Nichols has been servicing my Ducati for years. We have moved from the area and we still happily make the long trek for their service. Well worth the trip.

I've been coming to Nichils Sportbikes for 3 years now, every visit gets better & better. I ride out of my way just to come to Nichols.Came in with leaky bike, fixed it up in no time & still made it to work on time!Good Looks Will!

I've been going here for about 10 years. I did an yelp review back in the day, but failed to do one here. William is a very good and honest motorcycle technician. Consistently courteous and frank, he is good about telling me what's going on and when to expect my bike back. There is no upsell, and no expanding of the scope of work (unless something is truly found). And on a recent service, somehow I overpaid. I got a call and email from William to advise me that a credit was waiting for me on my next visit, which he applied without me asking. This should be par for the course, but is in fact exceptional.Services: Carburetor cleaning, Electrical repair, Tires, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brake service & repair, Battery

This place was highly recommended by other riders and Im happy I took their advise. William Explained everything he needed to do to my bike before he worked on it and he got me back on the road quick.

This place is the BEST repair and service shop in the Bay Area. The homie William is a super cool guy to talk to and he provides the best service as well!! Definitely would recommend over any shop...and plus prices are decent. But yeah good looks homie!!

I've been a happy customer of Nichols for over a decade. William is one of those old-school mechanics that are pretty rare these days- smart, dependable, experienced, honest, and reasonable. Whatever the problem is, William will diagnose it, fix it the right way the first time, and get you back on the road pronto (unlike some shops where your bike disappears for months and the problem is not fixed right the first time). You know it's a good shop when the mechanic doesn't mind you watching him work and it's always a pleasure to watch William work his craft. I feel fortunate to have such a quality shop available to care for my Ducati.Services: Electrical repair, Tires, Engine repair, Brake service & repair, Battery, Oil change

If you're on a budget and ok with your bike having permanent damage, this could be your shop!Paid half price for a coolant flush but the mechanic left air in the system and tried to gaslight me into thinking it was ok that he didn't need the factory specified volume of coolant to fill the system.My bike (KTM) requires the front end to be lifted to get the radiator fill point above potential air pockets in the system (annoying yes)I informed the owner and the mechanic that this was needed and THEY BOTH AGREED to perform this annoying task when flushing my coolant system.Upon pickup I was shocked to find out the bike was only filled with half the recommended coolant volume.I provided 1.25 qt and was expecting to be charged for an additional 1.25 qt.Long story short, they didn't bleed the system, filled it half way and then tried to convince me that I had to be mistaken about the process of bleeding the air.They literally told me to my face that I had to be mistaken about something they agreed to do the day before.I immediately took it to the dealer where they confirmed the engine was full of air.This place is the reason why mechanics have a bad reputation.

Best place to get your motorcycle serviced. William is the best you can find for Ducati or any other sport bike. He is skilled, fast and get you going within time. Also, his suggestions are honest and charges very normally for manual labor, wont burn your pocket.I always bring my bike here for annual service and other random checkups.

Will is the best!I was new to Ducati maintenance, and asked how i could save some money on a belt and valve check on my new to me Hypermotard. He suggested I bring the bike in with as many parts removed as possible to save on labor. I did this with the hyper, a 749, and multistrada and got pretty good at taking them apart before bringing them in for service. On one occasion, while putting the bike back together after a belt change, I forgot to 'click' the spark plug wire back onto the plug and it popped off and got caught in the belt and jumped several teeth. The piston contacted the valves and my motor was done, I was devastated. I brought the hyper back to Nichols and he confirmed the piston, head, and valves were toast.Will said he could source replacement parts and that he felt so bad for me that he would not charge me for labor and would do it on his own time. I was astounded!! This is a private shop specializing in Ducatis! He replaced the cylinder, piston, head, and valves. Readjusted the valves and I was on the road again for only the cost of parts!!I highly recommend Will and Nichols Sportbikes to everyone I encounter.Service: Engine repair

Got a flat on my way to work and limped my bike into Nichols Sportbikes around 11 am and was out the door all fixed up by 1 pm even though they had to order and pick up a new tube. William did a great job and was a very cool and pleasant guy to deal with. I plan to take my bike back for all my mc shop needs. Thanks again William.

Took my bike to Nichols for the first time and was VERY impressed with all the knowledge the team has! Unlike other shops where they just want to take the all your money and show no interest in you or care of your bike. Although I did not have major service done, just an oil change and all around inspection, I will definitely be back for future service! Nichols made me feel at ease and 100% confident that my bike will be taken care of as if was their own. Bravo to Nichols!! Excellent work.

