Towed my car here to trouble shoot starting issues. Had replaced my battery and next morning it didn't start. Checked fuses, grounding, and about any other thing I could think of. I had tools in hand about to take starter out to have tested. Didn't feel right and didn't want to deal with it. Billy checked in my car. Called me in hour or so and says it's the key fab. No charge. The honesty will go along way with me. I highly recommend this shop. I will be going here from now on with any issues my vehicles have.

My old tahoe ran terribly and in a day MTZ auto repair was able to get it running again like new.Excellent customer service and even better craftsmanship. Thank you MTZ auto repair

MTZ Auto Repair for the win.Took my Prius in with an oil leak, and the worst case scenario from a dealership which was thousands to repair, or time to think about replacing it due to higher mileage.Came away having payed only a couple of hundred dollars, and it s repaired.Less than 2 weeks ago my youngest sister passed away. Right now I have at best 1 working brain cell. I needed this experience today more than I can express.It s an enormous relief to have my car repaired honestly, and I didn t have to even think about if I m being swindled.I am now an MTZ customer.

I called MTZ Auto in the morning, and by 3pm that same day, they had diagnosed and fixed the AC in my car. They also were able to change my oil. They were fast, efficient, and easy to work with. I also appreciated their affordable and clear pricing. I will definitely be using MTZ Auto for all my car maintenance/repairs.

They had a good sense of how long the replacement of control arms would be. The price is good. They even will rebuild or install engines. Most mechanic shops don t.

These guys know their stuff and can fix anything. I've had two recent experiences wherein they took care of a needed maintenance item (timing belt replacement) in a 2010 Mitsubishi, and then clutch and rear brake issues on an older Nissan pickup. They do major engine repairs and everything in between. Prices are fair. Highly recommend.

If anyonw deserves 6 stars, it is MTZ. Hands down. Straight up professionals, honest, will take care of you and your car. No rip off. They cut out the blown up resonator out of my exhaust pipe. Put a new piece welded it in less than an hour. Last week, they replaced the fuel injector but the muffler guy was taking some time off and when he came back, all was taken care off. God Bless.

Moved out to this area a little over 3 years ago, starting having mechanical issues with my car all the shops around Martinez kept on giving me the run-around. Until I found this gem I can honestly say all the men who work there are heaven sent. If it's something minor they can get you in and out within the same day but what I really loved about them is they keep you up-to-date with what is going on with your car while in their possession. If you end up needing a ride back to somewhere nearby they have a driver. And I also love that they're open early. Promise they won't disappoint. love you guys at MTZ!!! A FOREVER CUSTOMER

I travel cross country doing deliveries for a living. One of the fears of being on the road is getting stuck in a city far from home with a breakdown. Taking a gamble with an unknown mechanic is nerve-racking. Are they going to rip me off, are they going to do a quality job... today I found my self in that very position, out of state needing a major repair. I read the reviews for MTZ and gave gave them a chance. I can not speak more highly of them, not only their customers service but they cared, they helped, and they did an awesome job. These guys are knowledgeable and their prices are more then fair. Sitting in the lobby you can tell the regulars respected this place. I highly recommend and will always come back if I was ever in the neighborhood again. Sincere thank you from me and my son to MTZ you guys are awesome!!

New to Martinez, and have been looking for a good repair shop. These guys were upfront on costs and timing, easy to work with, and ended up saving me money by diagnosing the issue (which was less intensive than what I had initial believed) when they could have just as easily told me something was wrong. Car is running great, and I think I ve found my go-to auto shop going forward.

This place is one of the two highest recommended mechanic shops in Martinez. I have only heard good things about the family that owned it, and their work. Their honesty and the quality of their work were well known facts in this community. I have been informed that they are now under new ownership. May the new ownwers continue the excellence!

MTZ Auto is always friendly. I called them last week to set an appointment for an oil change. They were quick got my truck in check the tires and other miscellaneous things and had it out in 45 minutes. They have fixed several things for me in the past and always have done the job quickly and correctly

I've taken my vehicles to MTZ for over ten years. Overall, Robert and company have been top notch. Sure, there's been a hiccup or two. But I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.Most recently I called on Tuesday and they had my Chevy fixed on Wednesday. I'm writing this review today (Thursday) because the prompt service really saved my bacon. Robert *knew* the urgency. He could have jacked the price up and I would have had no choice but to pay. Even so, the price was extremely fair.MTZ is my car shop till the day one of us dies.

I have been here twice and both times there was no Bull$#!+ the quickly found the problem both times. It is difficult when you really don't know about car repair because many out there will take advantage of your lack of knowledge and add things that may not be necessary. I have been looking for a reasonable mechanic and MTZ Auto was recommended by a few people. Honest, straight forward and no Bull$#!+ exactly what I was looking for. Thanks MTZ Auto!

Very intelligent auto mechanics and great work ethics and you can be sure they will not be one's who charge you for work your car didn't need or work that was not done ! With that said I guess you can say I would recommend them !

They are VERY AFFORDABLE , do great work and are very speedy! I have a 1986 Nissan King Cab truck and they have done a ton of stuff to it and all to my satisfaction! Thank you MTZ Auto Repair :)

Capable of everything from a complete new engine to simple oil changes. On one occasion dealer told me I needed to spend $2,000... Robert found that all that was needed was for a small hose to be re-connected. Recently had a new engine installed. Some small problems which they fixed.Shop tends to get very busy as time goes on but they want to stay small... and they have done that with a small expansion in the same general area.

They were really good to me for a while until they sold me a car, (they knew they were my mechanic and would need to fix it at some point) the battery needed to be replaced within days of buying, the headlights were out (didnt find that out for a day or two) it needed shocks, tires, a oil change just to name a few things... yes it was a lemon. I had the car less than a year and the transmission blew) all in all I bought a car I could actually drive for less than 3 months because it sat in their shop nearly the whole time, Then to top it off? They said they didn't want to work on it anymore even though I was paying them? Paying them to let it sit in there lot because every time i would call to see if it was ready they said they were too busy? Too busy to work on my car when I'm paying you? Who does that to a single disabled woman. Dont worry I'm turning you in to bbb and to the auto association. Have fun with explaining it to them and watching your ratings drop. Lemon sellers!

A small but efficient auto shop, they took in my truck (towed in on short notice) quoted me, and it was finished that same afternoon. The price even came out about 100 less than we discussed :) I've been here once and they already have my business to come

Such a great place I'm very pleased with the guys that work there they are very knowledgeable and have a go get it attitude I needed a fair amount of work done to my vehicle that they completed in one day the pricing amazing for what I needed done to my vehicle I highly recommend calling and setting up an appointment for your vehicle today it is definitely worth it and having good Peace of mind knowing that it is done correctly

Awesome place had to have to front wheel bearings replaced in my truck, less than a grand and it was done in less than a day! Definitely a must if you need any work done on your vehicles
