Best auto repair shop on the peninsula! Jesse is a good dude and him and his mechanics always makes sure everything is properly done and up to date and will even go above and beyond and do everything to make sure you have the smoothest possible ride and no issues whatsoever! Thank you guys!

my experience with jesse and jim were absolutely incredible. when i called and told jesse what was going on with my car, he listened to me and didn t make me feel like i didn t know what i was talking about, like other shops had done. making the appointment was smooth. jim fixed my car and there was communication on what was going on with my car throughout the day. both of them were so nice and patient with me and my mother. i will be coming back to this shop for all of my car needs and maintenance in the future! jesse & jim, thank you so much! you re the best!

Had a blowout at 2:30PM on the Saturday before a Monday drive across the country. Other places were preparing to close until Monday, but I limped into the shop on a donut and Jesse worked us in. I had two new tires by 5:00PM for a great price. Highly recommended.

This place is absolutely a winner! My truck starter went out when I was visiting a project in Moss Landing. Called Aaliyah s around noon and asked if I could get my truck towed there. The owner said yes and let me know he would do everything he could to get my truck repaired the same day but no promises. Long story short, my truck was towed and repaired by 5pm that day. I was able to get back to Sacramento by 8pm all because of this shop and the grace of God. Thanks so much to Aaliyah s for making the extra effort. Not to mention, the cost to repair was appreciated! First ever time I posted a review. I am a first generation student for context and after solely paying off my car, biggest fear was unforeseen mechanic visits. But I had the best experience, they worked with my budget. I received a student discount and I did schoolwork on the couch which is in their lobby with free wifi. They took in my car right away, perhaps they weren t busy that day but nonetheless I felt really lucky. My car is in such good working condition, so thank you!

My truck s alternator failed and I was down the street from his shop, I had the replacement part with me, called him up & was able to get it installed ASAP without any question. All this was with in 20mins of closing, he went out of his way after hours to make sure the job was done. That s what sets him apart from the rest, he goes above and beyond the call of duty

I have been holding off on posting this review although I have thought about it often. I just don't like to burn small businesses. UNLESS THEY DESERVE IT.I was treated poorly, misdiagnosed, spent a small fortune on having to rent cars for work, walk and take the bus for over a month and other misfortunes all because of Jesse's and this shop's ignorance and disregard for customer service. I finally had to take matters into my own hands and purchase the Part for the transmission that they "could not find" or "was on backorder" for a month! No calls back for my multiple calls to the business for updates. Jim told me several time that conveniently Jesse had an emergency and had to leave or left town for some reason when I called.So after I got them the part needed and got proof of delivery I called them and Jesse said the part wasn't there and wasn't delivered. I did some more research and got a confirmation # from USPS that it was left in their parcel locker. I told him and he didn't call me back (of course) but when I called again he said he got it. DUH check your mailbox!I have let all of this go because that is the kind of person I am. But I have had issues since picking up my car from them which BTW sat on the public street corner for almost a month, was covered in black dust and never started for maintenancepurposes. I know I drove by many times, but now I am having more problems because of this issue and have spoken to a few mechanics about this mess who set me straight and shake their heads in disbelief about the incompetence of this auto shop. DO NOT GO THERE.When I get some more energy to continue I will post complete details. I have all records of my outgoing and incoming phone calls, visits to try to get something resolved, etc.

Honest and hardworking!This is hands down the best shop I've ever been to. The owner and his techs are professionals and their work is thorough. They fixed a brake job from another shop, and doing that potentially saved my life before going on a cross country drive. His team is trustworthy and dependable, and Cody and Tim are great at what they do. They went out of their way to help because my car wasn't safe! That is how much they care about people...They make their money by earning it, and they don't waste your time or dollars. Even though the shop is very busy, it is worth making an appointment here rather than going anywhere else. They're the only place I would trust with a vehicle my family may ride in.

I took my Mazda to Aaliyah's Auto Repair a while back for routine service. They were fast, accurate, and less expensive that what the dealership quoted me.

Jesse made an exception to get my car in on such short notice. He was honest, quick, and the price was $200 lower than anybody I called before coming here. Definitely would come back for any other mechanical issues. 10/10.

Bro saved me. Was the only place open that day at that time. I had an emergency issue come up. They completely met my need. Very reasonable on price. Was fairly quick. And the waiting area is pretty great. A couch and a loveseat, wifi, place to plug in and charge while waiting. Will definitely go back for future needs.

I went to aaliyah's auto repair because people on Facebook recommended this place. My car had a check engine light but before going to Aaliyah s, I had gone to O rielly s to get my check engine checked and they said it was my engine coolant thermostat. I called Aaliyah s auto about my check engine light and what I found out at O rielly s, and they said I had to do a diagnostic check on my car because they were not sure what exactly could be the problem. I took my car in the next day and they had told me that they checked for leakage in my radiator but my car did not seem to leak. They told me that my car was fine and charged me 150$ for recommendations that my car needed. The next day my car still had problems of overcooling and I had called Aaliyah s to tell them about my car s symptoms. I took my car the next day at 9am however I was waiting because no one got there until 9:30. I left my car and they told me they were going to call me. At 2pm, I called them to ask for updates and they said they were checking my car. I went to the shop to pick up my car because I had not received a phone call and they were going to close. Again, they stated nothing was wrong with my car and they erased the check engine light. They said if my engine light came on again that it was going to be my Thermostat and could fix it for 220$. A couple days later my engine light came on. I knew I was not going back to Aaliyah s auto to get it fixed because I did not trust them to fix my car.Service: Vehicle Inspection

