This is a great place. Prices are fair and if you are active duty the smog check is free. It's a small family owned business and we need to honor our small business. The decor is on point with all their memorabilia of all military forces. I salute Freedom Smog And did I mention they have great customer service!

Would not honor coupon. No indication on the coupon it's only valid for vehicles 99 and older. Mine is 97. Cost $108!!?!?. Was told the cost of the certificate alone is $30. Interesting when the 3 others places I called after said $8.95. Never again will use their service, simply for the ridiculous cost. Definitely shop around.

If your car is a little unique they will take it upon themselves to take apart the clean air assembly and install it wrong. They won't say anything. Just heads up on this place.

I have smog my car here and they are cool people, I went back I had a coupon $38.00 I showed it to the person at the desk he told me, this is not us....So I ask the young man ok so how much do you charge to smog a 2007 Buick? He told me $85.00 I think he said $80 + I told him thank you and went to a nother place in Manteca where I was charge $48.00 there is a lot of places in modesto or Stockton that charge 40.00 for smog nd certificationThey do not honor their own coupon

New to the area and needed to get a smog on my lunch break. After going to one place that was a dump and looked abandoned and another that told me I'd have to come back after lunch, I ended up at Freedom Smog. Joe was great, super friendly and professional. They completed my smog check in less than 20 minutes and got me going, I couldn't have asked for better!

Busy, but they let me know ahead of time how long my wait would be and it was accurate. Nice worker up front. Accepted my 10$ off online coupon. I've always done my smog here. Never a bad experience. Thank you.

Very RUDE experience I just had with dude with long hair. I wasted my money there! Will NEVER GO BACK and either will my family and friends. Done.

I wish i can give no stars at all i should off read the reviews these people are rude came in a day before and guy told me couldn't take me no more it was 5:30 they close at 6pm ok i gave it another try and failed my car which has never been failed trying to say i have done it illegal they just don't know how to do anything right also they answer on the phone so unprofessional and they care about the money only thats why they made me pay a failed smog they should off checked first i never had a issue in the Bay area with Profesional shops and i even called the places i had it smog before they said they email to a email that gives them the code my car needed and these idiots didn't do anything not even try do not go here i will make sure i tell all my friends and my coworkers and everyone i know do not waste your time and money.Also their guys always talking about how they hate that job then why do you even work there.Also they put it on the Dmv system so i don't go no where to get a smog done such haters.

Based on other reviews I'm glad I'm avoiding this place. Called ahead and the person who answered had horrible customer service. He literally just said "hello?" and I had to ask if this was Freedom Smog. He said "yes.", and that was it. If they can't even answer the phone like they care about their business why would I bring my car there?

Unlike the local competition, they offer a free retest if your car does not pass. Very friendly and professional. There is no charge for active duty military!

I have gone to Freedom multiple times. They have always been very professional, and completed the job efficiently. I have been to other locations, but feel more confident in the techs at Freedom, and knowing that they will work with you to make your experience worth the price. I have two vehicles, one old & one newer. It's great that they can test both. I have no reason to go elsewhere.

Friendly and fast service! Even though I forgot to give it to them at first, they still took a coupon after they processed the initial paperwork. And coming from a military family myself , it was nice to see the various military stories, pictures, and Support Our Troops signs plastered all over the walls.

If used this business for several years. They're always polite and helpful. It's great that they will retest for free if necessary. Also they have coupons on line for discounts. I would recommend and return this business.

Had a smog done and the physical failed because the dip stick was missing.the smog guy showed it was missing. After he went back to the other cars I looked under the air intake and found it hiding. I had to wait another 30 minutes to recertify it again but they were kind. Since I just had oil change, I do not know who did it. So from now on I will take a picture of my engine.these guys have always been straight forward and good! No nonsense!

Always come back to this place because Brian Vieira has the most customer experience of anybody else there. Kind, courteous and knowledgeable. That's a quality employee. You have my service and friends and family long as you continue to keep the employees like that

Stopped by at about 1045 for a smog today (monday) and for whatever reason they are closed. Clearly should be open based on the hours but nope. No answer on the phone either. Man this business sure has gone downhill in the past few years.

In and out within 25 minutes, and that was with 2 people ahead of me. Guys here are quick and professional. I highly recommend them. Just come in early as I heard they get busy fast!

Iv been going to this smog shop for the better part of 8 years both for personal and company vehicles After paying for my last smog that failed and going to a shop to have my vehicle fixed I found out that ran the wrong smog it's a federal not state smog I called and told them it and that the sticker was missing and replenishment is discontinued I was told no problem come back and we do it I get there an the technician told me no if it doesn't have the sticker it has to be ran as state I showed him the paperwork and he told me to bad figure it out for your self.... I went to a nother place that gave me the number to the referee to help fix the sticker problem this has some of the ruddest employee I ever seen in public service me and the company I work for will not be going back here againService: Smog certification

Patriotic is a gimmic, I have done business with them several times always pretty good but no discount for us who work for department of defense, supporting our war fighters. And this time the true colors came out. I had a car that did not pass smog, got it fixed and then their machine was down for several days. Today I called and they said it was fixed yesterday. So after work I brought my car back an hour before they closed. The guy said I would have had to bring it in earlier when it wasn t so hot. I explained to him that I needed my car done and he said it was not his responsibility to inform me when I called that I needed to bring it when it was cooler. I asked him how was I supposed to know that and he was the expert and should have told me that when I called earlier. He would take no responsibility for this and was completely unprofessional. I left crying because he obviously had a bad day and took it out in me, unfortunately I have to take my car back there. I am NOT looking forward to that. DONT GO THERE. The military thing is a gimmic. I have most of my children in the military and Pearl Harbor survivors in the familyWorld War One and two veterans etc. if they can t serve me than they have no business preaching military anything

Left this place to go to another place. One guy working alone. 4 people in front of me but took too long. I had to leave and go to another place for service. Went to all pro smog, and I was in and out in Korea time.

Being a Army veteran,I will always support companies as this and a company that appreciates those of us that served. I have brought two of the family vehicles here for testing.they have a courteous staff and get you in and out in a timely manner.the waiting room is decorated with military memorabilia.I recommended bring your vehicles here. They also give those of us that veterans a discount.

I called them up today close to 5pm asking if I needed and appointment, they said not necessary come on in. So I did, and best place I have ever been for smog check! The guys are super awesome and curteous. Its also very nice that they support Veterans, that is a wonderful thing you do! Prices are unbeatable, look up the coupon on their website!! I will definately be back and recommend you to everyone I know! Thank you
