Do not buy a bike from any dealership until you call Merced Powersports-and ask for Josh. I have never spoken to anyone as knowledgeable as Josh about bikes. He has experience on all kinds of bikes and that knowledge can't be replicated. The other staff, inventory and service are second to none. We tried the local shops in Sacramento and got price gouged and had poor service. We don't mind traveling a bit farther to keep our business with Merced Powersports. They are small enough to know you by name, but big enough to get you everything you want.

Just bought a Kawasaki zx6r from here and I would definitely come back with no hesitation! The gentleman at the counter was friendly and polite. Then Josh came out to assist and he was awesome! Thanks guys, I absolutely appreciate the experience !

PLEASE READ: tldr, I can attest to the level and quality of customer service from Colin in service and Chuck working diligently to get our quad back up and running. After getting to know the team more I can t recommend this place enough. Essentially, if you are able to work with these guys, they will work with you and make sure you are taken care of. Only suggestion i have to future buyers is go the Japanese route, even if it costs more but it will be well worth it. Especially with the inventory here, it s well worth taking a look at all the options. All the best to the team here, and happy to answer any questions from any potential customers.Background: I always write honest reviews, and setting aside the series of issues that led up to our quad being there 2+ years (both sides at blame here) I can say the service is great. Aside from us not following up much sooner, I was highly pleased with the service, just unsure why this level of service/fixing couldn t have been done sooner, which is the only reason I am giving a 4 star not 5. People working here (especially Colin in service) are more than qualified to handle any issues, even in our difficult case, when the manufacturer of the quad is out of business. Again, I can t say for certain but possibly had this work been done much sooner it might have been a bit easier for everyone involved? But I don t blame anyone there, when not only could we have followed up more but also I understand the difficulty in finding OEM parts when the manufacturer no longer exists. The moral of the story here is don t buy Chinese garbage and if you take it to get serviced, make sure the service is possible as it s best for everyone involved. Setting aside those misunderstandings on both sides, we were happy with the outcome.-Mike

They have great toys here. I found a brand new Honda Rebel id like to purchase. However, they only have one sales/finance person and he was busy. No one else knew much of anything. Kinda frustrating.

I can only say one thing excellent service Took my bike in Thursday. Got it back Saturday morning. That s what I called. Great service. These guys let you know what s going on no beating around the bush give me the prices that I like well people I highly recommend them this is my new bike shop and I m out of Turlock. What does that tell you

The sales team here is great! My husband has bought 3 bikes from them and every time the customer service is excellent and friendly. The parts and service staff have always been very nice to us as well! Great place to shop and buy bikes.

Merced Powersports was awesome to check out. Drove all the way from the north bay. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The owner is a super cool dude who was easy to talk to and had very helpful advice. I ended up picking up a 2023 Honda CRF250R and I couldn t be happier. Definitely will be doing more business there!

Well. What can i say. Showed up to the dealership to buy a motorycle cash. Spent about 30 minutes browsing inventory to kill time as I waited to be helped. Help never came. The gentlemen saw me walk in, didn t even get a greeting. He got up off his computer and walked by me, but did not even acknowledge that I might be interested in a bike AS I WAS LOOKING AT THE BIKES. Lol. Missed opportunity on an easy sale. I knew what bike I wanted, I was good on the price, all he had to do was tell me where to sign. Guess I ll be putting a commission check in someone else s pockets! :)What kind of sales person doesn t acknowledge a potential customer. Word of advice, a greeting goes a long way. Might wanna try throwing in a we ll be with you shortly or give some sort of wait time.

Called yesterday to schedule a service for multiple quads. I was told I could bring them in at anytime. After driving for an hour and a half to get to Merced Powersports, I was told We don t have the room, how about Tuesday? Great to know how that s how paying clients are treated.

Brought my motorcycle here to get fixed was supposed to take a couple weeks end up being 3 months and all they got done was 1 spark plug and they broke my carburetor and then tried to charge me $295 for the work they did bike still didn't run.. this place is a joke and a scam don't bother getting your motorcycle fixed here unless you trying to waste a lot of money and time

Merced Power Sports was great to work with when we purchased a 23 KX 250. They were professional, courteous, and had the bike all dialed in when we got there. I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy a bike.

This place went above and beyond! I was looking at buying a used bike from a private seller down the road. When I went to test drive the bike, the check engine light was unexpectedly on and the seller claimed not to know a thing about it. I popped into Merced Powersports to ask what it could be and to suss how much it would cost to diagnose/ fix the problem. I can't remember the guy's name at the service counter, but he seriously went above and beyond. He looked up the code, showed me the schematic, and explained how the carbs on the bike worked. He took so much time giving me free advice about this error code and motorcycles in general and was patient in helping me understand things. As someone new to bikes, this was seriously the most helpful and appreciated experience. Spectacular service. Would trust these guys to look after my bike and is 100% where I will be getting things serviced in the future. Thanks so much Merced Powersports! <3

I reside in the Modesto area and was looking for a set of rear brake pads for my 2022 Yamaha cannery 700. I called All around and Merced powersports was the only dealer that had what I was looking for. The parts person gladly put them aside for me and advised he would increase his stock to make sure that other riders that needed these pads were able to get them. Even though I have to drive over 40 miles I willfully do so to do business with the friendly staff at Merced powersports. The parks person I dealt with was definitely an attribute to that store

Main salesman was super uninterested and dismissive. Acted like I wasn t worth his time or effort. I went in there with cash but was so turned off by his demeanor I will never buy from here. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because the owner and another guy behind the counter was cool and willing to give me some attention/ make conversation

This place is wonderful! I love the great customer service and no bs sales approach. We have purchased two ATVs from here and will be purchasing again from them. If you are sick of being a number and treated poorly by salesman/staff you should check this place out.

