This was the third shop I attempted this morning (the other two claimed to be open but weren t.)Was warmly greeted here, the man was professional and efficient. Much appreciated!The turn off was a little unclear for the Google directions but worth the u-turn to find the correct entrance. Definitely recommend here for SMOG testing.

Been coming here for 10+ years. I have four vehicles and they all get tested here. Owner has been super cool and until today I would have given 5 stars. A new manager is now running the establishment. Took in a car which they have tested before. Manager said pop the hood, looked and said I cant see the engine, take it to the dealer, turned his back and walked away (they had no other clients). I said you have tested this car previously and he ignored me. Wow - Goes to show how the wrong person can destroy the customer service and a business. I took it to another place, who wanted to see the engine and said we just need to pop off this plastic cover. He did, the car was tested and they now have a happy loyal customer.

Would give negative stars if I could! This was genuinely one of the most horrendously rude businesses I have ever been to.As I pulled up, the man s tone of voice was rude from the get-go. He asked me to wait, and so I did- waiting was no issue. After waiting he told me to pull up and he came over to my car to ask how I found the place. He had a very accusatory tone, as if I did not belong there or had done something wrong. I kept asking what he was upset about and he seemed extremely suspicious of how I had found the business. Then he also came into my car window and opened my glove box, and went through my things without my permission, and pulled the documents out of my glove box! All while waving the paper and yelling in my face.

You will want to find another smog check, these guys are dishonest about the prices. I went there with a groupon, he asked if I had already bought it and said I should not have. He wanted $45 and the group on was for 30. Now I understand that they don t get all $30 but still these smog checks are sketchy businesses living off the government and charge $50-60 for 10min of work. So when he told me my car couldn t be checked, I expected a refund or a return for a retest but no he said the coupon was for one time use only. So why did he insist on marking mine used before he decided if he could provide the service, shady! I asked for the contact information for the owner or manager and was told some gibberish about returning on Sunday. When I asked again to speak to a decider, he got rude and told me he was very busy and I had to leave, the place was deserted when I arrived and when I left. I have to presume he didn t want to offer any customer service to groupon users. Either way I am out $30 for a five minute walk around with no smog check. Read all the other one star reviews and you will see the money grubbing and rudeness of the old man running this business. I will not return and you should give your business to a better merchant!

Do not go to this place! I had purchased a Groupon for a smog check on my vehicle on Feb. 29th, 2024 and printed it out. Went this morning, March 4th, 2024, and upon my arrival the attendant was rude and miserable. He said get your car and pull it up and give me your paperwork. When he saw that I had the Groupon he said I needed it to be on the App. I said no..it states either the App or printed out. It is clearly stated on the voucher. He refused to test my vehicle. I asked for his name and he refused to provide his name several times. He told me to call on Sunday and the owner would be there. This guy needs to be fired! He could barely speak English, too. He was a rude and miserable being. My advice is do not give this place your business. I will be calling the owner on Sunday and will also being filing a complaint with the other agencies. I have also contacted Groupon to receive a refund.

I had a great experience! I m always a little stressed doing anything car related not knowing if it s going to be some kind of scams. Everything was great, I was charged exactly what i was told I would be charged. They didn t make a stink about wanting it to be cash, they had Apple Pay. The technician was professional, quick and the whole process was far better than I expected considering what deal the price was! If you just need a quick smog for the DMV, this place is perfect.

I just called today and as a new driver with little knowledge of car maintenance, I politely asked for the price but when i told him that I saw a different price online, his tone changed and started being rude that left me speechless!!! I am compelled yet disheartened to leave this unpleasant review.

Don t go to this place the owner is so impolite and unprofessional! He asks a lot of racial questions! If I would have time I would call the police to come and take care of it! Just don t go here because it is cheap!

Avoid! Wouldn t even let me finish my sentence on the phone, and hung up on me twice! Get an assistant! Anyone would be better than this guy answering the phone. Needless to say, lost my business!

Don t ever ever get your car get smogged here. I brought my car and he revved it. I only have muffler delete and he said he can t do it. I asked for a reason and he just walked away. Never ever get your car smogged here! Trust me. He s dishonest and rude!

Wouldn t honor the groupon I purchased for the location told me to come back when owner is there if I wanted to redeem my groupon. Have called 2x and emailed asking for owner and only been hung up onUnable to redeem my groupon had to pay cash for my smog. Not good business practice here

The technician was great. Used a groupon deal and just paid a little over $9 for the smog certificate (there is a 3% credit card fee fyi). He was done in 10 minutes. I would highly suggest

As one said years ago, Sunday is appointment only. Google doesn t have an option to show this nuance. I did get service but only because someone else had set up an appointment and I was there as owner opened up the gate. The actual appointment showed up after I left.

