The Westin Monache was a great choice for a Mammoth ski week. The rooms were nice and the facilities were great. Above all was the service. Every interaction with the staff was a pleasure including the great housekeeping and ski valet. But one employee stood out who went above and beyond to make the stay even more enjoyable and that was Alejandro at the front desk. His professionalism and helpfulness were very appreciated, please give him my thanks.

Good but pricey place. Great location close to the Village Gondola to get to Canyon lodge. One thing to watch out for is they try to make you pay for more than 1 car even though you book a big suite for multiple people. Their policy online doesn't state that, so you have to point it out to them when you check in. It's not like that at other Westin's and it seems like it's just their management being greedy.Rooms: Clean but expensiveWalkability: Super close to the village gondola to Canyon lodge

I got bed bug bites all over my side at this hotel and when I called to tell the manager he pretty much didn t care and just called me a liar and said bed bugs don t live in that weather and that they have a good pest control team. I would consider staying at a different cleaner hotel. It has been a huge headache having to make sure I didn t bring these bed bugs home in my snow jackets or bags. We then called corporate and they didn t care either they never even got back to us

Can't beat the location! Breakfast wasn't bad, but nothing to write home about. Hot tub was great after a day on the slopes. And the rooms are large yet cozy. I'm not sure if all of the rooms have fireplaces, but we enjoyed ours. The village gondola is about 75 steps down from the lower lobby, across the street, and up some more steps. Very close. And it takes you to Canyon Lodge.Noteworthy details: Free covered self parking

We had a wonderful stay over Labor Day weekend! Check-in was easy after a very long drive and the room exceeded my expectations. Felt like being in our own condo in Mammoth! Everything was clean and well-serviced and the location can t be beat. Unfortunately our itinerary didn t leave much time to enjoy the hotel s amenities but I would recommend to anyone looking to enjoy some time in this beautiful area! About 15 minutes from the hot springs, Convict Lake to hike, Mary Lake to kayak and less than 2 minutes from great shopping, food and entertainment.Walkability: Super close to The Village and Mammoth brewery.

I'm staying at this place for two days. So far on day 1, it isn't bad. This place is clean and sanitary. I got to sleep on a bed right next to a window, and it was amazing! There also is a fireplace in your rooms if you ever need warmth. Air conditioning is in your rooms too. This place already has a blanket and pillow if you didn't bring yours.

Wow! This place has everything you need. It's very close to shopping and restaurants as well as a gondola. We came in the summer to ski in July! We got a sweet that had two rooms with two king size beds and two bathrooms. Everything was well stocked the kitchen had everything we needed as well as a fireplace and a little sitting area. The pool was an amazing place to relax by after a full morning of skiing. The hot tubs were the perfect temperature 103 as well as having many jets. The Jets weren't very powerful but they were sufficient enough. The restaurant downstairs has a quick breakfast burrito and fruit you can grab if you're on the go for the morning. It does serve breakfast lunch and dinner all day. The hotel itself is about 4 minutes from the top of Mammoth Mountain. There is also underground parking garage that you can take the elevator straight into the hotel. If we come back to Mammoth again we will definitely be staying at this Westin!

Horrible cleaning service. Unfortunately I don't recommend this hotel to anybody because of the following. We have been at this hotel for 4 nights and 3 of those 4 nights the cleaning people never cleaned correctly. They left either DOG hair or ladies hair from a least a week, accumulated in the shower. Very disgusting. On the 4th night the cleaning people didn't even show up. Supposedly because we had our do not disturb sign on the door until 1030am. Please think twice before coming to stay at this hotel. The Westin used to be one if the best in the world. Unfortunately. Not anymore.

Love this place! This is my go-to lodging when I m in Mammoth to visit family. Although the unit I m in this trip has a bit of cosmetic touchup that needs to be done, the resort has views of the mountains in a super convenient location and the units are well-equipped (kitchenette with microwave, fridge, sink, dishwasher, hot plate, utensils, dishes and pans). It s also nicely furnished with updated, well-design decor, and I love the window seats where I can lounge and take in the beautiful views. The staff are incredibly accommodating and prompt on responding to requests, as I would expect from a Marriott-managed resort.

The Hotel is very well located and the rooms are good. Heated swimming pool. We had an issue related to the Credit Card with which we made the reservation. It seems it was not registered by their system. They didn't ask for it when we checked-in. The problem was that they called us 3 times to the room at inappropriate times waking up everyone. They called us at around 23:00, we were already sleeping and everyone woke up. We agreed with the person who called us that we would pass by the reception to present a Credit Card the next morning, then called us again at 07:30 the next morning and again at 09:00. It was very annoying and inconvenient, mainly because it was their mistake and we didn't have a proper rest.

Disappointed. When we arrived 1 elevator out of service, by the time we left we were told not to use the other guest elevator either because it was acting funny and for us to go use the service elevator or steps. In addition, the men s bathroom in the lobby was closed the 3 times we attempted to use it.Struggled to watch Netflix on hotel TV, the show kept freezing.Room was nice with everything you would want for a stay including robes, humidifier, dish soap, butcher block of knives, cutting board and everything else you need in a kitchen.ALL staff was polite & helpful. But why did you put me in a room next to three toddlers??? Please consider grouping families w young children together and not put them near adults trying to have a quite holiday. It is a shame the kids & technical difficulties dampened our experience. I think the hotel should offer something to the guests to help offset the inconveniences. problem solve people Perhaps people a discount or room service credit in order to stay on the lower floors and agree not to use the elevators.Rooms: Nicely decorated & well appointed. Our room had a fridge, dishwasher w soap, robes, and a cushioned window bench for enjoying the view.Safety: Appears to be a very safe environmentWalkability: Restaurants and shops are in walking distance

Great hotel with location right across from the village! Points taken away - underground parking is insufficient especially with narrow slots and people choosing to park their vehicles across two slots! Reported a case but their Manager chose to let the car park as is. Hotel is pet friendly but restaurant is not - they don t even have an alternate seating for customers with pets. Kids room is closed in summers- apparently kids only come here in winters. On arrival we found a bunch of hair combs in our tea kettle which was pretty gross. Power to elevators went out and the receptionist told us she knew about it only as much as we did since she was not an elevator technician.

In my opinion this is the most luxurious hotel in Mammoth lakes. It is located conveniently across the village center which is packed with shops and restaurants. It has ski check in so you don t carry your equipment around. The lobby features a restaurant and If you have hotel status you get complimentary breakfast. The hotel offers a spa which is super cool in snowy weather. You can go outside and enjoy a hot tub while the snow is falling. The rooms are super upgraded, modern, sleek and clean. The decore style is modern luxury. Everything inside is spotless. Our room had a fully equipped kitchen with a nice set of dishes and a refrigerator. Although we did not cook it was nice to store and reheat the leftovers. This is the only place we want to stay in Mammoth.

Property is fantastic but property maintenance leaves a lot to be desired. Conditions have been difficult with so much snow but when talking to others who come here often there seems to be an ongoing issue. Condo was very nice, clean, and well furnished but most of the appliances were not working or barely working. If possible bring what you have to have. Elevators are spotty, This is seven floors so above three, your delayed often enough to notice.

i had a very bad experience check in in this hotel. the front desk guy name was VAL. I didnt have any reservation on this hotel yet,i try to make one. But the guy answer very rude, after he answer about the hotel rate, he said if you want to get a cheaper room go try motel 6 OMG. I am just asking nicely!!! You cant said like that to the customer, even if they are not staying in your hotel they have the right to ask!!! luckily, the manager on duty was there, the name is Sandra, really appreciate that she helped me. she was so nice. I think the management should review the employee like this!!! Good day become bad day! people who ask about the rate doesnt mean they dont have money to pay in your hotel!! The guy like this should not be in the front desk!! Maybe in the storage room more suitable!

Why isn t there any Vegan food? Extremely disappointing to have to starve. The menu has an icon at the bottom for Vegan; however there is not a single vegan item on the menu. Wait, the kids menu has oatmeal EV charging. First come first serve. That s not an issue. However the issue is that people don t move their cars. For example. 11pm there was a model x parked in the spot. it was fully charged. there was a model s in the other spot. it was close to being charged. i set my alarm for 4am to charge. the exact same cars we re still there fully charged. unacceptable. you re not the only one with an ev! restaurant it takes forever to get seated meanwhile there are lots of people standing around talking; seemingly not concerned to at least let the patrons know, hey. i m not the host/hostess, but they ll be back in a few minutes and someone will be with you momentarily .. nope. not a chance. it was 7:30am

Perfect for someone traveling to enjoy the outdoors, shuttle bus stop is walkable and nearby grocery store is perfect so you can take advantage of the kitchenette. Quiet, clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were helpful with anything I needed. Sparkling wine service every evening until 10 a great perk. I would stay here again and again.

We had a fantastic stay at The Westin Monache and I can t wait to go back. The level of service and attention to detail is the best I ve ever experienced, and I ve stayed at some very nice hotels in big cities. The hotel was extremely clean, it s in a great location, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I can t compliment them enough. The mountain view from the bedroom was beautiful to wake up to, and the bed (mattress/pillows/sheets) was the best I ve ever slept on at a hotel. Incidentally, our room was a next to The Village and we were able to see fireworks from both our bedroom and balcony on the evening of July 2nd. Highly recommend.

The location is excellent. The rooms are fully stocked with a complete little kitchen. Everything is provided. The customer service was so kind and welcoming. The bed in the room was a dream but the pillows were a little flat, so maybe bring your own if you're picky. The robes were divine and the room was large and clean. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous rooms, gorgeous views, extremely dog-friendly hotel with friendly staff, safe underground parking, and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Free coffee in the morning, water and trail mix in the lobby as well as wine in the evening. Also within 20 minutes of all of the major sites in and around Mammoth. We were there over labor day weekend and it was full of bicyclists. Just beware we were there during the Rock and Rye festival so there was live music from 2-10pm each night which can be good or bad depending on how early you go to bed.
