I am SO happy CR Automotive was recommended for the work I needed done on my 2007 4Runner. Darwin and crew are thorough, knowledgeable and professional! They ordered the parts (strictly Toyota parts) and finished the job exactly on time and as quoted. 1/25/2024Once again the CR Automotive team provided above and beyond service for my nearly 20 year old Land Rover. They listened to my concerns while successfully diagnosing the problems, and made the necessary repairs quickly. It's running great! They also informed me at pickup, that they had successfully obtained warranty coverage on some previously installed repair parts, and also credited their own labor associated with those previous repairs - I never even asked - as Darwin said "We value our customers and stand behind our work."I can't stress enough, not only the quality of the work, but CR Automotive's honesty and integrity.+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Another recent visit (November 2023,) this time for my Audi A4 Wagon - Once again the CR Automotive team provided excellent service, along with great communication, honesty and genuine value.I will never go elsewhere.++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++I'm a long time and repeat customer.Recently had another excellent experience with the CR Automotive Team. My Land Rover LR3 was misfiring and losing power, with Engine System Fault displayed. Darwin & Jimmy are the exception to the perception that all repair shops are looking to rip you off and do substandard work. They are honest, trustworthy and do spectacular work. They do not recommend work that does not need to be done and they are very clear about what is important and what is not. My husband and I have been with Darwin since before he bought CR and would trust him with any car we have in the future. Jimmy was next and between the two it doesn't get any better. CR Automotive is terrific! They do excellent car repair work at an honest price. They work hard to do right by your car! I have had years or experience with them. Darwin and Jimmy, the two leaders at CR Automotive do a great job: they carefully and patiently explain what work needs to be done on my car, and give me a clear estimate of the cost. Always a great experience at CR Auto. We have used them for over 10 years on all of our cars, foreign and domestic, modern or classic. They are as good with a new Jeep as they are with a 1970 Corvette or a 1971 Javelin. Highly recommend them.Our 2023 service in July was excellent again. CR Automotive always gets the job done right and on time. They are reliable, honest, personable and have fair / reasonable prices. For me, choosing the right car mechanic is right up there with choosing the right dentist -- CR Auto is the best choice for my car maintenance and repair. Had timing belt, water pump, oil gasket and engine mount repaired. They explained things in the details I needed, made sure I was ok with the quote, even when they found an additional issue, were extremely professional, and of course the best part was their price was the best out there. Well worth hearing some of Darwin's corny jokes.Service: Engine repair

Darwin was very helpful in explaining a difficult check engine light problem followed by me having to operate the vehicle for a certain amount of time before they could check it again and then smog it. Painful and time-consuming problem on my side, and they were very patient with me as I grew more frustrated (not their fault). Great shop.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I have taken my car to CR Automotive for several years now. They are a good team with a nice communication style -- they take the time to explain what needs to be done and will often show you a part they've replaced so you can see for yourself what the problem was.I like that they itemize and prioritize the various repairs so that I don't have to get everything done at one time. Also, it's easy to make appointments using their online tool. The email reminders for when there's a service due, do help keep me on track.

I was referred to C R Automotive by my neighbor. I have been taking my car in for regular maintenance now for a couple years. I would not hesitate to recommend C R Automotive to anyone looking for excellent customer service! What I like the most is that typically, without me asking, management carefully explains what they did, and why. They discuss issues before they happen and let me know what to look for. They always give me an estimate of costs before they do the work. I really appreciate this kind of service, as I know very little about cars. I trust C R Automotive completely!

Darwin is a diagnostic whiz. Our Mazda Miata began showing weird symptoms sometimes starting, sometimes not, at stops car feels like it might stall, display lights on dash coming on and off at weird times, car feeling shaky or unstable at times while driving. Truth is, car would work ok, then it wouldn t. Symptoms were not consistent, so it was tricky to diagnose. Not for Darwin. He was able to diagnose the car within a few hours of us dropping it had it fixed by mid-day the following day, for a very reasonable price. If you want a trustworthy, competent car guy, Darwin is your man.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Wheel alignment, Battery

CR Automotive is great. I honestly say that I am lazy with my car, meaning I don't bring my car into shop unless something is actually broken. But every time after I bring my car to CR Automotive, I am confident that it will come out running smoothly. They are reasonable with their prices too, and they explain/list out clearly what they did to my car. I recommend this place to my friends.

I've been servicing my car there for many years now. I found this gem of a place by accident wondering around the coffee shop. Jimmy and Darwin are attentive, professional, and truly care about me and my family. They are very thorough with their work and explained what's going on with my car. Went to CR for the first time with my Mercedes Sprinter to replace the front brakes and rotors. The customer service was excellent from start to finish. I soon have to replace my rear brakes and will definitely go back to see Darwin and the rest of the crew when I need more work done on my Sprinter.

Coming down the grade after the Golden Gate Bridge my accelerator stopped working. I coasted into CR Automotive hoping that they'd be both quick and legit. Within the day they'd diagnosed the problem and had it fixed at a reasonable price. Pulling into an unknown mechanic is always anxiety producing, but I'm glad I ended up here. I have been taking my old Volkswagen to CR Automotive for years and have never had a bad experience. They do great work, they're great at keeping track of what needs to be done and when, and their prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend them.

Excellent experience in every way. Damian understood the situation with my 1998 van rear window and was able to solve the non-function problem with the installation of an after-market motor in an extremely efficient way. Isabel, in the office, is a paragon of efficiency and thoughtfulness. CR is definitely worth the effort to find a friend to drive you to and from your appointment.

Took my car in for a SMOG check and the service was excellent. Jimmy was very attentive, knew what needed to be done, my appointment was on time and the car was ready is less than 30 minutes. There is a comfortable waiting room where you can wait for your car. Very pleasant and efficient experience. Thanks

My motorcycle s mirror became super loose on a ride up to Mt. Tam from the city. Pulled in here for a hot second and asked if I could borrow an Alan Wrench/ hex key owner was a complete gentleman and took care of me. Cheers! Thanks for keeping me safe
