Joel has grown up to be a fine young business man. Great service on my motorbike from the staff. I used to go to Mitchell's since my roadking was new, but they let me down on my last visit. Custom will be our go to from now on. No nonsense service...I recommend...

I usually do all my own work on my bike.. Had to get my rear tire changed. The tech and owner pointed out deficiencies with my bike that I was unaware of... They were absolutely OUTSTANDING, workmanship and professionalism! They fixed some issues I "rigged" (license plate frame) and did a absolutely amazing job! I highly recommend this shop!

Very good products good customer service willing to go out of their way to help I had a 21-in front tire installed on my bike I will be going back to have more work done I'm sold

DO NOT take your bike to Merced Custom. Worst experience I've ever had. Took my bike in for an insurance claim, after several weeks, finally heard back. Joel had ordered parts and made decisions without ever consulting me! The parts he ordered didn't even match the insurance adjuster's estimate; he decided that some things didn't really need to be fixed, again without consulting me first (this blew up in my face, since they did end up needing to be fixed). Took him 5 weeks to do the work he did, even with me calling every few days. Insurance company wouldn't compensate me for the time, since they said the job should have taken 2 hours. When I asked Joel to provide proof of why it took so long (ordered parts, etc), he wouldn't do it. There was no good reason, he just dragged his feet for 5 weeks. I ended up having to pull my bike out of the shop to get it finished somewhere else. I will never take another bike to Merced Custom, absolutely terrible experience. Incredibly unprofessional.

Great local shop, needed a new seat and Joel took a seat from his "for sale bikes" just to keep a customer happy.setup a whole build Joel has contacted me every step to keep me informed on decisions. Yea my bikes charging system is gone and I m 3000 miles from Philadelphia, PA. Thank you to Merced Custom Motorcycle for being so willing to work with me and put me at the front of the line when the 3 local Harley Dealers wouldn t! Class A shop with excellent mechanics . Joel and the crew have been servicing my bike for as long as I've owned it. In fact, I bought it from a private party, after Joel checked it out and helped me put a fair market value in it. Customizing is a combined effort between the rider and the shop. Joel has steered me towards my vision, but I've always had the last word on what gets done. He hasn't pushed for expensive or unnecessary mods. I really appreciate the recommendations Joel has made. I'm completely satisfied with the work they've done and the time it's taken to get me back on the road. The new, expanded shop is great and the sky's the limit for what they are going to be doing in the future.

Saved the day for myself and others. Needed a hard to find vintage part for my bike. Was on the road 2 hrs later. Many thanks from us all. Will not go anywhere else for my needs. I suggest the same for all!!

This shop will burn you for anything they can. I paid money up front to have my bike repaired and upgraded. Parts from their graveyard were used, the mechanic completely screwed up all my wiring and other than a fancy paint job nothing I asked to be done to my Harley was satisfactory, PLUS, Joel Story lost all of my service records and made no attempts to find them. I will never take my bike to them or recommend anyone to them in the future. And Lady Riders BEWARE, they think we are ignorant to our bikes and our parts...

Everyone I've dealt with there has gone above and beyond to help me with any problem I've had with my bike. If by a slim chance they don't have the part you need, they can find it and have it for you within a couple of days. If you ride a Harley and haven't heard of Merced Custom Motorcycle, you're either not from Merced or you just moved here. Go check out what they've got in stock.

I did a review on Yelp and I'm gonna assume it got removed for speaking negatively about another reveiwer. I understand if that's the case so I won't do that in this one.I'll try to keep this one short. I bought a bike at Merced custom motorcycles recently. Its got 88in. It's fast and I've been riding it for almost 2 months, I've taken it to SF, went to Sacramento, one night, then took the I 80 to Fairfield (I think), got lost in that town for a sec until I found hiway twelve, took it to 680 which was freaking fun @3am just passing everything, no fairing, wind just blasting. Not 1 problem or any kind of malfunction with the bike so far. No complaints so far.I just hope I get that front fender before the first rain.

The place is like hanging out at your Friends backyard. Everyone is super nice. They will come and talk to you, explain what's the matter with your motorcycle. And with the rates they provide for a job, you won't go any other place. It's my go to shop in Merced. Kudos to the team.

Pretty cool shop.Seems that they are always busy.My brother had his bike repaired there and it wasnt finished on time...few days late.The work was great though.

Joel is awesome! I am an out of towner that was riding my BMW from San Francisco to Las Vegas when I had a tire blowout in Merced. I called the Honda/Yamaha dealer in town but they said they wouldn't work on anything they didn't sell. I then called Josh and he said he'd be happy to help me. He offered to come pick up the bike off the side of the road, sent someone 45 miles to pick up the tires and put aside scheduled work to quickly install the tires so I could get on the road to Las Vegas. Incredible service! If you're anywhere near Merced, go see Josh!

I contact the five different stores for the part I needed for my motorcycle .each place I contacted recommend I contact custom motors so I didand they were great awesome staff I love their service great selection I recommend them to everyone.

One stop shop no matter how far you got to drive the only place I would go or refer any brother of mine..My Cousin JOEL born and bred to bulid the baddest bikes in the 209.That we now have MCM bikes all over the counrty

I recently purchased a 2013 HD Softail Classic and had problems reaching and retracting the kickstand. They come up with a solution and fixed the problem.