I had a great experience with Aaliyah's Auto Repair. I used to take my car to the dealership all the time because I was nervous about having to find someone else, however with the prices at the dealership I realized I need to find someone local who is reliable and trustworthy. I was recommended Aaliyah's Auto Repair by a friend, and I am very happy that I went with them. Jesse is awesome, he is welcoming, friendly, helpful, and very trustworthy. The rates were some of the best that I have seen in the area and Jesse makes sure to take care of his customers. I went in with a couple different car problems (everything just seemed to break at the same time) and Jesse was able to fix my driver's side window without having to replace it and cost me a lot extra. He was very communicative and allowed me to drop my car off later in the day which was very convenient with my work schedule. I highly recommend Aaliyah's Auto Repair to anyone! It's a little off the beaten path in Marina but it's a great business and I will definitely be taking my car there regularly.Services: Auto glass repair, General repairs & maintenance, A/C installation & repair, Oil change

I needed a belt and two tire pressure sensors replaced, which Joe took care of at a good price. Unfortunately there was a technical issue with their machine that communicates with the sensors, so I had to come back twice after the initial fix. The back and forth is annoying, of course, but it wasn't their fault and they provided nothing but the most professional service and even drove me home the last time while they worked on my car and then drove it home to me. Such great service!! I will be coming here again.

In the past 8 years I have been at this shop numerous times for tune up, check engine lights and other issues. Every time Jesse does an excellent job and goes out of his way to get it done quickly. On top of that the prices have been very competitive. He even diagnosed and fixed problems that the dealer couldn't. Jesse is a man of his word and I fully trust him with my cars.

Amazing service! Took care of our car quickly and efficiently and gave us a great price. They also outlined everything before they did the work or charged us unlike some places do. Family run place that treats you like family. Highly recommend!

Extremely satisfied customer! Jesse did an awesome job diagnosing and replacing the timing belt on my Mazda 626! Aaliyah's is open extended hours and my car was repaired in no time at all. This shop is a hidden gem worth finding.

Overall, just a really pleasant experience with a really great shop that's filled with nice folks who do great work.I was doing my own front brakes, in the driveway. Even under the semi shade of a tree! I had finished one side, and was tearing down the other, when a bolt head sheared. Bummer. I don't have the required tools to deal with this.So I called around to get some estimates. Two shops referred me to the dealer. For a job I could do in my driveway, if only I had an extraction set. The other wanted over three hundred dollars. Since I can do one side, tear down and rebuild, in only slightly over an hour, and extracting a bolt isn't THAT hard. It was on a removable bracket, so getting at it would be easy. I figured I'd pay around an hour and a half, maybe two hours, tops. But three? That's ridiculous.Then I looked around on the good ol google, and found Joe at Aaliyah's Auto repair. Joe was super chill over the phone, and said "Oh yeah, that's easy." And when I asked when, it could get it in and out the same day! About an hour of work. So, of course, I said yes, I'll be there.The shop is small, but reasonably clean. The gent I met when I got there (Sorry, I forget his name) was expecting me, and was very courteous. I walked around the neighborhood for almost an hour exactly before Joe called that all was well. We talked about various stuff for a little while, Joe was just a really great guy.I like to do as much of my own work as possible, for a lot of reasons. The next time something goes wrong, or there's a job I just can't (or don't want to) handle, I'm calling Joe at Aaliyah's Auto repair. And no one else. Ever.

Trustworthy! A friend referred us here, and I'm so glad we followed his advice. We've been taken advantage of by three other shops in the area, and were either overcharged or outright lied to about repairs. Now that we've found a reliable mechanic that does the job for an appropriate price, we're set. I'd highly recommend them for anyone in the greater Monterey area.

This place is amazing with great people working there. We were coming from out of town and noticed our brakes making a terrible sound. Due to it being the weekend I had no hope in finding a place that would inspect and fix the issue until I came across Aaliyahs! I called and a very nice person answered and I was able to bring my car and they were able to fix it that day! Very grateful for their business.Service: Brakes

Jesse is a trustworthy Mechanic period!I have 4 cars (2 for my college kids), and I had a really really bad experience in Salinas last year, when I bought my youngest daughter a used car. I was very upset with the service because the problem was not fixed.....the owner had to get another mechanic to redo the brakes and rotor. Those parents with kids can imagine my anger and the other mechanics dishonesty.Jesse is up front and true about his service. He won my trust and got me for life. Thank you, so much Jesse!!

Jesse has worked on quite a few of my vehicles. In fact I only take my vehicles to him or to Jack Fox auto in Seaside. He gives a good price and gets it done. I've been to his shop many with multiple vehicles. I don't have to worry about getting gouged or finding multiple new problems. If I need a ride home he gets me a ride. If I need a ride to pick up my vehicle he makes sure that happens. Thank you for being an honest mechanic!

First time visiting, transmission problem on an 08 Honda. Jesse was awesome... Clear diagnosis, finished right on time, decent price. And he's has some sweet Harley's on the property.

Took a car in for pre-purchase check up. Wanted a mechanics opinion and I'm glad I did. The guys at the shop are friendly and honest. They didn't sugar coat anything and were straight to the point. Here's to say I didn't buy the car but it was all thanks to these guy's quick and honest service.

Super nice staff, they value your time and are the best in the Peninsula.. their prices are more competitive than others. Its worth the drive, even from Salinas. Give them a try, you will be happy with the prices and literally the best service around. I can't say enough good stuff about these folks.
