I had an appointment for 12:15, I had confirmed over text message on their reservation system. Got there, the shop was closed, nobody there. Door locked, lights off, nada. Called the phone numbers on the door, nobody answered, left messages. Half an hour later I gave up, very unprofessional. Pretty much lost a day of work because of them, had to find a different repair shop.Update: several days / weeks later, nobody bothered even reaching out - despite a few messages left on their voicemail, and again, having had a confirmed appointment.

First I was told a price of about 22/23 hundred dollars.This had nothing to do with my insurance. It was for additional damage i wanted repaired. the final cost was a bit over 3 thousand dollars. Next the 2 1/2 weeks turned into over 5 weeks. The one ray of sunshine, for me was Liz Shannon, the front office lady. She keep me informed every step of the way and while I understand she could not push them along, I know she tried.

Very unprofessional service, ripped off my insurance! I dropped my car and we went over the terms and conditions with Elizabeth, I signed off that I allow them to take my car apart in order to assess the repair needed. Couple of days later I received request the estimate and the request for authorization of the repair which was $3296. I thought it was a bit pricey for repairing couple of not so deep scratches. The estimated repair time - 15 days also seemed a bit too much, as the damage was pretty mild and did not require the scratched components to be replaced. Anyway i decided to move forward as i didn't wanted to deal with looking for another shop, and pan american was recommended by my insurance. 9 days layer I receive a call from the manager Shannon French, that my car is ready. I go to pick it up, and the issues begin... The side rocker was misaligned and loose compared to the side that was not being repaired. The color was not matched that well. Elizabeth offered me to pickup my vehicle and come by another time when her manager is there so they can address the issues. She pulled the paperwork and to my surprise the bill was almost double: $5933.50. In the contract it's clearly spelled out: "...if upon further inspection, additional parts or repairs are needed, you will be contacted for authorization..." There was no authorization request after the initial estimate. It happened that they couldn't disassemble my convertible roof and they sent it to a partner shop in Fremont, charging over $1500 just in tows! Then some other extra repairs and they pretty much doubled to quote. When I pointed out that this is not OK, and the contact says they should have asked for authorization, Elizabeth put me to speak with her manager Shannon, and he started to explain where are the additional charges coming from, not addressing my question why they did not ask for authorization. I was asked to sign the authorization, when I was picking up my vehicle, authorizing for something that ALREADY happened! When I refused to sign, Shannon said I can't get my car unless I sign. I needed my car, so I ended up signing the authorization. Stay away from this shop!!!

Pan American Collision was a great choice to have the repairs performed on my car. The work was done quickly, they kept in constant contact, and the quality was excellent.