This place has 18 ( one star reviews ) Now I know why!We stopped by (7/23/22} to look into getting a new Honda Rubicon. The time was around 11am. We walked in and looked at some of the inventory. We noticed one individual speaking to a couple. That was it. We then walked outside to look at the outside inventory, and still no one bothered to approach and ask if they could help. I then decided to ask one of their employees, who was obviously a mechanic if any of the used quads were for sale. He decided not to answer my question, and instead walked away. So much for help and courtesy. Now I understand if your busy, and not able to help someone right away, however it's fair to say that acknowledgement of any customer in a place of business that deals in sales, should at the very least take a moment to just say "hello, someone will be with you in a few moments" OH well.I decided to take my business to Hollister Powersports. 5 out of 5 stars!!! WOW!! What a world of difference. Talk about COURTESY, FREINDLINESS!! Not only were the employees fantastic, but the inventory was outstanding! So much of everything. So if your looking for a quadrunner, or maybe just something else, give them a call, you won't be disappointed.

Went in there today to look at generators and quad. First guy behind the counter said he can't help me because he was not a sales license. That was understandable. Then the sales guy came. I asked him about 3000 honda generator. He was short and didn't give me an actual price. He said around $2500 to 3k. Well that unit cost around $1500. Then ask if he can look up. He gave me run around. I asked about quads. Grizzly 700 or Kodiak. He just shot out high numbers with out checking for me trying to get the sale. I felt like he just wanted me out of there and was trying to scare me with high price. It was not a race thing. I am Mexican and he was Asian with sleeved tattoos. I am a successful general contractor. He didn't know that because I was not in work clothes. I usually spend my money locally to help our economy. Trust me I will never step foot in there again. I will take my business to Modesto.

I had a real bad experience with the manager and owner of the place. I would recommend that you stay away and buy from Modesto powersports. I bought my daughter a 125 Honda trail bike on June 3rd 2020 and I walked in with the manager and he said sign here your payments are 118.00 per month and some change. He said to sign on the I-Pad he never told me that was my contract to scroll down and look at everything to make sure I was in agreement. He did not go over anything with me which Modesto store did. He thinks that I m a payment type of guy so you have a low payment so be happy and I don t have to explain the rest of the fees with you. I knew what my payments were I had no clue what the freight and setup fees were. Modesto charge me $570.00 in fees. Merced store charge me $896.00 in fees so there is other stores that would give you a lot better deal than the Merced Store. So then I talk to the owner all he could say is you sign the contract that s the way my manager does it. Your a dealer you should explain the contract to me not the other way around and tell me that its my job to look it over without you explaining anything with me. I knew I was getting no where with the owner. I am happy I got my daughter a trail bike I was not interested in giving it back but I did file a complaint with Honda and they said that they should have went over the contract with me. Do not buy from this store you would be better off going to Fresno or Modesto take that extra 50 minutes and drive to a place that cares about you as a customer. They get 0 stars from me but I had to give them 1 star to post this.

The team here (especially manager Chuck and Colin in service) really helped me out with a tire issue I was having while passing through on a long trip. They went far above and beyond what would be expected from a dealer, solved my problem and not only saved my trip, but possibly my life. Friendly, down to earth, and really seemed personally invested in me having a safe and enjoyable trip.

The guy in parts was knowledgeable and helpful. Don't take your bike in for service though. I dropped it off early(Sept 18) because they suggested it in case there was an opening before my Oct 10 appointment. I asked them to do one of their service packages, balance my back tire, replace my front tire, and replace my front brake spring (i provided a new one). On Oct 20 they told me the back wheel was bad and they would look for a replacement. I found one myself I let them know and they said they would throw it on there the day I bring it in for me. A week after dropping it off, I called to find out the status and they said to come get it. On November 11, I went in paid for the services and was ready to take it home. I then noticed a hole in my seat and a crack on the side cover. They said they'd "make it right," but suggested I go ahead and take it home. They never admitted nor denied they were responsible for the damage. The also never replaced the front brake return spring because the mechanic said the original part was fine. I told him it was not, and explained the issue. He said I was right and tired to quickly put the new spring on. I left it with them because I didn't want to be somehow blamed for the damages. A week and a half later I call in to find out the status and I was told it was ready for pick up, and the young gentleman in service said they fired the mechanic who worked on my bike. I went the next day to pick it up, the seat was re-upholstered but nothing was done about the crack in the side cover. Chuck told me he was not going to cover the side cover because he "spent $75 to fix the seat and I'm not about to pay $300 for a side cover." He then told me it has scratches and cracks all up and down the cover, so he wasn't about to give me a new one. Yes there were scratches, but there were no cracks because I work on the bike myself and I always examine that I put things back right. I took my key and they told me to take my bike, which was squeezed in next to other bikes, so I asked them to move it because I didn't want to knock down any of the other bikes. I got a dirty look from a sales guy, then the mechanic who worked on my bike (who they claimed had been fired) met me outside to move my bike for me. As I drove away, I made it halfway home when the steering stem nut flew off my handlebars. I grabbed it, put it back on, and when I got home, the left handle bar weight fell off. When I put that back on, I noticed the screw to it had been stripped. I will NEVER go back. I had considered buying a new motorcycle from them, but now they will not be an option. I paid for my services, even when the bike wasn't ready to be picked up, I felt like it was up to me to find the parts needed to complete various jobs because my bike is older and they don't make parts for it anymore. Chuck was short and rude when I asked questions and his answers just seemed rehearsed when it came to the damages they caused.

I was here for emergency tire replacement. The price was very, very reasonable and since I had to hit the road the next day, Merced Powerports managed to get this taken care of the same day. As I write, I'm waiting to get major service done on my bike - the line is long because the service is worth it!
