I was looking for someplace in Northern California where I could get a rebuild on the engine for my 1979 Yamaha SR500. I saw an article in Cafe Racer Magazine about Craig Marleau of Kick Start Garage in Redding, so I got in touch with Craig and he agreed to take the job on, with the result you see here. Attention to detail is fantastic. Craig was always willing to answer questions about other aspects of my cafe racer build; he's friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and easy to work with. And his shop is a wonderland for anyone who loves motorcycles. Very highly recommended.

Every once in a while we come across a business and individual who exceed at what they do, Craig at Kick Start Garage is an individual who I will endorse with total confidence . He is a man of his word and his work ethics are superior to others in the world of motorcycle repair, maintenance or a build . Craig goes beyond what others may consider a "job well done"

Kept my motorcycle for 3 months charged me $400 and didn't do anything I asked him to do except put a boot on my sparkplug and replaced a new fuel filter with a new fuel filter. All he was supposed to do was replace a 4" piece of fuel line. My bike ran worse when I picked it up than it did when I took it in to have it fixed. He told me he rebuilt the carberator but it had years of dust and spider webs still o and around it. He never fixed anything and now I have to send it somewhere else to have it fixed. Not only what I wanted fixed but whatever he did to make the problem worse plus he messed up something else. If you like your bike do not take it to this guy, HE SUCKS!!!!!!