I recently visited this Access smog check with my daughter and unfortunately, I had an extremely unpleasant experience. Prior to our visit, my daughter had called to inquire about the pricing for their services. However, upon arriving at the business, we were shocked to discover that the mechanic had arbitrarily increased the price.Naturally, my daughter attempted to discuss the discrepancy and inform the mechanic about the price discrepancy she had been quoted over the phone. To our disbelief, the elderly guy began yelling at us and demanded that we leave, using derogatory and offensive language such as "Just go, I don't want your business" and "Go, you cheap woman!"While I cannot provide the exact details of their conversation, I am certain that this business owner displayed an appalling level of rudeness, dishonesty, and sexism. It is deeply disheartening to encounter such unprofessional behavior in any establishment, and it is a clear indication of the lack of respect and integrity within this business.I strongly advise potential customers to reconsider visiting this place, as the treatment we received was not only disrespectful but also highlighted a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. No one should have to endure such offensive behavior, especially from someone who claims to provide services to the public. It is essential to support businesses that uphold professional standards and treat their customers with dignity and respect, and sadly, this business failed miserably in that regard.

I had a highly disappointing experience with Access Smog Check, and I feel compelled to share my negative review to warn others about their terrible service. This business not only displayed rudeness but also proved to be highly dishonest in their dealings.After calling this place on Tuesday to inquire about the cost of getting my two cars smog checked, I was given a quote of $59 for the SUV and $54 for the Sedan if paid with a credit card, but the person I spoke to also mentioned a cash price, which was significantly cheaper at $43 for the SUV and $38 for the Sedan. Feeling satisfied with the given cash prices, I decided to bring my SUV in for the smog check.Upon arriving at the shop this afternoon, the individual attending to me quoted the initial price of $59, to which I reminded him about our previous conversation. I mentioned that I had called on Tuesday and was provided with a cash price of $43. Rather than showing any professionalism or attempting to clarify the situation, the employee gave me a condescending rolling eyes look and claimed ignorance, stating that he didn't answer the phone and had no knowledge of my previous conversation.I expressed my frustration, explaining that although he personally didn't answer the phone, someone in his shop did and represented the business. I insisted on honesty, as any reputable business should strive to maintain. Instead of addressing the issue or apologizing for the confusion, I can pay the extra for the service but I need to address his dishonest and rudeness. The employee told me to "just go" because he had another car for the business. I was taken aback by his dismissive attitude and reiterated the importance of honesty in running a business.To my utter shock, he yelled at me, "Just go, you cheap woman!" Right before I got back in my car. This disrespectful outburst was completely uncalled for and displayed the true nature of the employees at Access Smog Check. It's appalling to witness such unprofessional behavior and realize that this is how they treat their customers.If you enjoy being mistreated and dealing with a dishonest business, then by all means, welcome to Access Smog Check! However, I strongly advise against visiting this establishment. Their lack of integrity and disrespectful attitude towards customers make it clear that they do not deserve anyone's business. Avoid this place! Don t know how they are still in business. The guy working at the shop is extremely rude and doesn t want anybody s business. He literally told me that there s a better price across the street and bye. They don t accept coupons and will not honor prices you see online. Go somewhere else!!

Pretty much same experience as other people have had...not surprised since I m usually very patient, but the worker (laughably the owner maybe) was immediately rude to me and continued being rude to me throughout our interaction. It wasn t until he tried up charging me almost double of what was listed on the coupon that made me finally leave (he very condescendingly said there are extra fees that he didn t list on the coupon even though it specifically states 1995 and older are only $10 extra he tried making me pay $40 more when i asked him to explain this he couldn t find an answer other than saying it requires more work why not list that on the coupon then I think he is just an a**hole and is looking to rip people off). He then sarcastically told me good luck finding a cheaper price, of which I found no problem. There are plenty of smog shops around that don t treat their customers like garbage to give your business too.Services: Smog certification, Emissions testing

The owner is a super nice guy. Was in and out within half an hour. It is a little tricky to find. If coming up Avery from Laguna Niguel or the freeway, do NOT turn left on Marguerite. As soon as you pass Marguerite, turn left into the first driveway. Such a great hole in the wall. Really nice owner and people. Just trying to do their job and survive. Yea there is an extra $11 fee but that s like a certificate fee and well worth it. Just get the Groupon and go! Also, people who complained about the fee obviously didn t read the website. It s clearly there, so do your homework.Services: Smog certification, Emissions testing

Don't come here, guy who does the smog checks is extremely rude and pulls pricing out of nowhere. He makes up excuses when you call him out on it. He said it is Sunday and he only takes appointments on Sunday, nowhere does it say this anywhere on their site or any other place. He then decides he will do it, but it will cost $65 for the test. I let him know I have a Groupon, he says he no longer is accepting Groupons. Look on the website it says $29.75 for the test and $8.25 for certificate, he says no $65. Last time I checked $29.75 plus $8.25 doesn't equal $65. Totally shady business, don't give them your money.