I can't speak highly enough of Nichols Sportbikes and William. Will takes pride in his work. His love for what he does, makes him not only a professional, but also an aficionado. I knew there was a timing/combustion issue with my 1198S CSE. I didn't have the tools and skills to resolve the issue myself, and other shops didn't even notice the issue. William was able to resolve the issue, inspect other things I had questions about, and completed the work quickly. While I'm happy to be moving from the bay area, my next Ducati mechanic is going to have a high bar to meet.If you have a Ducati, you need to take it here for service or upgrades: You won't take it anywhere else afterwards.

Great place to device motorcycle. William is super busy but charges a fair price. Had a slow leak in front tire. He I spexted it for an hour and couldn't find the leak. Didn't charge me for the time. Honest guy.

Will did a fantastic job getting me back on the road. Long story short, I got stranded in San Jose. I was on my way to SJHD to test ride the Livewire and my Ducati got jealous and threw a fit resulting in a stuck gear shift lever. SJHD was kind enough to tow me to Spirit Motorcycles close by but they were no help. Telling me they were three weeks out for any service. Called my buddy Warren at Mototransporter to tow me to Nichols. Will had the part I needed (shift arm and springs) and got to work. Bike shifts flawlessly and I couldn't be happier. I dodged a bullet because it could've been worse but I'm thankful for Nichols Sport Bike for their excellent service and very fair pricing.Service: Brake service & repair

If you own a bike and need service, look no further! William is THE man.. Did an awesome job on my tire and chains... Best part he also gave me an appointment and it really helped me go about my day. Highly recommended!!

Been coming to Nichols for many years now. They are the only shop I trust with my Ducati and my safety. If you haven't seen their Yelp review, you should definitely do so and you will see these guys are the real deal.

This is the place to take your Ducati (or other bike) to for just about anything you need done. I can not say enough good things about them. They are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, professional and personable. They have very reasonable rates and these guys know what they are doing. If you are on a budget, they will be honest and up front about what needs to be done and what can wait. They catch stuff that the other guys don't. They will take you into the back an explain everything to you in detail if you have any questions about what they are doing or are going to do. Mike Lawrence is one of their top notch mechanics and is very passionate about bikes, as are all of them. When you stop by, check out Mike's 900ss parked out front, it is a thing of beauty. Your bike will be in good hands when you bring it to them....they are the best!

I brought my 2013 Diavel to get the snapped gear shift return spring replace, This place is amazing the mechanics are so nice and low profile they are very knowledgeable on Ducati bikes. I brought the parts that i bought online just to avoid delay on fixing my bike. I gotta tell you guys this are very good!! Don't waste your time and money any issues on your Ducati's bring it to Nichols sports bikes and you won't be disappointed with their service.

I recommend William at Nichols Sportbikes.The Ducati Diavel rear brake fluid is more challenging to bleed, due to the design and positioning of the bleeder valve and brake line.Other Ducati dealer shops in the Bay Area do not take the time to do the job correctly, since it is more time consuming (and less profitable to do it right), whereas William did take the time.The best part was that I learned a lot since I was able to observe the process of how William did this more professionally than the official Ducati professional service centers.Thank you again to William at Nichols Sportbikes for his integrity and professionalism.

Had a set of tires replaced a couple of months ago. Spend a ton of money getting repairs done. All of a sudden my valve stem is completely busted and they want to charge more to replace. If the valve stem was already bad it should have been caught and replaced with tire replacement. Poor customer service. They only care about their bottom line. I'll make sure not to refer anyone here and take my business elsewhere.

Just got my crank case breather in theMail I ordered for my Ducati. #1 they have 2 different sites listing 2 different prices. So I paid $150 for a silver breather and got this in the mail. They apparently were out of silver and didn't even bother to ask if I wanted to wait or if I wanted black. If I wanted black I would of ordered it. And it is supposed to include a installation wrench which isn't included. The bike has a nickel plated frame and swing arm and the silver is what I wanted. The fact that they don't even call to see if that is what I wanted is a terrible way to run a business. I couldn't imagine billing my customer a $150 and send them a different part without verifying if I want it.

Grate place! I needed help with my bike short notice before the holidays and was not charged any extra everyone else wanted to. They were very helpful and got my bike in fast. They will get all me business from here.

The fellas @ Nichols not only get the job done right the first time, but are a great bunch of guys. Took both my Ducs (97' M750 and '06 Sport 1000) here all the time. Sidenote; while @ a Ducati event it was stated by a good friend and rider that my Sport1000 (serviced by Nichols) was the only bike that day that sounded as though it had a proper tune...
