I called this shop trying to get information on pricing originally called about a transmission repair and the price was not bad that s isn t a cheap repair going in so his pricing was more than responsible. He also offered to cover the tow. Then we had another vehicle broken down, two of our vehicles broke down with major issues. The truck was a blown head gasket. They don t repair those but they do full engine repair/replacement. He educated me on the benefits of replacing it, that s the price of repair rather than replacing is somewhat close to price. That it s more worth it to replace with a warranty than repair the gasket. U could come across more issues. He answered all my questions with good detail and was very friendly, just the phone call has great customer service.

I took my vehicle here with Ernie mainly because all he's good reviews but only to find out he's a crook! kept my car for a few days to tell me what I told him was wrong, then he charged me $200 dollars for dumping my transmission fluid and refilling back into it and he talks a good one on how he writes novels on old cars his fixed, he explained that his diagnostic machine couldn't read any codes and wasn't equipped to make proper diagnostic and determination even without opening up my transmission to see if he could fix it so this is what happened to me those days my vehicle was at Ernie's transmission Shop please make sure you personally know this guy before he rips' you off to he's the biggest B" ersI've ever come across and I am yet find a good mechanic her in Merced.Service: Transmission

Went to the shop today and Ernie the owner first said he didn t speak Spanish which is totally fine so we spoke in English then I asked if he could fix my car and he said he didn t fix BMW s and I asked why and he said bc the people that have those cars can t afford to pay to get them fixed and we could barely make the Payments. My car is totally payed off thank you!!

Ernie and staff are really nice, friendly and explain to me information I needed to know about my car. I like to get service in the town I live in and I will be going there for transmission needs.

Many late model cars have what is called a "Closed Unit" meaning you can't just check the transmission fluid with a dipstick. What I like about Ernie's Transmission is they have the proper tools to check the transmission fluid in most late model BMW, GM, Ford, Chrysler, Mercedes. They stay up on the latest and will give you the best repair or install for the money.

Man on the phone was very rude. Talked over me and would not let me get out what make and model of car I owned. He was obnoxious and rude. He treated me like I was stupid and did not know what I was talking about. Would not recommend at all!!!

Took one month to fix my car! Bought everything for them. Slow service and lack of customer service!! Transmission service should not take this long!!!! Very disappointed left message never return call! Do not know there stuff! Always changing story about everything! Go somewhere else

Really help me out when I was in a bind with a transmission he rebuilt the transmission in a few days and I was extremely happy with his work I was glad that Ernie want to hide his way to help me with my situation thank you ErnieGlad to be a friend of yours

Called to check how much to fix transmission main rear seal. The guy said 1500. Damn, else where. Usually 200 to 350.
