Absolutely love the service and transparency. Let me start by saying that I am a car girl, and I always make friends with my dealer and mechanics. I treat my cars even better than I treat my husband :-) All kidding aside, I recently purchased a used 2017 Disco and wanted to start off with a good mechanical baseline. So, imagine my dismay when researching the poor repair/maintenance reviews on pretty much any Certified Land Rover dealership within a 75 mile radius of my home. Whether the reviews were unbiased or not, they made me reluctant to take my vehicle in for service. Enter British 4 x 4. I stumbled across this gem when researching alternative European mechanics and decided to give them a try - and I'm so glad that I did! Ryan was exceptional - he performed the oil and filter change in record time and completed a complimentary multi-point inspection to make sure everything else looked good after my recent purchase. He then spent an extra 15 minutes in the car with me explaining some of the cool off-roading features and fancy buttons that had me previously scratching my head :-) He was professional, friendly and quite competent. I reached out to the owners regarding the possibility of acquiring another key, and they responded promptly with a phone call and follow-up email. You can be sure that I will continue using British 4 x 4 for all of my future Rover needs. Well done, guys!

As a female, let me start off by saying an amazing Auto Repair shop is worth so much. I was taken advantage of by two well-respected places and Duke from day 1 has ALWAYS been professional, kind, and tremendously helpful. He has saved me thousands, done an amazing job and shown me mercy when others didn't. I don't care if I have to drive 5+ hours to get here, I will only go to Duke's British 4x4!

Nice people, quality workmanship, fair prices. I don't know what else anyone could want in a repair shop. It says British, but if you have any type of off road vehicle, give them a call. They fixed my jeep when I needed them! Great work guys, thank you!! I also had them do the brake work on my MGA. I trusted Duke, and I was truly impressed by their workmanship! I moved to OC a few months ago and needed service on my Rover Sport, but had heard terrible things about the local dealer's service. Another Rover owner recommended I try British 4x4 and man, I am so glad I did. It's not too often you find an Auto Repair shop to be full of great people, who are honest and ethical. I'm not a car guy, so it would be easy to tell me something was wrong and needed repair and I wouldn't know the difference. So when I took my Rover in for a check and they came back out and told me the sensors just needed a reset which they did when they ran diags, and it wasn't going to cost me anything, I knew I had found an honest shop. I've been back for a few types of service since that first experience, and have found Mike and the entire crew to be very friendly, responsive, super accommodating, and always helpful. I did check one of their quotes against the dealer across the street and they were significantly less expensive. Better service, less expensive than the dealer, and probably twice as fast. I highly recommend British 4x4!

Super detailed and took the time to explain the delima with my RR supercharge. This means a lot to me. As a Rover parent of 3 Landrover's. I will be bringing my other Rover's here moving forward. Duke is great and attentive & detailed oriented. I really appreciate him and the level of customer service I received. It is so rare today to get great service. I highly recommend.
