I got sold a fifty-three dollar Chinese part for one hundred fifty-five dollars when the OEM part is only sold for fifty-five dollars by the dealership. If you agree to a price without checking for yourself what it s actually worth you will run the risk of getting ripped off. I was also told getting work done here would fix my low coolant light, a statement that was false after they completed the work.

Shane is probably the best for European cars in Merced, just with his free opinion I was able to fix the camshaft timing on my Mercedes-Benz SUV. I would definitely recommend Shane and only Shane for anyone having trouble with their European cars.

Shane is a great mechanic. I'm talking quality service, fair pricing, and honesty. My sister had recently bought a used VW Jetta and we took it to him to have it serviced and checked. I only know basic stuff about cars and I convinced my sister that she needed new motor mounts, but Shane was nice enough show us that her motor mounts were perfectly fine. We were both very appreciative of how straight forward and honest he is.

Central Valley European is the best! We were stuck in Yosemite and couldn't get our van towed all the way home, so we got it towed as far as Central Valley European in Merced. We were willing to accept that Shane had a waiting list, and that we'd have to do the 3 hour drive home, and then back again when the repair was complete. But he surprised us and got us up and running the next morning! We are so grateful for his help and quick service!Service: General repairs & maintenance

(2021) Mr. Shane Munden replaced auxiliary battery for us. We trust everything about his shop and his work. He prices very fairly and reasonably! Employee knowledge and approach-ability, independent mechanic, and accommodating appointments are why I choose to have my 09 BMW 5 Series Serviced here. While I have only had my vehicle serviced here several times, I truly felt like my vehicle was in good hands during its stay, which is important to me. Shane is a Master European car mechanic. He knows his way around them inside and out. Which is what you want if you have an expensive automobile. He's squeezed me in when my BMW broke down in a parking lot and shredded the drive belt. I believe Shane is always honest about your vehicle even when the news isn't good. Much better prices than the BMW dealership. European vehicles aren't cheap to maintain & service, but Central Valley European does a great job and he's always informative about your vehicle. Two thumbs up !!

April 2017 Took my car in for check engine light issue and Shane found electrical short circuit and repaired them. I am happy about it. The M3 is back!. Awesome customer service. Price was reasonable and fair. Will spread the words! Thanks

For what we needed, it was great. Took care of us right away. All we needed was a headlight bulb replaced on my daughter's Kia. But we were referred to them by someone who gets repairs done on their vehicles.

Stranded 900 miles from home with a hole in the oil pan. Gave a call do to great reviews. Quick and affordable quote. It was a special order part but within 24 hours parts in, work done and additional leak test just in case. Out the door and on the road. Thank you Shane and the crew at central valley European.

Love Shane and his employees . He treated me with total respect and a lot of patience especially dealing with my Beamer (white328i) Unfortunately I moved out of merced once I discovered this place . Otherwise I d be bringing my car back to them. Thank you so much guys!

I had a very positive experience with Shane and Central Valley European. I recently purchased my first Mercedes, a 2009 CLK550, and noticed a small amount of grease inside the left rear wheel. Within a couple of months, there was a whole lot of grease inside the wheel. I took it to a MBZ dealer in Fairfield, CA and they told me the repairs would be over $2,500. I discovered that another MBZ dealer in Newport Beach, CA had done the same repair 7,000 miles earlier with the previous owner. The dealer in Fairfield was unable to explain to me why the car needed a new axle and boot 7,000 miles later. I was told, "Some cars need more maintenance than others." They also charged me $175 for looking at it. The dealership in Newport Beach refused to pay for the repairs because they had done the original repair under "goodwill" and said there is no warranty on that type of repair. I drove the car home to Merced and contacted Shane at Central Valley European. I made an appointment for Monday morning at 10am and by 4pm the same day I was on the road with a smile on my face. Shane explained in detail how the dealership in Newport Beach had damaged the axle while reinstalling it under warranty. Everyone at Central Valley European was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this shop if you want straight answers and reasonable prices. I love my car again!

I took my BMW in this morning and met with Shane the owner, he was very friendly, knowledgable, and got the job done excellently. I will definitely be going back from now on to get car services from Central Valley European.

Vanagon failed to start on our way through Merced. Did start the next morning after spending an awesome night at the "Quality" Inn. Right before it started we had talked to Shane about towing the car to CVE, and he said there's no problem seeing it on short notice, that he could certainly get us on the road that day. We drove by, Shane gave us some much needed assurance that the starter motor was showing signs of wear, but would most likely get us back to Seattle. Super nice guy and good vibe in this shop. If I lived near Merced I'd buy an old 2002 because of this shop.

This is my second time going to this shop in less than a year, first time was for my brakes and second was to get my thermostat replaced on my bmw since it caused my check engine light to go on and I gotta say that both times I ve been extremely satisfied with their work and service. I highly recommend this shop. Thanks again!

I guess they're good they serve as the vehicle for the company I work for they're friendly fast and efficient I'm driving it around right now they did the service on it and also fix the wiring problem we had with the low beam light it's a Mercedes-Benz van, so far so good.

I only have good things to say about Shane and all the staff I've met. I trust their work and their word, definitely recommend taking your car to a shop that knows these cars- and I would not go anywhere but here.

I called and a very pleasant gentleman answered and assisted me thoroughly and setting up an appointment to have my Mercedes check out I was unable to I feel my end of the obligation for I did no longer need any mechanic help but from the initial phone call I'd have to recommend then thanks

Best shop in town honest answer and fast on finding out problem in car, took in my 335d BMW losing power when turning my ac, turns out crankshaft pulley was broken they got my car running back soon as possible highly recommended to people out there reading this. I will be coming back to CENTRAL EUROPEAN
