Marcel, the owner of Marin Auto Works, is honest, thorough, and always tries to work with your time constraints. I have taken my car to him several times for regular maintenance, and he always has my car ready as quickly as he can, and he does not try to upsell you on things your car does not need. An honest mechanic!!! Can't say enough good things about Marcel and his shop. His work is top-notch, pricing reasonable and he's a pleasure. And honest - my seven year old car has had such frequent issues that I must be one of his better clients but on my last visit he nevertheless encouraged me to trade it in for a new car because he expects it to continue develop issues!

We had a terrible experience at Marin Auto Works. After servicing our 1997 Land Cruiser for years, Marcel told us we should donate the car, that it couldn't be fixed. Luckily, we got a second opinion, and it turned out that the routine and major maintenance had not been done. Love this place for so many reasons: great customer service, they don't upsell, they don't belittle you for being a woman, they give fair prices and make you feel well taken care of. Marcel is awesome.

This is a long running family business, and you can tell they care about their customers. They have done minor repairs (light bulb replacement) for free-unheard of in the auto repair business. I love this place.
