Knowledgeable staff but overpriced and they didn't complete the job. Was charged over $500 for replacing vacuum lines for my AC and auto locking hubs. They got the AC fixed and said the 4x4 was fixed but upon further inspection the driver front side was missing the connection completely. Had to take it to another shop to finish the 4x4 job do to me not trusting their quality control. AC was fixed for selection, but they didn't even check or recommend checking the refrigerant levels (had to get that done at another place). They know their stuff but the attention to detail leaves much to offer.

Buds DeiselThe first good sign was,They were finishing their work.Trucks & vans, were coming in and going out. They are knowledgeable efficient and do excellent work. 100% recommend.Went to another place for diagnostic $ 300. Took all dayWas not allowed to see what was going on. Looked around trucks were everywhere. Not one job finished the whole day.I thought if I leave my truck at this place I'll never see it again. Because all the vehicles have been sitting a long time.Good thing I found Buds deisel. They worked with me on doingWhat was the most importantFirst.Because I can afford so much at a time.

These guys are great at what they do. 2nd time bringing my truck here and they fixed all the issues after another shop could not.Not a cheap place, but I have learned you get what you pay for. Well worth the money spent.

First time customer, first time in 18 years that my truck had been repaired by someone other than me. Found and fixed the problems that I had been chasing for over a month in one day. Good people, nice clean operation. I highly recommend Buds DieselService: Electrical repairService: Electrical repair

My daily driver was down for the count with a bad oil leak. Places near the truck couldn't get a tech to see it for two weeks. Since I just started using Bud's for my regular maintenance, I gave them a call. They were able to get to the truck within a few days so I paid for the long tow to their shop. My truck was seen and fixed the same day they said they could look at it (luckily for me it wasn't something deep in the motor like a main seal). Fair prices too, not too expensive and not cheap- you often get what you pay for. I'll be back for ALL my maintenance and, hopefully not too many, repairs.Services: Engine repair, Oil change

We have had our 2002 Duramax serviced at Bud's Diesel for years. They changed my injectors after the original owner missed the recall. Our LB7 had 51,000 original miles at the time of injector replacement and now had 104,000 trouble free miles and Bud's is the only shop that we use. I will make the drive from Mission Viejo to Midway City and Bud always has room for me. Not much room but room enough :)

I brought my truck here for engine issues. The problem was quickly diagnosed and Buds quickly supplied a quote for repairs. They even allowed me time to shop around for the best price. Buds was the most affordable, even with the "discount" the dealer offered because it was a known issue. I am completely satisfied with my experience here and continue to bring my truck here for any work that I have done.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Did injector change, brakes and maintenance (Allison, PS fluid, oil, fuel filter, etc.) on my 2002 LB7. Bosch reman injectors installed. Truck runs great now I was impressed by the shop and their knowledge of the DMAX and how busy the place is. Was apprehensive of having an ordinary shop or dealer crack open my engine, but after reading all the great reviews and visiting Buds I picked the right place. Try them out you will be happy.Follow up. Turned out one of the injector return lines had a small leak, which can sometimes happen on LB7s. Causes oil dilution. They quickly fixed this on warranty. I also had them swap out the water pump which was starting to leak. Top notch work, no quibble on the warranty. Try them you will be pleased.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Brakes

This is the second time I've taken my truck to Bud's Diesel and both times I couldn't be more happy with the service and communication from the shop. I took my truck there for a turbo replacement two years ago service was fast and well done. Mechanics are easy to talk to.This time was for my front wheel bearings. Plus upper and lower ball joints. Both sides were done. Added new front shocks and transmission service. My truck was dropped off on Monday morning and was done by Friday.I will take my truck there again. Thanks Nick for all the info on my truck as it was in the shop.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance

They charge a 400$ inspection fee to diagnose your problem and if you ACTUALLY decide to do business with them after that they only give you 50% of that money towards the repair.Never seen a shop try and do that. Going elsewhere , USE YELP

My vehicle was due for its first maintenance, and I checked out a few options for getting this done. After calling a few different shops, I was happy that Bud's Diesel took the time to make sure they could get all the parts for my truck before having me come in. They gave me an estimate over the phone, and I was able to bring it in that day. The service took about an hour, and they made sure to clean up any oil and fuel that inevitably spills during maintenance. While the basic maintenance is a straight-forward process, I asked if there was anything needed to "bullet-proof" the truck. Instead of trying to sell me on every bolt on part that they could think of, they asked how I use it (towing a 5th-wheel), where I use it (deserts and mountains), and then recommended that I pay particular attention to replacing the fuel filters when the truck recommends it. The cost of the service wasn't cheap but was certainly more reasonable than taking it to a dealership, especially considering how quickly the work was done. I appreciate their honesty and was glad to see an assortment of diesel vehicles from various manufacturers being worked on.Truck owners are notoriously known for brand loyalty and there's no shortage of stereotypes associated with owning a particular brand. To paint the picture more clearly, trying to convince a truck owner to consider another brand is akin to asking them to change their mind about politics, religion, or some other deeply rooted belief that they have. I have no such brand loyalty but was initially concerned about bringing in the "wrong" brand. I had that sense when calling some other shops... Most trucks in the shop were from Ford, but I didn't get any sense of snobbery by bringing in another brand.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I ve taken my diesel to Bud s on several occasions. Their diagnosis of my truck has always been spot on. Their shop is immaculate and their staff is extremely knowledgeable in all things diesel. I mean why would you take a diesel to the dealership? They may not have anyone capable of working on diesel engines. You know at Bud s they know their diesel engines and have the correct mechanics for the job.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I took my 2002 Chev Silverado, Duramax/Allison to Bud's Diesel for a routine transmission service. They were able to get me in, right away, while I waited. The service tech brought the truck around and checked the fluid level thoroughly in front of me and gave me an overview of the service and how it looks. This is my second time using Bud's Diesel after they did a great job replacing my fuel injectors in my LB7. I would highly recommend them!Service: Transmission

Best shop I've ever been to! My experience was exceptional & professional from my initial call thru paying Inv when work was completed. To boot, they outperformed their own phone estimate....said work would take 3hrs, they completed in 2hrs; The cost was 25% less than what was quoted; The new performance on my '20 super duty far exceeds expectations!Thank you Nick & pro's in shop!

I ve gone here multiple times now for a large amount of upgrades, none of it I felt was an easy task even for a professional mechanic. Some of it involved custom modifications. All my communication was done through Nick, he was very honest and I was well informed of everything that was done. I felt that the end result was clean and quality. My standards are very high as I love my truck and drive it every day. The price seemed extremely fair for the work and I was happy to pay it. I have a great amount of trust in this place now and I look forward to doing more work with them in the future.
