I have been going to Extreme Auto for years. Angel & his crew are amazing and care about their customers. His prices are perfect for the great job they do. If you need any work done, I highly recommend taking it to him.

If I could give this business zero stars I would when I dropped off my car there was no paper work singed nobody notified me about storage fees. I had my car towed here when over the phone everything sounded great but it wasn't. I Needed a new engine and was told my car was okay being outside of the shop. When I called back to notify when i will have enough owner told me he had a lean on my car with out me being notified a hold of 2,500$ and also towed my car inside of the shop without my knowledge. I was very upset with them because we had been communicating through text I was never once notified my car being there was a problem or I would have towed it back home. Long story short I got my car back but I had to pay lean fees and the owner wasn't even there when he knew I was coming didn't even have papers for me to sign or a recipe for my transaction I had to pay one of his employees through cash app which was very unprofessional. Because they didn't expect card only cash but did not tell me when I was already there and he knew I was coming I'm happy I did it through cash app for my proof of pay because like I said there was no proof of payment or anything from what he came up with this number I had to pay. When I got my car home it did not have a battery there were cards stolen that where in my middle console and also my paperwork gone from my glove compartment. I notified him about this he said there's nothing he can do about my cards it was on his property I feel as If who ever he has working there a Couple of them are not even real employees a young kid and a couple others who knows took my cards. With transaction trying to be completely there was no money on them i dont even use but was getting notifications about them to my phone so canceled them. About my battery went there he wasn't there again when I got the battery it was the wrong one. Went back turn it back showed them it wasn't the right one gave me the wrong one again. I called left a message stating this is the wrong battery they do not keep track of car parts he still never got back to me for the right battery. I will never go back here nor do I recommend people going here unless you want wrong car parts in your car and things stolen and a lean without being notified. Also having non employees working on cars which is very dangerous putting are parts in cars.

I could rate this place a ZERO do not EVER take vehicles here and get it serviced by AJ. A year ago this mechanic worked on my husband s truck and was paid in full with zero questions. Withheld the truck longer and has done long term damage to our truck. AJ has never given us receipts and we are still a year later fixing the damage that has been done to our truck. AJ was flat out rude when confronted multiple times about why it took 2 months to give us our truck. I wouldn t write a review but we ve taken our truck in 3 times now to another shop to again correct damage that was done. Do not come here! Damaging a truck worth $45K is beyond me. Again, I still don t have receipts to this day. I couldn t even tell the shop what was done because we weren t given anything. I ve asked AJ and had a phone conversation with him but he deflected his mistakes. How can you take thousands of dollars to fix a truck and give the truck back damaged (not be truthful about it) and then not even offer to refund us. Unprofessional! I have actively taken steps to report this business to the CA bureau of automotive repair.Update: I can verify that our truck was at this location. Openly not admitting our vehicle was ever at this shop is beyond me. AJ auto doesn t exist, he did work at this shop with his own license. I don t have my locations mixed up. This lady has left one review as of now because the damage done has been long term I think it s fair enough to speak up.

Greatfull to have found EXTREME AUTO REPAIR when my car recently broke down. Angel and his team were very helpful and understanding of my situation. They kept me updated at all times and tried their best to get my car back in reasonable time. In future will continue to take my car to them if needed

I brought my car to this shop last December based on their stellar reviews. I was experiencing a jolting issue while changing gears. They initially diagnosed it as a faulty engine mount and replaced it. However, during my visit, their card reader was out of order, so I had to pay in cash, which would be fine except they didn't have change, resulting in me paying more than expected. After leaving it took two phone calls before they sent me a receipt.After driving the car, I still felt the jolting problem. I returned to the shop, and they assured me that the jolting was normal. A few months later, my transmission failed. I was disappointed that the initial diagnosis was wrong or at least incomplete, and this combined with the other issues made for a frustrating experience. I was really surprised by this since the shop has such great reviews. On the bright side it got me to start doing my own mechanical work.

Been going to Angel since before he had this shop, I even bought the car that now needs work from him, Now he leaves me stuck at a location ALL DAY kept sending people who couldn't do anything then the next nobody nothing kept saying 1hr, I haven't been able to get groceries or anything, I'm disappointed. No longer recommend

Was referred to Extreme Auto Repair by a friend I've known for a long time. We were looking for a local, reliable, repair shop since my family likes to know who is working on our vehicle.The part was not easy to find - (I tried finding it myself), but the owner located it and the repair was made quickly.My family and I drove to Southern California and back (over 600 miles) shortly after and our car ran great. We have other repairs to make, given our vehicle is 12 years old and we have over 170,000 miles on it and look forward to Angel and his staff helping us out in the future.If you're in the Merced area, and looking for a local, reliable, and quality repair shop, I recommend Extreme Auto Repair.

Took my truck in for high end pressure pump and injectors with a full contamination kit to be installed , took almost 2 months with very poor communication and or updates . The job called for 35 works hours , not 2 months ! So finally after waiting for my work truck to be completed, he finds another problem with my truck , the Machanic AJ says that my glow plug is stuck and is working on it , Needless to say he did more damage to my truck the he did fixing it , they drilled my glow plug out so far they damaged my head without telling me anything , now I m looking at $6,458 to get everything replaced once again my truck has to go back into the shop , I would never get work done here againDO NOT TAKE YOU RE CAR HERE EVER ,UNLESS TOU HAVE TIME FOR COURTServices: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair
