At least we have fuel on top of Hill, though it's a bit expensive but surely life saving to someone.I was driving from Yosemite to Lake Tahoe and didn't realize that fuel is not enough to reach my destination. I didn't find any gas stations except Kirkwood on the way to Tahoe.Unfortunately, the gas station has only one pump and it was not working due to some issues in payment. I was lucky enough as someone already reported to the company and the security person just reached to restart the machine and application from the cabin/office. It took a while to make it work, I am glad and thankful to the security person for outstanding service and assurance.

The pump was open (unmanned) even at the height of the snow storm in Jan 2023! Gave us great peace of mind as we waited in line on CA-88 for the Carson Pass to reopen in the evening after it closed during the day due to snow storm.

New pump has been put in.It serves only E91, and is about 20 more cents on average to other Gas stations. The pump looks new and works well, takes credit card. Its good if you're in a pinch and need a bit of gas.

1* simply because there's no # to call before you show up to find out the pumps are down. A simple phone line or website with auto-message that says "hey, we have fuel, here's the prices" would be great for nearly-stranded travelers. Showing up to find out the pumps are down is a big letdown.next fuel is ~30mi in any direction

Glad this place is around because there's no gas for miles. The little station building is/was closed, but the pump accepts cards. Just a little pricey, but makes sense for being in the middle of nowhere. Bailed us out for not remembering to check our gas level! Lol

I'm glad to find gas but so expensive I just bought two gallons.

Self-serve regular gas with a debit/credit card. No staff and no facilities, but great to have gas in the middle of nowhere no matter how you look at it.

When you need to top off so you can get over the pass. It's very nice that even when closed they have self service.
